I’m not sure if that is a spoiler anymore. I know she hasn’t told any of the Shrek 7 devils how she gets her spirit rings, but I think the novel has made it clear she didn’t get it in a normal way. So I don’t believe he posted a spoiler.
It’s not a spoiler if people are this far in, back when Tang San gets his third spirit ring it explains that Xiao Wu literally summons a spirit ring from nowhere and then lies about it to everyone saying it was a thunder rabbit that got knocked out.

It’s either Xiao Wu has some sort of connection to some higher existence or mysterious ancient clan to be able to summon spirit rings out of nowhere, or maybe she’s actually just so skillful she can make her own skills, like Feng Xiaotian.
i think xiao yu is a kind of spirit beast, my point:
-xiao yu can summon spirit ring
-she don’t like to kill spirit beast from the very start
-she is closely related to some peak existence spirit beast
-apparently the ape can use ability close to those spirit master use (maybe like xio yu)
-she was affraid what tang sang could see when his eyes lvl up
-tang sang eye after lvl up clearly saw something maybe he somehow know it
or she is somekind of incarnation of a new spirit beast and her offspring will be normal spirit master with a new spirit(rabbit something), no one as wondered how the first of a kind of spirit appeared
I think my first suppostion is likely to be true but i hope it’s the second or something completely unexpected there is too little mystery in this ln.
Lol, back to your original point, the way I see it Xiao Wu has two options on how to gain a spirit ring, the first would be to let atleast Tang San and most likely Liu Erlong know she can create her own rings and have them accompany her to atleast give the appearance she hunted her own spirit beast as she will not be able to slip away like she has before. The second and more interesting possibility would be for her to return to the Star Duo Forest(they should pass fairly close to it) and find a spirit beast that is willing to give up its life to her, it’s been stated before that a spirit beast that willingly sacrifices itself will always result in a spirit bone and the ring can even exceed the limits, like Tang Sans 10,000 year ring, like this she could easily close the gap between her and Tang San again. With the apparent bond Xiao Wu has with the spirit beats of that forest it wouldn’t be unrealistic that she could find a beast willing to make such a sacrifice, perhaps one that had lost it’s mate or something, and if done right she could make it appear like it was just a lucky coincidence and hide her secret for atleast another 10 ranks. The second is what I’d like to see happen as it would make her much stronger, and seeing the shock of a second monster appearing before Salas would be amazing, especially one even younger than Tang San.
As for what Xiao Wu is my guess it that she is a form of spirit beast, most likely a 100,000 year beast in human form, or the child of such a spirit beast, and I would bet anything that whatever it turns out Xiao Wu is, spirit beast or no, that Tang San’s mother was the same…

You can’t just automatically assume that their moms are spirit beasts over 100,000 or/and reincarnated unless you’ve read spoilers.
um… actually you can, I never read the spoilers, but given how Xiao Wu is so secretive about everything, the fact that Spirit Hall was hunting for something that Tang Hao was protecting it makes sense. If you’ve read alot of fantasy type stories you get a feel for the plot lines they like to use, I’m hardly the first person to point out this theory. Something like the moms or Xiao Wu herself being 100,000 year spirit beasts isnt that much of a leap, especially when you look at all the hints given throughout the series. It’s alot like figuring out that Tang San’s dad was a Title Doulou before it was actually stated, just because it wasnt confirmed doesnt mean there werent plenty of hints. And I never said for sure that they were, I just thought that was the most likely outcome, lots of people think the same if you look through the comments…. Also like 90% of my post was on how Xiao Wu gets her spirit ring, not even on what she is because I’m not entirley sure yet

Is this really an Asian culture thing for young kids to have a familial type of relationship grow into an intimate type of relationship. Can they really not find someone else to love outside of someone that can be viewed as a brother or sister. It just seems really weird. I don’t like Xiao Wu for Tang San as a love interest, but I guess the story has to go this route. I won’t say too much.

