    • This kind of fast release is the reason why I check the site every day.
Most of the time I would be dissapointed though.

Anyone feels odd at the beginning of this chapter?
Why Tang San started with this

“Facing the possible retaliation of a Title Douluo, how couldn’t I be nervous?”

Was there any event that I am not aware of so that he gave this expression?

      • My guess would be since tang san didn’t get injured he lost face which people do crazy things for losing ‘face’. That’s why I think tang san was worried

        • Face is important to asian culture, think of it as social standing. it’s what gets in the way of a very powerful person fighting someone they perceive as less powerful. To their peers it would seem unfair and cruel, which would make them lose face. On the flip side, the weaker person doesn’t want the stronger person to lose face because then they will be ‘allowed’ in a sense to beat on them

      • I think tang san said that because he saw seventh elder haven’t leave yet, so he thought maybe the svent elder wanted to give him some payback?
that’s why he said those words…
        sorry for my english… >.<

      • i think it’s kinda funny. i mean back during the competition he already killed one so it’s not like it would be that hard to do it again. i also think he shouldn’t have been nervous because he is already an enemy of the spirit hall so he basically would just decrease their strength.

        • He did not kill a Title Douluo back then, he only killed a 60-th or 70-th ranked spirit master. He still had a chance back then due to the abilities used and their compatibility.

Killing a Title Douluo is pretty hard. In his fight last chapter he was fighting equally with a low ranked Title Douluo that was using only 40% of his power and that did not have any real intentions of hurting or killing him. Tang San would have been instakilled if it was a real fight.
Also, from what we have seen up to this point, even fight between title douluos can last for quite a while before any side can get the upper hand.

        • Shi Nian was a Spirit Sage, not a Title Douluo. Also, Tang San had to use a Yama’s invitation to kill him. Of course he could use another, but who can say someone like a Title Douluo wouldn’t be able to somehow either dodge, block or manage to hold off the poison? Remember Sword Douluo managed to react to the back crossbow attack from rongrong aswell as the poison Inside. Shi Nian died out of carelessness, i don’t think a title douluo will make the same mistake against the current Tang San.

          • Actually, if Rongrong back crossbow attack was used with Yama’s invitation, even if Sword Douluo was able to react to the attack and block, as long as he touch it, he ‘ll be fated to die

Also when they saw Tang San’s appearance, I understand, even I didn’t recognise him when I read the manhwa. Tang San “people change”, you have changed TOO much. Though it was really funny seeing the shrek students reactions “you are Mu Bai Dai? The I am Tang San.” Laughing my head off, cause he is the real deal.

  7. I can’t wait to see how op Tang San will be as a 8 rank spirit master with two 100.000 spirit ring, 5 spirit bones, 2 innate domain and who knows what else he is going to get in 10 year…

    Like

    • 10 Years…
      Currently running a 2 yellow, 1 purple, 2 black set-up. 8th ring is gotta be a red. This leaves a 2 black set-up.
So rings will be: Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Black, (Possibly red at this point?), Black, Black, Red. If he gets this, then he has spirit bones for both legs, 1 arm, and head. Leaving torso and other arm. Then add in hidden weapons, and knowing how OP Tang-san is I wouldn’t be surprised if in 10 years he was almost ready to break through the 90th rank compared to their thinking “Oh he’ll just get rank 80 in 10 years” xD. So possibly another black or red spirit ring, based on what happens. So that could be 3 red rings, 3 black, 1 purple, and 2 yellow. Effectively for just his Blue Silver Emperor. Add in most likely all blacks or higher for the Clear Sky Hammer. That turns into 10 black spirit rings or better for it (in best case scenario).
Next we look at the hidden weapons, and well he has a shit ton and all of them are either deadly or useful. So another tick on the OP-meter.

Effectively Tang-san will equate to the most broken character ever made and then take that and double it. Cause that will just be for his one spirit.

        • External torso. He can still get a standard torso spirit bone. He could also conceivably get external bones for his head, arms and legs, though I don’t know what something like that would be like. Maybe a helmet, and other armor type things? Or arm or leg mounted weapons?

            • You know where your spine is located, right? It’s in your torso. From the base of your skull down to your butt. External torso spirit bone.

              Like

              • No, Grandmaster mentioned in chapter 38 that “torso spirit bone” refers to the breastbone/sternum.

