awesome. Loved both chapters today. Really liking this arc. It is not too drawn out like other stories. I like the progression, and can’t wait to see the battle with the Spirit Hall team.
Bagelson, when it said he merged with the hammer, was that literal? Like, he just turned into a giant hammer? If that’s the case I’m kinda confused about how he’ll attack, unless Mubai throws him at somebody.
He didn’t literally merge with it, when they explained the seventieth ranked ability it wasn’t that they became one with the tool like a beast master, but that their soul is completely connected to the tool utilizing their full strength.

Personally I hope Tang San goes all evil mode. We know that last time he was merciful to Hou Wou but that was because he didn’t want her to die. Now the entire Godwind/Blazing Academy people were a bunch of cowards and fully pissed of Shrek Academy. I expect many broken bones and not a single trace of pity. Don’t piss off Tang San.
P.s. Anyone willing to bet that before the final fight, Spirit Hall gives their three 50th ranked spirit masters the 3 spirit bones as extra insurance thinking that there’s no way they’ll lose with them so it won’t be a big deal?
You know that was a merciful injury on Huo Wushuang. He clearly stated that if he hit the torso, game over. So basically I think he’s still merciful.
I do however have to agree on your P.S that’s a very likely possibility. If even Supreme Pontiff Bitch Bitch Dong couldn’t fathom such power at such early stage (I think she’s also a dual spirit wielder) she’s gonna freak the fuck out and give those. But we all know Tang San isn’t doing this for the bones. He’s looking for some answers from Spirit Hall about his mother.
The one I suspect to go berserk however is Xiao Wu. Eight-step breaker is a very likely possibility coming next chapter, cause of course “they all trying to kill my Tang San them meanies ~” to which I’d agree. Besides, San’s transformation makes him cold and ruthless, might have some great injuries in there.

Something tells me that the seven fusion is just the pre-cursor to a seven spirit fusion ability…. Though it would be super cool if Tang San could fuse his spirits together with a fusion ability.
Even if his spirit power is over 70th rank, don’t you need the need the 7th spirit ring to activate the Spirit Avatar ability? Is this just going to be another time when Tang San breaks the established rules with no real justification?
Also, I don’t see how they can call the other teams contemptible for using underhanded tactics when they also use slightly underhanded tactics themselves sometimes (Blue Sunshine academy says hello). It seems like they say that just because someone other than Grandmaster actually bothered to think up a plan for once.

Also it seems to be established that once a person who has beast/tool spirit hits 70th tank spirit power they will activate the Avatar ability. The ring that they get at that level may effect what abilities can be displayed in that mode but spirit avatar itself seems to be an inborn ability that will become available once the required spirit power has been reached.

I don’t get it. When did the Shrek 7 Devils come up with this fusion technique? I really enjoy this light novel but this twist seems to have been pulled out of thin air.

And if one should guess, they’ve without a doubt discussed it inside Grandmaster’s room when they’ve gathered there after conceding in the morning; and staying there all the while, they were definitely on to something. With careful thinking, it could only be this. It most definitely wasn’t pulled out of thin air. It’s more plausible to say that they’ve pushed Grandmaster into this. Grandmaster is without a doubt capable of conceiving this. And I would not be surprised if he has been thinking about this fusion ability for the Shrek Seven Devils for a long while now.
It’s possible that this has been in the works since the Blue Sunshine Academy incident. It would explain why Grandmaster didn’t hesitate to have Shrek Seven Devils unleash their full strength against Star Lou Academy.
I was imagining Shrek Seven Devils forming a conga line, while I was reading this. (lol) Just a question, does this mean Tang San needs to remain attached to the others to keep the fusion? or can he move around? The long prep time and immobility seems to be the weak points of this fusion.

I’ve also got another question – If Tang San kills a beast, and tries to absorb it, while under the effects of the fusion, can he absorb a spirit that he would only otherwise would be able to absorb at rank 70?
If so, when the fusion dissolves, does he die?

fusion ability doesn’t matter on how you done it…. whether it’s straight line, circle or square…. you objective is to combine you spirit energy not spirit ring….. when pass energy to another it doesn’t mean you have 0 energy… it depends on how much you pass from one person to another….. as what the the chapter says…. they need to be in contact with each other to perform fusion….. you appearance will not change in tool avatar you spirit, body and soul will merge as one….. absorbing a spirit ring which is 10K+ years above will depend on how the person can handle the pressure…. I can’t remember the required number of years as you level up….. it’s not stated that you can absorb a ring while in fusion…. if it’s stated it would be in later chapter…..
The only thing that could make their victory sweeter would be xiao wu being drawn towards the tool spirit avatar of clear sky hammer and going into a spirit fusion of moon rabbit.

the manhua is the worst translation from novel to picture I ever read….. I stopped reading after 50 chapters….. to many changes…. which I say it’s not even doulou dalu…… it’s really sucks…..

Haha.. 😆 stopped reading the manhua at chapter ten.. The story was too fast it has no depth at all and the illustration was awful that I was put off reading it..!
All I could say was ‘aah crap!’ XD… I’m always grateful for Bagelson for translating this wonderful novel…😁

I know it’s probably a bit late to ask this but…. what would happen if they’d reach the level 90+ and did this? Just imaging it gives me the chills T_T’……. Add that Tang San would probably have spirit rings on his hammer then and the power the spirit bones seem to posses to it and bye bye continet! xD