That was my thought when grandmaster disappeared. I have a feeling he foresaw this attack in some way or KNEW after tang pulled the hammer out publicly he needed a stronger backing. I don’t know. It would seem awfully convenient to have the big competitors die on your doorstep, damning even. From a political POV it seems a bad choice, it could inspire alliances.
True If it happens on the way there it’ll not be much better but despite its transparency at least the spirit hall would have it a bit easier to claim they didn’t do it.
As long as only 1 or 2 were killed then the Spirit Hall could apologize to their families and “thoroughly investigate” their unfortunate, accidental deaths. Framing one of the other teams would also be a perfectly good option. Or, they could not kill them at all and just frame them for something and punish them however they like.
See I wouldn’t buy that and I’m willing to go out on a limb and say neither would the powers in this world. Only 1 getting killed and that one being the biggest threat for spirit hall and right in the middle of the area they control and should be able to keep save? It would cost them and it would be way harder to sell the whole we are innocent spiel.
1 or 2 killed depends on if they are on the same team but could have repercussions regardless of only with one empire a school or everyone. And only because Tang San is the most obvious target doesn’t mean they’d be able to just ignore the rest of his team. Of course that depends on how they die. If they could fake a public accident that they could get away with maybe but I’m guessing it is kinda hard to kill people with their spirit power. About the idea of framing them for something yes I agree that could very well work.
But all in all the possibility of being immediately blamed for the attack is lesser the farer away from their area of control it happens they might even blame the empire if they think up enough reasons. So they might continue going after them in the finals area but there s no reason not to try earlier in fact as I see it there are only advantages.
The downside to this method is that they either have to wipe out/capture the entire group or refrain from using their spirits. After all, how many high ranking people have the same spirit? It would be fairly easy to identify them by their spirits, especially if they also used their spirit abilities.
But yes, I do understand your point. If they can do this successfully and then blame it on the other empire, then its a superior option, I just think that its a lot riskier.

As soon as Tang San released his second spirit that put him on spirit hall’s “Oh Shit Get Rid Of Him NOW!!” list. Man… next chapter I hope we get to see Tang San’s hidden weapons destroy these “bandits”. Its not like he will get a disadvantage in the finals so they most certainly should.
What use have hidden weapons if you don’t use them when needet? Do you think he would let others get injured or let them die just to keep them secret? Btw it’s a battlefield, most should be to busy fighting to observe him.

as for hidden weapons, their essence is being hidden before and after using it, in most cases investigations wouldn’t result to anything leading to the murderer, thats what hidden weapons are.
worst case they’d just know tang san “did” something to kill the bandits, doubtfully knowing it was hidden weapons, even less what kind of weapons they were.
If you remember, earlier on in the story there was a flash forward where “Evil eye Duoluo” was ask why “Thousand Hands Duoluo” was the most frightening and the response was that he becomes an Asura for “Demon rabbit Duoluo” in other words those 3 no matter what won’t die until they’re titled duoluo.
Obviously they will all become titled. It was revealed back when they got their nicknames for the spirit arena team fights where it basically said there nicknames became their titles.
Some advice for those that read both the LN and Manga. If you don’t want the story to be spoiled for you, I recommend that you stop reading the manga. They just caught up to the tournament, but they’ve changed a few things story wise, including spoiling the reasoning for Spirit Hall chasing down Tang’s parents. Apparently this reason hasn’t been unveiled in these LN translations yet, but the manga is taking g liberties and switching out present story content with future story content. You’ve been warned.
Ya I read the Manga first loved it so I started reading the ln and to be honest I like the LN more the changes in the Manga got rid of a lot of great stuff that was in the LN