                Like

                • The sternum is connected to the ribs in the front, which connect to the spine a the back. Which is all part of the torso. Go look at a skeleton. They described the levels of spirit bones as varying levels of ‘completeness’. Like for an arm, just a hand would be low level, a hand connected to a forearm mid level, and hand, forearm and upper arm would be high level. So, a complete torso spirit bone would be the sternum, ribcage, spinal column, and possibly shoulder blades. His external spirit bone is connected to his spine, and when not in use, is folded along his ribcage. The ‘completeness’ for external spirit bones has not been covered, but 8 spider lances is definitely an external torso spirit bone. There are not separate slots for both the sternum and spine, unless you are talking about normal spirit bones and external spirit bones, which can overlap.

                  Like

                • Except the types of spirit bones have been clearly given for a long time now. Just because it’s literally attached to his spine and they called it that once does not mean it’s a spinal spirit bone instead of a torso bone. Besides which, like I already said, the spine is part of the torso.

                    Like

                    • If the stuff Grandmaster says is so important in your mind, maybe you should go back to where he explains that the more complete a spirit bone is, the stronger it is. And it’s not like I’m pulling the rest of what I said out of my ass, it’s basic anatomy. Your spine and ribs are not in your leg or arm. They’re in your torso. I’m not saying that a torso spirit bone can’t be just the sternum, but that would be a low end one.

              • Honestly as long as he can get off a yama’s invintation, he can drop dead two title douluo at his current rank. Assuming his math from the last time they were mentioned is still correct, as back then he was 4x and got rid of a 8x. Effectively saying if they are within 4x lvls of him, and they look down on him and don’t pay attention (like the 8x did), he can drop them with the yama’s invintation.

                Like

                • Actually Shi Nian who Tang San killed with Yama’s invitation was level 72 Spirit Sage. And even then TS needed to use all his power to get the hit that pierced Shi Nian’s skin.
And for what I have understood power levels on top of pyramid are exponential or close so. For example Tang Hao who took off two of his spirit bones, he lost 2/3 of his power and became 70-something in power.
So I say TS need to be at least 70+ to kill TD with Yama’s invitation.

  15. Well, he’s the MC, so I know he’ll get it done, but they basically just told him to go die. They saw that he was exceptional and told him that if he wanted to be treated with basic human decency, then he needed to break every record ever, sacrifice every dream he ever had, kill or anger his future wife by murdering someone like her, or die trying. He should just rush to Title Doulou and then crush anyone in the sect that gets in his way when he goes to pay his respects. Given their attitude towards strength, they’d probably even respect him more if he did instead of giving in to their excessively unreasonable demands. Heck, even just making their demands public knowledge would probably piss off every sect member there that didn’t hate his father with the fiery passion of a thousand suns.

Why doesn’t he just show one of his spirits (or both)? the CSH is pretty rare and the ring configuration on his grass is straight up unique so its not like they’d continue attacking him if they saw either one, much less if he just showed both one after the other.

      • Even if we assume that that is true, it doesn’t make their demands any less unreasonable. Especially when you consider how relatively insignificant the thing he’s asking for is. Honestly, they should give it to him even if they were going to toss him out of the sect out of respect for his grandfather.

    • as for him not showing his rings, he’s pretty obviously doing this on purpose. basically trolling them in order to have an excuse to see their growth, and then show off his epic.

      Like

      • Well, initially he’s trolling them, but once they didn’t believe him he could have prevented things from escalating by showing his spirit(s). As for seeing their growth, they’d happily show off for him even without being provoked. Unless you’re saying he wants to show off by beating both of them down solo? If so, then I don’t think he can do that if they’re using their spirit rings and he’s not even using his spirits or hidden weapons.

        Like

        • Ok…how did you miss the point of the whole thing? The author is using tang-san to show case the growth of Dai Mubai and fatty. Otherwise trying to tie the growth into a good scene would be neigh impossible. Doing it this way allows him to greatly expand upon those two and show off their growth as characters and people in this world. Now as for Tang-san, while he is slightly trolling them with the provoking attitude and such, he also knows he has the ability to handle both of them and with a quick display can literally stop both of them from attacking him without a concern. Plus once either of his spirits becomes released, i highly doubt dai mubai and fatty are going to continue attacking, and knowing the way this author is about random conflicts (especially ones like this that aren’t going to really be about a fight), he will most likely have either Dean Flander, Grandmaster, Fire Dragon rampaging crazy aunt, or somebody else along those line show up right as the attack gets ready to start and end it there.

