        • Perhaps it can be seen as a kind of cheating because the flower is not a spirit ability. But yet so powerful it can be viewed as a weapon. Spirit hall can have an excuse to appoint its own team as the winner due to it.

          • I think there must be something else: Chrysanthemum Douluo is surprised, while he has already seen the flower.
I remember that Tang San saw something when he looked at Xiao Wu when he got his new eye ability, so maybe she’s hiding something that became visible because of the light of the pagoda

        • I’m more curious about why they all paid attention to it. Chrysanthemum already saw it before, so it’s not like it’s some sort of secret that would automatically give away some kind of information Xiao Wu wants to hide.

          • Oh just wait, it’s not the flower btw, remember how the flower shielded her from that one guys poison plant spirit? What if… It was secretly shielding something else as well? And when the flower fell…?

            • I think that it also kept hidden her identity. The brief moment it left her side, the Title Douluos and Pontiff definitely saw something. I could almost safely bet that what caught their attention wasn’t the flower, but Xiao Wu herself.

          • “In her fall, a blooming fresh flower quietly slid out from Xiao Wu’s chest. Xiao Wu’s complexion abruptly changed, and she swiftly stretched out a hand for the Yearning Heartbroken Red, once again tucking it into her chest.”
I think, that they reacted, because now they now who she loves! And (probably) they can get the flower if they kill the person that the flower’s owner loves. But it’s just my idea, of a probability.
            Thx for the chapter.

            • It’s possible. But i think that they reacted because now they have a reason to forfeit shrek. Bringing a weapon in a fight. So spirit hall wins. The end.

            • I won’t spoil why completely, but they were definitely reacting to Xiao Wu.
Remember how she has that mysterious ability to get spirit rings without killing a beast, that was revealed but not explained quite a few chapters ago?
Their shock is related loosely to that…

        • Ooops! I guess I was lacking in my comment. So sorry dude! I meant “it would be useless after picking its master because it will wilt/die in the hands of other people so its useless to want it for yourself.”

Reading other people’s comment here I realize it was “the flower, the shield” not “the flower, the treasure” that made the title doulou react. I hope tang san wakes up soon!

      • I know the answer.. lets just say, they aren’t shocked by the flower, but by xiao wu, you will learn why soon.

  1. So it seems that Xiao Wu is already in trouble. Does this mean, unlike the manhua, Shrek won’t get the spirit bone prizes (I am assuming Pontiff tries to kidnap xiao wu asap). Or will it be the case that since there are many spectators, she can’t do anything yet.

    Like

    • Hmmm , manhua always differ, but I haven’t read ahead , so we in reality don’t know what is going to happen

    • I’m hoping that they get the spirit bones, then Spirit Hall lets them leave to keep their public image and attacks them on the road later where there are no witnesses that can get away.

      Like

      • oddly enough the same will happen in both but not sure if the ceremony will happen. just that the manhua is more of a soap opera drama as usual

  2. Could someone explain why they were watching Xiao Wu at the end and what was this poisonous light? I don’t understand it 😦

    Like

    • Xiao Wu’s been nervous about her secret being discovered by Title Douluos since the beginning (see: when they first go to shrek academy, when they go to heavenly dou academy…) and next time we’ll discover what that secret is. A poisonous light in her eyes would be a hateful glare.

      • But didn’t Xiao Wu receive the flower from Tang San, so why didn’t anyone notice anything about it before she had the flower? – sorry the wording is terrible but yeah

        Like

        • From the hints in the novel, you probably need to be a Title Duolou (or in Tang San’s case, evolved the Purple Demon Eye to a certain degree?) to be able to notice it.

          Like

          • Right, apparently you had to be a Title Doulou to see that she is different. If you remember Xiao Wu tried to avoid Poison Douluo Dugu Bo when they first met. She received the YHR bloom after Tang San returned from his time with Poison Dugu Bo.

    • Here’s a hint as i myself never read ahead and am just guessing, but remember her reaction to the thought of being around Title Douluos and how she created her own ring.

        • I think it’s what happened when the flower fell out that caused the reaction, not the flower itself.

Like if they saw something else hidden in her chest as well, or her ‘aura’ leaked out (like when the giant monkey showed up)

      • Also guessing but is this the author’s way of making the other people, namely title doulous, take notice of xiao wu who has a secret? I mean its a flower that is only useful to its chosen master, its useless to want it for yourself you know.

        Like

    • Possibly because they now have a reason to disqualify shrek. Xiao wu bringing the YHR in a fight. Any kind of weaponry is prohibited in a match.

  4. Typo in the second last line of the second last paragraph. “Showing the same king of expression…” It should be kind instead of king.

  12. Woah, what’s gonna happen next?? What on earth is Xiao Wu’s secret?? I can’t guess, and I can’t wait! Thanks Bagelson for the surprisingly quick release! Totally made me smile to see an update.

  13. in my opinion, they looked at Xaio Wu that way because as they saw the flower leave her toward Tang San, they saw an opportunity. It may mean They realized how important TS is to XW, and vice versa, and they think that they can use those feelings to use or entrap TS to do what they want or to kill him. Love, my friends, is deadlier than any weapon, more toxic than any poison.

    • And how would they know that Xiao Wu loves Tang San, just by having the flower? She could love anyone.

I gess it has to do with the fact that Xiao Wu was always scared of meeting Titled Douluo, probably because of her past.

  14. Welp, they gonna find out something. She’s prob one of them sprit beast for all we know on the low. They gonna say some sht like, oh they powerful enough to turn human and restart or be like they can switch back and forth.

  15. “Showing the same king of expression as them was still the not distant Poison Douluo Dugu Bo.”
Why is he shocked? The flower came from his cave and he didnt know about it back then.

  16. Thanks a lot, Lord Bagelson. It seems you were passionated with the story and you wanted to share it with us : 5 chapters in 6 days, wath an awesome work !

I already know what it is about Xiao Wu, so I won’t react nor spoil.

What I don’t understand is how Tang San whose Eight Spider Lances are broken will detoxify his enemies. Moreover he is unconcious. Will he wake up with only Ning Fengzhi’s support ? Will he have enough time to cure the Spirit Hall’s team ?

    Thanks again.
