  1. Im really hoping that the two 100,000 year beasts are able to absolutely just rape the two title doulous, that would absolutely make my day 😀

    • you’re hoping on that? i’m hoping on them barely topping the 100,000 year beasts, and then right when they are turning the momentum tang san ambushes them with those silver balls. may not kill them, but it should be more than enough to let the 100k beasts get the edge on them. is going to be WONDERFUL. i may not hate the chick, but overall spirit hall is annoying. “how dare you kill the pontiff just because he underhandedly caused your wifes death right infront of you when the two of you were just trying to live happily with your newborn child!!” wtfh is the matter with those people

        • He doesn’t need to suppress the flower guy. Won’t tell you why because my assumption could be a spoiler. (It is based on past encounter with said Title Douluo).

      • didnt tang san just say each one of them felt as powerful as his father before he handicapped himself? soooo, wouldnt that mean that both of them could take on 7 title douluo at the same time since tang hao was able to do that? or am i mistaken?

        • Tang Hao didn’t take out seven TD’s by himself, he just threw his attack to holy palace, so all present SH TDs went to stop it. And then he just fled.

He took out three TDs including Pontiff earlier though… but it was before his meridians gone in mess.

          • my point is that it took 7 TD to stop him, and they almost failed. Everyone fears him because he is the most powerful TD. so these 2 should get raped by the Spirit beasts protecting Xiao Wu

            • It took 7TD to stop him and almost failing…because he is the most powerful… this doesn’t seem right… IMO I would say he played dirty (in his condition it is actually not) by using his hammer (Strongest tool in Spirit world) to threaten the palace. Given it is the heart of Spirit hall capital, they of course need to deflect it and give them the chance to escape. But if it were a 3v1 fight, in his conditions I doubt it would go his way…. But it is true that 7TD were needed to stop his attack, but the reason being that Clear Sky Hammer is such a strong tool than him being the most powerful… (Though he is/was strong obviously, but I think with his injury he can’t really shine and deserve called to be strongest, in an 1v1 fight vs Sword Douluo I doubt he will go out as winner, and if [since I can’t judge his strength given the limited fight he was involved in] it will be a struggle)… My point is yes, his clear sky hammer is very strong (op), that it even needs 7TD to stop it… But same as Ma Hongjin with his killer move, if it fails… he is screwed up.. and thats not what I call strength (or true strength)… I agree with him being strong, his attack being far superior… but given his condition I don’t agree that he is the most powerful… also I hope the 2 beast will able to protect XW, unlike the tragedy with her mom…

              • I agree partly, but TO ME, I feel you’re being biased toward his spirit, his spirit is a part of him, meaning, to me ofc, that his spirit being the most powerful tool spirit shouldn’t demote the fact that he’s still considered the most powerful titled douluo in the continent, it’s been said multiple times. the only other person that matched his strength was bibi dong, and that’s mainly because of her double spirits, I doubt she’d be as powerful as she is now if she only had one spirit. (Kinda biased right?) But now that he is crippled, sadly he obviously isnt the most powerful so there’s nothing to really argue about, though he claims he can STILL hold his own against a TD in his current condition, which shows his strength, unless he was just talking out of his ass

    • His spirit power isn’t on the level that he can use it against a title douluo yet, and if he were to alert them to the existence of a weapon that could possibly slay one of them then it would be near impossible to kill them with it unless he’s near their level.

      • Tang San’s spirit only reduces the power of enemy plant types. It doesn’t negate them completely. Xiao Wu’s plant *might* be capable of negating enemy flower powers completely, although that was against someone close to her level (30+ vs 40+). Whether it’ll work with a much larger level difference (50-60+ vs 90+) remains to be seen.

  2. Dammit, why does Hu Liena have to be so nice? And her brother is okay too.

It would be so much less complicated if they were dicks like Yan. Screw that guy.

Still, it’s good that Tang San warned them. Hopefully he can clear up any confusion by the spirit beasts, and possibly go missing and presumed dead for Hu Liena and the rest.