Please don’t jump on some random bandwagon of hate or dislike, without first pausing and thinking through how the author has written previous situations of nearly the same caliber.

Your Head is Always the most powerful, with emotions coming next. Don’t follow the emotions, as they lead to trouble.

Title douluo: he could kill the flower dude, Tang San has a huge advantage over him.

Cultivate to 80th rank before he turns 30yo: Tang Hao was around 90th rank by that time and Tang San is far more outstanding.

Kill a 100 Year spirit beast: They don’t know it makes him feel bad because of Xiao Wu, again, if they did I would call bullshit. As for the getting killed by it part; At rank 80 he would be equal or superior to your average 90th rank spirit master.

As to why he doesn’t wait and use force to break the whole sect because their demands are to ridiculous: Would you kill your family? No. Why would he? And also, the demands aren’t ridiculous given what he has showed them.

TL;DR your rant is pointless, reread the recent chapters.

          • Was his dad a spirit douluo at age 30? Keep in mind he broke the title douluo level at 44. And he also stated that his wife getting pregnant made his cultivation speed increase…I doubt she was pregnant longer than nine months…..

          • Why wouldn’t they (if you include his aunt and uncle) know about Xiao Wu? They knew about everything else (spirit bones, powers, etc). Though, even if they don’t know, they should still know about his mother and realize that he might not want to kill someone that reminds him of her.

I know he could kill the flower dude, but they don’t. Like I said, I know he’ll get it done, but they don’t. They’re giving him an impossible (from their perspective) task and expecting either a miracle or for him to die. If there’s a miracle, then sure they’ll do what they said, but what are the odds (again, from their perspective) that that will happen? This is totally a suicide order.

Tang Hao wasn’t rank 90 at that point. If I’m remembering correctly, he was only around 70.

Breaking the entire sect would be an extreme reaction (more extreme that what I suggested by the way), but I honestly wouldn’t consider people that make demands like that to be family. They’re just people who want you to kill yourself that happen to share your blood.

            Like

          • tang hao broke 70th at age of 30, not 80. He became a Title Duoluo at age 44, so the next 20 levels took 14 years. (Note that the Seven devils’ elder, Ming, broke 60 by 30 and is considered a huge prodigy.)

I’d also like to point out that ALL of the Seven Devils so far have gained at least ten levels and are higher ranked then the Golden Generation was in their fight…while still being most of five years younger… 🙂 Mubai especially!

They aren’t these people’s family though, so of course they wouldn’t hesitate to use violence or be rude.
Tang San places a lot of importance on family, and he sees the CSS as his family.

          Like

          • If you’ll recall, Smooth Che (as you call him), when treated similarly, burnt the clan to the ground and tortured the main culprit to death.

Meng Hao tends to avoid trouble if he can, so he’d likely pretend to agree, leave, build up strength, and then come back and pay his respects whether they liked it or not. Assuming he couldn’t think of a less direct method of accomplishing the goal.

Honestly, that’s one of my biggest problems with this MC, he thinks that blood ties are what make a person your family. It doesn’t matter if they treat him worse than his enemies, he’ll still treat them as allies because of an accident of birth.

            Like

            • Well, for the family thing, he might put too much importance to that but it’s not completely unreasonable. He longs for family (which I’m sure you know). And blood ties are what make a person your family. Regardless what theory people concocted, it’s a fact that you’re family (at least physically) when you have more than whatever percent of the same blood running inside you. But that didn’t mean he only look at blood ties. The seven Shrek monsters regarded each other as family, no? Moreover, (sorry if I’m wrong but) I don’t think Tang San did all that because he regarded the sect as his family. Maybe there’s that too but it’s more for Tang Hao’s requests. Weren’t the reasons and main prize (for him) of all this are to complete Tang Hao’s requests?

About Xiao Wu, I don’t think they know. Tang San had already revealed his twin spirits and spirit bone in the competition and the main focus of their win in that, but they’re still surprised, no? Sorry if I’m wrong though. And, if for a little chance they actually know, sorry but, why does it matter? For them (or the 2nd elder at least) Tang San is a talented individual, no more no less. The sect is his 1st priority and, yes, I don’t think they recognize him as a family (yet?). Don’t want to type more about this.

