our tradition where i’m from, is to use legends to scare kids away from dangerous places. little kids usually don’t fear water, even in a dangerous river, so adding a monster to that river helps keep the kids safe.
but we have had no nobles who’d massacre, neither have we buried people alive, so there are no vampire legends here. though there have been people who’d walk the lands as bears.
Think of Tang as Sheldon from big bang theory. He was pretty much a weapon making nerd for several decades, in a monastary filled with men, with not much social interaction because he was from the outer sect, and an orphan on top of that. It isnt suprising that he would have a slightly out of the ordinary attitude towards family and love.
Also even younger then the “golden age” when they became fortieth … huh.
Even though tang san is confident in defeating them i think the shrek 7 will lose, it will be a close fight but ultimatly they will lose.
Although getting the 3 spirit bones would be nice, tang san would also become an even higher priority target for the spirit hall, so unless his dad comes out of hiding and tang san becoming >50 rank i think story wise the win is not gonna happen.

Xiao Wu already created artificial spirit rings. The question is”Does the artificial spirit ring ability have anything to do with the artificial spirit rings?”.
Still not entirely sure that’s what she was doing. I kinda got a B-Rabbit from pandora hearts feeling myself. And just creating artificial spirit rings wouldn’t cause those highly intelligent spirit beasts to have such affection for her.
On one hand: THAT FUCKING BIRD. But on the other hand: this is how you should do romance. All that tension and chemistry does wonders not just for the reader, but for the characters’ own development. More of this and less donkan harem-masters please.
The combination of a very well-written romance sub-plot, an interesting world, and well-developed characters makes this one of my favourite web novels… Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.

Anyone else feel like Xiao Wu is a tentacle monster? I don’t know about you guys but that didn’t sound like hair to me. Stronger than blue silver grass, slippery, seemingly alive (for hair that is) and able to bind around five different limbs at once(legs dodged but that’s beside the point). I think Tang is in some serious danger.
why not? they are not blood related like grandmaster and lui erlong. I think they will be together when they are older but xiao wu have some secrets that she needs to let tang san know first because in the beginning she asked him if he would still protect her even if everyone wanted her dead. And her getting spirits rings without killing a spirit beast like when they were in the forest and tang san killed man face demon spider is a cliffhanger that will come up later. I look forward to each and every chapter of this story. It’s a very awesome book!

KEEP IN MIND JUST THEORY. I don’t know if it’s true or not. But based on what happened in the forest when she made her own ring. Her capability to command the titan apes. Her asking tang san I’d he would protect her from the world. Her fear of the title douluo. And what little we know about tang san mother… my theory is that xiou wu is a 100,000 year old spirit beast. The reason no one has ever seen them is because they can become human or take on the appearance of a human when they reach that lvl. That would explain how she can command the super powerful beasts. And why she is afraid of title douluo. I think tang san mother was also a 100,000 year spirit beast. That’s why she was pursued and killed. But probably gave the spirit ring to tang san dad. Again. What i’m most concern about is, who is Xiao Wu mother? In recent chapters, they are actually talking about her mother and all and I like phoenixsbane theory, but then what about her mother?
Imagine if she is a super beast, and tang san’s mother was a super beast/hao’s gf. Maybe that is why he got ambushed but barely survived, because no1 could absorb hypothetical mother’s ring.so he was let go and sunk to depression. How intrguing would that be! Tang san an entity of 3 worlds!
If I may add some to your theory: If that part about Tang San’s mother may be true and so on, than she couldn’t be a 100,000 year spirit beast cause the halo on Tang Hao was 90,000+ and not direct 100,000 years. Also The part about Xiao Wu MAY be correct corresponding in her fear of Dugu Bo because of the, if we think back to the spirit beast hunt for the fourth sp. ring, than the loot of a spirit bone is 100%. This is also only my thesis, but what if Xiao Wu’s mum was the only ever killed Titan Ape.

Also her mum actually disappeared much the same time as Tang San’s dad 8 years ago. Also if her mum was the Titan Ape, her killer might be this Dugu Bo, but in the nobody knows at that time and there is also the backround issue with Mubai and Zhuqing. I’m kinda curious what their backround actually is/was.
After reading through the story I have arrived at a similar conclusion. But I dont think that Xiau Wu herself has lived for over a hundred thousand years as she seems to be immature for a being that old. She might be suppressing her maturity but I like to think that she is an offspring of two hundred thousand year old beasts. Also I feel that Xiao Wu’s mother is also Tang San’s mom. Tang Hao was “protecting” something precious enough for spirit hall to assemble a significant force for. And like the story already mentioned it cant be all for spirit bones so I think it is really plausible that what they were after was his mother who was a human beast or hundred-thousand year old beast. I mentioned Xiao Wu’s mother being Tang San’s mother because Xiao Wu was in the same geographical location and her mother disappeared in correlation with all of these events. This gives a reason as to why Xiao Wu joined the beginner academy there. Her mother left so she got lonely and went out to interact with humans. We know she hadn’t seen her mother since she left when she was a child giving her a reason to go to the academy. I hope im wrong and there are ton of human hundred-thousand year old beasts because I don’t want Tang San’s and Xiao Wu’s situation to be like Grandmaster’s and Liu Erlong’s. I probably failed to flesh out all my thoughts but this is the core of it.
Yeah. You guys may be right. Couple tweaks to my theory here and there. But as for tang san and xiao wu being brother and sister by blood. 99% positive that is not true. Couple reasons. First tang san mom and xiao wu mom dissappear ed roughly 2 years apart from each other. 2nd, tang san never met his mom, but xiao wu did, and since xiao wu is younger the tang san, it means xiao wu mom was alive and well after tang mom left. 3rd… tang san blue river spirit grass is directly from his mom. Since xiao wu spirit has nothing to do with the grass, or the clear sky hammer, it’s safe to assume that neither of her parents are tang san parents. And that’s why I’m 99% sure it’s okay for tang san to put it in as much as he wants ;D