I never thought this would happen, but I feel that the manga is doing injustice to the novel….The novel is so much better thought out and structured than the manga. This is one of the best manga stories so far and I’ve read a lot. I just hope the translation will continue a bit faster.
just use the manga to get a better picture of the characters fights and emotions, i would never love the ln as much if i didn’t see all the characters drawn in the manga, so the manga is just like a movie to a book so you can visualize better 🙂
@Timi: I normally agree with you, mangas are great to get a look at the characters drawn there, (and even some fight scenes)…
As in most cases the mangas are just a shortened version of the LN, but not in this case, the changes are just too drastic. I didnt read the manga, just looked at a few parts, but fatty isnt really that fatty, Dai mubai doesnt have double pupils, but different collored eyes (so the scenes where his pupils unifies become null), Oscar`s abilities arent sausages/vulgar, Tang San`s spider lances have three parts instead of two, and is reaaaaaaly small, their shrek masks are ridiculous, and dont cover their ages (the reason they used it..), the old freak is kinda young looking, and so on…

It’s becoming total bullshit compare to the LN… Also the tournament also became something different making ma hong jun appre on elephant academy fight and all… Also in manga what happened to DO GU BO coming to the shark akamady… Manga has made inside out of everything… But it traveled some thing about what spirit hall was fighting with tang hao for… That was the only good thing I got from manga… I total recommend every one to not read the manga because its totally different…

If you mean that the manhua will be completely translated before the WN translation is finished, that might not be so. The latest chapter of the RAW manhua is 144, which is roughly chapter 160 of the WN. I.e, the manhua will overtake the WN, but the WN may well catch back up again.

I hope the shrek academy is about to show them their real power now. Hopefully they all pull out the cross bows and slaughter over 300 enemies. Then tang San uses his poison to kill another hundred or so enemies(especially the weaker ones under 40). Then the rest of shreks show their power and teamwork to take out hundred each(except the teachers, probable thousands). Then tang San uses his spider lances and everyone sees him and after they finish off these bandits, the competition will be to scared and realize how they had zero chance of winning even after switching teams. I hope this is what happens, can’t wait to see.

Is this really an Asian culture thing for young kids to have a familial type of relationship grow into an intimate type of relationship. Can they really not find someone else to love outside of someone that can be viewed as a brother or sister. It just seems really weird. That was my thought when grandmaster disappeared. I have a feeling he foresaw this attack in some way or KNEW after tang pulled the hammer out publicly he needed a stronger backing. He could also just be going to the clear sky school in general and not necessarily tang hao. Only the next chapters will tell and I wish I could help Sheldon put these out because it’ just too good

I don’t know. It would seem awfully convenient to have the big competitors die on your doorstep, damning even. From a political POV it seems a bad choice, it could inspire alliances.
True If it happens on the way there it’ll not be much better but despite its transparency at least the spirit hall would have it a bit easier to claim they didn’t do it.

As long as only 1 or 2 were killed then the Spirit Hall could apologize to their families and “thoroughly investigate” their unfortunate, accidental deaths. Framing one of the other teams would also be a perfectly good option. Or, they could not kill them at all and just frame them for something and punish them however they like.

See I wouldn’t buy that and I’m willing to go out on a limb and say neither would the powers in this world. Only 1 getting killed and that one being the biggest threat for spirit hall and right in the middle of the area they control and should be able to keep save? It would cost them and it would be way harder to sell the whole we are innocent spiel.
1 or 2 killed depends on if they are on the same team but could have repercussions regardless of only with one empire a school or everyone. And only because Tang San is the most obvious target doesn’t mean they’d be able to just ignore the rest of his team. Of course that depends on how they die. If they could fake a public accident that they could get away with maybe but I’m guessing it is kinda hard to kill people with their spirit power. About the idea of framing them for something yes I agree that could very well work.
But all in all the possibility of being immediately blamed for the attack is lesser the farer away from their area of control it happens they might even blame the empire if they think up enough reasons. So they might continue going after them in the finals area but there s no reason not to try earlier in fact as I see it there are only advantages.