For his [requests], while they’re unreasonable, it’s not completely out of logic. Tang San has already showed them too much miracles. Other than letting them see wow this and wow that, he’s still alive after the duel with the 7th elder and win. It’s true that the other only used 40% of his actual strength and has disadvantage about the location, not to mention, lack of killing intent, but it’s still an incredible feat. For us and maybe for Tang San, it’s not, but for other chara, it is. He won not only with his strength but (and I think more to) his brain also. Don’t forget that he didn’t use his flying ability in the fight. With so much factors stacked, it’s only right to think that he’d hidden more. And he has twin spirit. By the time he reached 80th level, he can start cultivate his hammer. I think he already deduced that Tang San have some incredible connections (for the 3rd one) from what the other had said about him before.

All in all, the rewards were so much, so the demand should be the same. He also seems to want Tang San to be the vital point in them getting back their honor and glory and all them are related to that.

For Tang San not showing his ability right away, it might be because he wanted to see a glimpse of their growth and or because of helplessness of their attitude and him being used to this. People with his current temperament gave me impression that they (he) wouldn’t move too much.

Well, all this were just speculations. There should be a better logic in all this which I didn’t grasp. How about wait for the author to give out his/her logic? After all, the story wasn’t finished yet.

              Like

              • The only reward is for him and his father to be treated with the common curtsey one should should extend to those one considers to be family. Being required to earn it by producing three miracles in a row shows that they have absolutely no intention of ever regarding him as family. Or they consider him to be a god but don’t mind offending him.

As for beating the Title Dulou and the 1ook spirit beast within 10 years using a cultivation of the 79th-80th level: its already clear that him even reaching that level in that time frame is a miracle. In order to do all three he’d have to hit that mark in a much shorter time frame or hire a Title Doulou to do the job for him. Which they should also regard as impossible unless he made promises that the CSS could then use an excuse to not honor their promise.

Still, my point through all of this is that they are treating him as an expendable idiot that has to douse himself in gasoline and crawl through fire to earn the right to beg them to forgive him for extraordinary offense of having been born. I see no reason to put up with people like that.

                • Yes, it’s common courtesy but you have to remember that Tang Hao is wrong in their eyes. True, for us who read this LN and for his siblings, he’s not in the wrong but honestly, he’s still. He suffered greatly and it’s largely and definitely the spirit hall’s fault that all that happen BUT it IS reality that it’s because of him that they lost many people and forced to hide. You have to take into mind what era this story is. It’s obviously an era where honor is important, more than in ours. Moreover, even if Tang Hao is not wrong, It’s like, someone who hate their sibling just because they’re superior, but of course, way severe. It’s not the sibling’s fault, but it’s not illogical for that hate to blossom. And we’re talking about life and honor here.

If you suffer because of your family, can you accept them wholeheartedly right in the start? Even if you can, that didn’t mean others can. Well, I think the main point is that that era is different than ours. Their way of thinking were different than us, just like how our the older generation didn’t see why the youngsters these days willing to flaunt their body for everyone to see. (And just like me who didn’t understand the difference in swimsuit and underwear).

For the miracles, like I say, even Tang San felt he can do it (he even said that he didn’t care about this so I suspect he already think of some ways). All of them are astute people, while they knew that it’s close to miracle (or one itself) it’s not impossible. It can be done one way another. Moreover, they knew that there were more Tang San hide that his potential (no matter how unrelated it might be) swell in their eyes. And this is why I said just wait and read. The author will definitely give ways and reasons in the later chapter and we’ll be “Ooh, so that’s how it is” later, even if it might seems somewhat forced or whatever.

                  • If your point is that he needs to do this to be accepted by the sect as a whole, then I’d disagree. He could just as easily do it by rushing to 80 within ten years (extraordinarily difficult, but potentially doable from their perspective) and then gain merits normally fighting the Spirit Hall in a normal way. Honestly, he’s more than half way there after defeating the 7th elder since most people in the sect respect strength and sincerity. Both of which, Tang San has shown them in spades.