it’s only a guess but maybe around 125-130. if you think of development in this chapter and the this pontiff guy lerning form tang san and his age. there’s also the connection between gandmaster this mystirious spirit hall woman. in my opinion all that’s not gonna take this long. Yeah. I agree. And they aren’t even 16 yet. They’ll definitely get together. They almost did this chapter. Tang san can’t hold out much longer! As for xiao wu… I have a theory. KEEP IN MIND JUST THEORY. I don’t know if it’s true or not. But based on what happened in the forest when she made her own ring. Her capability to command the titan apes. Her asking tang san I’d he would protect her from the world. Her fear of the title douluo. And what little we know about tang san mother… my theory is that xiou wu is a 100,000 year old spirit beast. The reason no one has ever seen them is because they can become human or take on the appearance of a human when they reach that lvl. That would explain how she can command the super powerful beasts. And why she is afraid of title douluo. I think tang san mother was also a 100,000 year spirit beast. That’s why she was pursued and killed. But probably gave the spirit ring to tang san dad. Again. Just theory though

What i’m most concern about is, who is Xiao Wu mother? In recent chapters, they are actually talking about her mother and all and I like phoenixsbane theory, but then what about her mother?

Imagine if she is a super beast, and tang san’s mother was a super beast/hao’s gf. Maybe that is why he got ambushed but barely survived, because no1 could absorb hypothetical mother’s ring.so he was let go and sunk to depression. How intrguing would that be! Tang san an entity of 3 worlds!

If I may add some to your theory: If that part about Tang San’s mother may be true and so on, than she couldn’t be a 100,000 year spirit beast cause the halo on Tang Hao was 90,000+ and not direct 100,000 years. Also The part about Xiao Wu MAY be correct corresponding in her fear of Dugu Bo because of the, if we think back to the spirit beast hunt for the fourth sp. ring, than the loot of a spirit bone is 100%. This is also only my thesis, but what if Xiao Wu’s mum was the only ever killed Titan Ape.

Also her mum actually disappeared much the same time as Tang San’s dad 8 years ago. Also if her mum was the Titan Ape, her killer might be this Dugu Bo, but in the nobody knows at that time and there is also the backround issue with Mubai and Zhuqing. I’m kinda curious what their backround actually is/was.

After reading through the story I have arrived at a similar conclusion. But I dont think that Xiau Wu herself has lived for over a hundred thousand years as she seems to be immature for a being that old. She might be suppressing her maturity but I like to think that she is an offspring of two hundred thousand year old beasts. Also I feel that Xiao Wu’s mother is also Tang San’s mom. Tang Hao was “protecting” something precious enough for spirit hall to assemble a significant force for. And like the story already mentioned it cant be all for spirit bones so I think it is really plausible that what they were after was his mother who was a human beast or hundred-thousand year old beast. I mentioned Xiao Wu’s mother being Tang San’s mother because Xiao Wu was in the same geographical location and her mother disappeared in correlation with all of these events. This gives a reason as to why Xiao Wu joined the beginner academy there. Her mother left so she got lonely and went out to interact with humans. We know she hadn’t seen her mother since she left when she was a child giving her a reason to go to the academy. I hope im wrong and there are ton of human hundred-thousand year old beasts because I don’t want Tang San’s and Xiao Wu’s situation to be like Grandmaster’s and Liu Erlong’s. I probably failed to flesh out all my thoughts but this is the core of it.

Yeah. You guys may be right. Couple tweaks to my theory here and there. But as for tang san and xiao wu being brother and sister by blood. 99% positive that is not true. Couple reasons. First tang san mom and xiao wu mom dissappear ed roughly 2 years apart from each other. 2nd, tang san never met his mom, but xiao wu did, and since xiao wu is younger the tang san, it means xiao wu mom was alive and well after tang mom left. 3rd… tang san blue river spirit grass is directly from his mom. Since xiao wu spirit has nothing to do with the grass, or the clear sky hammer, it’s safe to assume that neither of her parents are tang san parents. And that’s why I’m 99% sure it’s okay for tang san to put it in as much as he wants ;D

Awesome chapter. we mustn’t forget that those two are still only around 14 years old. They are still children. No need to rush things, all in due time.
Something else, does anybody know how many chapters till the end of the tournament? While the tournament is a good way to learn about new skills and different spirits I also want to know more about his father and mother and of course see him explore the world.

it’s only a guess but maybe around 125-130. if you think of development in this chapter and the this pontiff guy lerning form tang san and his age. there’s also the connection between gandmaster this mystirious spirit hall woman. in my opinion all that’s not gonna take this long. I may have read the spoilers but they didn’t say something about chapter numbers.