The downside to this method is that they either have to wipe out/capture the entire group or refrain from using their spirits. After all, how many high ranking people have the same spirit? It would be fairly easy to identify them by their spirits, especially if they also used their spirit abilities.
But yes, I do understand your point. If they can do this successfully and then blame it on the other empire, then its a superior option, I just think that its a lot riskier.

As soon as Tang San released his second spirit that put him on spirit hall’s “Oh Shit Get Rid Of Him NOW!!” list. Man… next chapter I hope we get to see Tang San’s hidden weapons destroy these “bandits”. Its not like he will get a disadvantage in the finals so they most certainly should.

What use have hidden weapons if you don’t use them when needet? Do you think he would let others get injured or let them die just to keep them secret? Btw it’s a battlefield, most should be to busy fighting to observe him.

i doubt there wouldn’t be people observing tang san, you know everyone is highly intimidated by tang san right?
as for hidden weapons, their essence is being hidden before and after using it, in most cases investigations wouldn’t result to anything leading to the murderer, thats what hidden weapons are.
worst case they’d just know tang san “did” something to kill the bandits, doubtfully knowing it was hidden weapons, even less what kind of weapons they were.

If you remember, earlier on in the story there was a flash forward where “Evil eye Duoluo” was ask why “Thousand Hands Duoluo” was the most frightening and the response was that he becomes an Asura for “Demon rabbit Duoluo” in other words those 3 no matter what won’t die until they’re titled duoluo.

Some advice for those that read both the LN and Manga. If you don’t want the story to be spoiled for you, I recommend that you stop reading the manga. They just caught up to the tournament, but they’ve changed a few things story wise, including spoiling the reasoning for Spirit Hall chasing down Tang’s parents. Apparently this reason hasn’t been unveiled in these LN translations yet, but the manga is taking g liberties and switching out present story content with future story content. You’ve been warned.

I never thought this would happen, but I feel that the manga is doing injustice to the novel….The novel is so much better thought out and structured than the manga. This is one of the best manga stories so far and I’ve read a lot. I just hope the translation will continue a bit faster.

just use the manga to get a better picture of the characters fights and emotions, i would never love the ln as much if i didn’t see all the characters drawn in the manga, so the manga is just like a movie to a book so you can visualize better 🙂

@Timi: I normally agree with you, mangas are great to get a look at the characters drawn there, (and even some fight scenes)…
As in most cases the mangas are just a shortened version of the LN, but not in this case, the changes are just too drastic. I didnt read the manga, just looked at a few parts, but fatty isnt really that fatty, Dai mubai doesnt have double pupils, but different collored eyes (so the scenes where his pupils unifies become null), Oscar`s abilities arent sausages/vulgar, Tang San`s spider lances have three parts instead of two, and is reaaaaaaly small, their shrek masks are ridiculous, and dont cover their ages (the reason they used it..), the old freak is kinda young looking, and so on…

This is amazing.. But I don’t know what’s up with the manga.!!!
It’s becoming total bullshit compare to the LN… Also the tournament also became something different making ma hong jun appre on elephant academy fight and all… Also in manga what happened to DO GU BO coming to the shark akamady… Manga has made inside out of everything… But it traveled some thing about what spirit hall was fighting with tang hao for… That was the only good thing I got from manga… I total recommend every one to not read the manga because its totally different…

If you mean that the manhua will be completely translated before the WN translation is finished, that might not be so. The latest chapter of the RAW manhua is 144, which is roughly chapter 160 of the WN. I.e, the manhua will overtake the WN, but the WN may well catch back up again.

I hope the shrek academy is about to show them their real power now. Hopefully they all pull out the cross bows and slaughter over 300 enemies. Then tang San uses his poison to kill another hundred or so enemies(especially the weaker ones under 40). Then the rest of shreks show their power and teamwork to take out hundred each(except the teachers, probable thousands). Then tang San uses his spider lances and everyone sees him and after they finish off these bandits, the competition will be to scared and realize how they had zero chance of winning even after switching teams. I hope this is what happens, can’t wait to see.