And ultimately, full acceptance from the sect shouldn’t be necessary for paying his respects to his dead grandfather. The approval of his aunt and uncle should be more than sufficient and he definitely already has that.

                    • Oh, c’mon, it’s not that easy. A sect is like a company. You might get result if you gather all the employee, but the end result is still to the one up there. Not to mention, the 7th elder is not the only one who lose someone close to him, and there’s that matter about honor and pride too. man, I feel like a broken record…. repeating these points again and again..

My point is, with the show of strength, he gained respect, but while it should actually earn him the right to pay his respect, that’s all there’s to it. How about just thinking that it was to make him a clan leader? The 2nd elder said so, right? That only as the sect leader could he accomplish his task in giving back the sect’s glory.

About breaking through 80th level in 10 years, I’m too lazy to type it again. If I can’t get my point across, it’s fine. Don’t actually care either way.

                    • And my point, which I’m also tired of making, is that there were far more reasonable demands they could have made that would have accomplished the same goal, especially since he didn’t even want to be clan leader and was more than capable of helping his clan regain its status without permanently sacrificing his freedom and dreams. But its clear that neither of us is going to change our minds here so I’d really like to just stop talking about it.

                • Actually, I think they’re doing the opposite. Remember how the elders refused opening the sect in order to avoid influencing Tang San’s growth?

They already know he’s an unparalleled genius, but they’re worried that his growth will stop once he’s accomplished everything he’s set out to do, therefore they’re giving him some more pressure to make sure he stays an unparalleled genius until such time that he’s strong enough to lead them.

Their demands are harsh, but not impossible for someone of Tang San’s calibre.

                  • I could understand your viewpoint if they had asked for things that they had some reason to think he was capable of accomplishing, but asking him to reach 80 in a time frame that is (at best) barely doable, and (in that same, already overloaded, time frame) to kill two existences at the peak of power in this world, just doesn’t strike me as being things that they can reasonably expect him to be capable of doing. It seems far more likely to get him killed than to motivate him into becoming the next superstar of the sect (if he weren’t the MC).

    • no one said he needs to kill the 100k beast, obv it would be unlikely but maube he can find one near the final part of the 1000 years and convince it to join him. honestly i dont see this happening but yeah would be pretty cool

      • Honestly, I’m expecting one of her friends to give him theirs when he shows up to save Xiao Wu from the Spirit Hall attack squad and its multiple Title Doulou, but that’s not the point. The point is that they expect him to do it the hard way.

  16. there is so much trolling in this chapter. tang san being a troll by intentionally using his changed appearance to provoke them. Then the chapter itself saying “reunion” but not showing the 2 reunions that everyone wants most. oscar and xiao wu. how dare you speak of reunions without including the 2 most emotional and important ones >.<

  18. Nnnhg! The cliff hanger force is strong in this one; may a stronger force be with you Bagelson, that way you can ward of evil and push forward unto chapter 152 in the fastest possible way.

Should have been requisite number 4: Bagelson must post 152 in less than 1 day, otherwise even If you accomplish the other three, you wont be permitted to pay your respects.

Hahaha, just kidding, outstanding work as always.

  22. Thanks for chapter ^^

Now, Tang San really needs some clarifications here. Is it enough to just kill the Douluo or does he have to bring the actual head back? How intact does it have to be? enough to see whom it is, or is smashed to pieces acceptable (that hammer is fairly heavy after all)? How about a bucket of black goo, and maybe a nametag?

  25. Can anyone describe how they imagine the spirit rings revolving round the person or tool?, I read the manhwa(hua?) And I realise both beast and tool spirits rings revolve in the air around the user, not quite what I imagined. So your thoughts?

    • i dont know exactly, but i get a feeling that its different for almost every spirit. some that revolve around the person, others that move back and forth, and some that are just floating around the person.

    • In my mind the spirit rings undulate clockwise around their backs. I know from the reading that it goes up an down their body so i would get the impression that they’re in the middle of the rings. i don’t like that visual so much though lol

  28. Hi everyone! I just found out about the light novel, and I wonder if anyone one could help me out a bit.
Is this pretty much up to speed with the manhwa? does it change radically or does it keep pretty much the same line with the manhwa? I would love if you guys could help me out a bit, I would like to know if i have to start reading this from where it is right now, or if the plot changes too much that it would be better to read it from the start? thx for your help!