Basically, hopefully the spirit beasts realize that he is Tang San, and Spirit Hall thinks he is dead.

Also, thanks for the chapter! 🙂

    • Yes. A world that is not black and white truly makes even villainous characters decent enough for you to realize that they are also human. They have their own motivations, feelings and principles…which makes hating them for being petty difficult, unlike Yan.

In a world where prominent and powerful organizations such as Spirit Hall have not become symbols of ‘righteousness’, things may have turned differently for those siblings. If only power did not corrupt, if ‘righteous’ did not become corrupted, or if the siblings simply were not orphans(?) picked off by Spirit Hall.

I honestly cannot help but symphatize with them since they were raised by such an organization in a ruthless world, which has turned into the current situation. Nature versus nurture. Nonetheless, such organization is not entirely ‘evil’ in their actions either. They simply are what they are. Nothing is perfect, reality is composed of a myriad of shades of grey, and this is a world where the strong overwhelms the weak. Furthermore, not everyone has the benefit of observing events in a 3rd person point of view (quasi-omniscient) unlike us to judge matters.

All the characters have very interesting stories and TJSS does a great job with the story in spite of (maybe becasue of) 7 protagonists and their interrelationships. 😀

      • Indeed.

It’s really such a shame. Hu Liena will be heart broken when she finds out that the man she loves is the person Spirit Hall detests the most. She seems like a nice woman. I hope that in the end she can find some happiness or move on at least.

      • Well really the only true problem children of spirit hall are the elders like Bibi. She has mixed personal and professional matters. Yes Tang Hoa was responsible for the death of the previous pontiff, her mentor. But, normal people would view him as justified because the pontiff killed his wife. So I call them even, even if she wants to get revenge it should only be directed at Tang Hoa not the CSH and certainly not Tand San. Hu Liena honestly doesn’t seem to have enmity for the CSS nor her brother or the ghost douluo for that matter. If they did they would have just attacked the first chance they got. Yan I dont think has enmity for the school just Tang San for being close to the girl he loves, which is understandable to a certain extent. Though not to the extent Yan is going to take it though.

    • I wonder if the situation is clear as sky… or was covered up… or the surviving people didn’t know better… After all TS and other ppl like Grandmaster, all this time didn’t know anything about his mother nor what happened… The truth was uncovered after he listened to his dad… But others may not have this information… They may even think that the previous Pontiff went to hunt a 100k Beast, but TS Dad interfered and killed him. Well though all this is speculation… but it is truth that this incident is top secret, even Prince Qing He couldn’t find out any details. So besides TS and most people don’t know about his mum, so they probably don’t know about the wife.. previous pontiff died so he couldn’t tell the story (though he probably wouldn’t even if he survived)… leaving only the survivors… either it was covered up or they didn’t know the details….
Obviously its 100% possible that everyone in spirit hall (top levels) know about previous pontiff trying to kill TH wife and failed and died …. as lofty as they are I highly believe they would cover it up if that’s the case….

      • Ah, i get what you mean. It was definitely covered up! But i mean, there were a lot of high level people who came with the previous spirit hall leader to capture tang san’s mother. It was mentioned before. But anyway, the current spirit hall leader knows that xiao wu is loved by tang san, but she doesn’t view xiao wu as a human, an intelligent living creatue at all, regardless. So, you know, all of them should die! This is a violation of rights!

But to be honest I don’t know what I would do in her situation, when a 100k beast (one of the most precious things in the spirit world) presents itself on a silver plate my spirit hall capital. Not forgetting that I’m the head of hundred thousands spirit master in this organization… I don’t know whether I would hesitate to make that call (even if they act lovey dovey)… also 2 title douluo’s are watching… I may even lose my position and kill the story if I just let that pass XDDD… Yeah I would probably make that call too xDDDD…. hope I don’t get killed though xDD

              • Hm…i just saw this when i went to the page, since it didn’t show up in my notifications. Since it’s different from the current discussion, i’ll reply to. Honestly, i think it’s fate that he met xiao wu, and fell in love with her! There’s no reason to give other girls a chance, when his heart already belongs to xiao wu, right? Also, i feel that xiao wu not revealing her identity does make sense, somewhat.
I, too, would have preferred her revealing her identity earlier. If not to the shrek team, then at least to tang san only. On the other hand, knowing how crazy people go for hundred thousand year beasts, i don’t blame her for keeping it a secret. She saw her mother get killed by humans, and so she knows how terrifying humans can be.
But most of all, in matters of love, it shows that even if she has some secrets, love will prevail above all. How can you hold someone accountable for something they were born with, right?

            • Lol, well I actually do have something to say XDDD…
Of course you need to act according to your conscience and what you believe is right… But it is a trade off,… if you do more of the stuff you believe is right… sometimes you tend to fend off what others or your surrounding think is right… in that case the harder you push in your direction, the harder you disagree others…(this doesn’t need to be bad though, but it can be if it creates conflicts…, and they call it being stubborn)… yes I do think you have a point in doing what you believe is right.. but neglecting others or your surroundings doesn’t feel right… my point is yes she is top tier in SH… but she still has to act in SH’s interest not only her own… the two TD are her Seniors… so just doing whatever you want lol is probably what nowadays everyone does… but if other peoples are involved you can’t just make the decisions on your own…
And yes it is right to burn down and kill everyone you believe is horrible and merciless… and become such a person yourself and commit suicide at the last step lol?

              • Thanks for your thoughts! Ahaha! This is interesting! I do see where you are coming from! As the leader, the leader should not think for their own self, but for the good of the organisation, right? But what is right, is also what is best! Anyway, becaus eof spirit hall’s inconsiderations, they made the top sects be against them, and it has become a situation of, either you die or i die. I’m just saying, but, as the leader, she has every power and right to enforce what is justice. Anyway, my opinion is a life for a life. But these kinds of stories, where there is no enforcement of justice, results in the neverending cycle of revenge.-shrugs- and thus it spirals to the you die or i die situation, which wilo result in the suffering of many people, when it could all have been avoided with proper justice. Though proper jsutice can never be had in this world(tang san’s world of spirit masters), so i’ll just be happy with whatever small justice i can get!

                • This answer is good! Also thx for taking time to answer! Yes it would have been wiser if SH didn’t look for conflict and keep the balance of the different power. The world would be much more peaceful, story would be just a little boring lol. As you said, now it developed towards I kill or get killed xD.. which is kinda interesting but sad at the same time.
Their decisions are definitely not something to be proud of… (actually sucks XD)…
then again it depends what they want to accomplish.

                  • Haha, same to you, thanks for the reply and the time taken!
That’s right, as a leader, if you knew that you were pursuing the wife of a genius, and the son of the top school, usually you’d be refrain somewhat, right? But i guess greed had blinded them, and what was the result? The previous leader got himself killed. He deserves it anyway, humph!
A more peaceful world, true, but the balance would remain precarious, i think, with the two empires still around to antagonise spirit hall. The kill or be killed situation is interesting, true, though i’m not a particular fan of overarching revenge arcs, since i think that it’s pitiful, and it implicates so many lives…but this is fiction, so i’ll let it pass, haha! I still demand justice, though!
Their decisions certainly suck! Though the current spirit hall leader is antagonising the top school because she blames them for her teacher’s death. And my response is…’hello? Did you see what your teacher did to the wife of a genius, and the school’s son??’ Honestly, i feel that if she could just see things from a neutral perspective, she would realise that she should not hold her teacher’s death accountable to the school. But anyway, at the current moment, she’s attacking the top schools, just to show spirit hall’s superiority. It totally spells the doom for spirit hall now, though. She’s making it to be total war.-shakes head- i see her reasoning, but i cannot condone it at all. She doesn’t care about the suffering of people with no power, who will doubtless be implicated in this ‘war’. The worst thing about war is truly that people who do not want to be involved in it, will be. Lol, and thus, i stick to my moral standpoint!

Isn’t it strange? But no one, including Ghost and Chrysantemum Douluo, asks about this. Even more the person is enemy, and deserves more attention, however no one is suspicious of him.
