I think this line was referring to that his love was so strong, even in death, would never wane. THEN they believed her sacrifice was justified. They did say if he woke up and did some BS they would kill him on the spot.

Damn you! Just thinking about what Liu Erlong’s reaction is putting me in a world of feels. I don’t know how I’ll be able to handle the real thing. Poor woman, her mother died, father disowned her, she spent decades missing Grand Master and now that they’re together she can’t bed her hubby. And now her whole clan is gone and her adopted daughter is a soulless rabbit.
Honestly, except that he will loose his powers, I like this development. The whole dynamic with her being a bunny is awesome. Why I did t mind her being around she sort of just got in the way of Tang doing his thing. Now she can still be around and not get in the way. Now he just needs an arm none from the monkey and a collarbone from the bull snake.
He still has twin spirits. Tang San can always rank up his clear sky hammer a few times before giving away the set of 9 rings. The real problem I think will be losing the arm. I could be wrong though. We shall see.
Er Ming stated “Your spirit ring she fused with, and your spirit bone will again return to her body.” Thus he’ll have to give up both. He’ll lose his spirit Blue Grass Emperor and his right arm spirit bone.
But if a title Douluo removes their ring, it is permanent. He won’t be able to add another ring. Thus the blue grass emperor would have zero rings and thus becoming pretty useless. He won’t be able to add anymore rings to it.
Getting hurt in a group battle? That wasn’t even her fault. Tang San got hurt too, many times, as did almost everyone else. Pretty much just as much as Xiao Wu.
In fact, her getting wounded actually encouraged Tang San to do BETTER.And the amount of times she got hurt like that was about 3-4 times…. in a relationship spanning 10 years, your saying that getting hurt 3-4 times in a battle (Once was actually Tang San’s fault, and the other was during a battle where the entire team was weaker than the enemy. Also, she was actually incredibly important to victory in every case she was in… she was actually HELPFUL, and AFTER she caused a big help did she get hurt.
The time she got kidnapped made Tang San careless and had him absorb a 2000 yr spirit instead of a 1000 year one. So her getting captured (and not really in danger, so that was actually a misunderstanding) benefited him. And she only got kidnapped ONCE.
In fact, Xiao Wu didn’t actually get in his way. They were basically the perfect tag team.
So not only did Xiao Wu not get hurt that often, it was after she was useful (and saying someone getting hurt in group battle is getting in the way is not fair).

And Spirit Abilities are determined by your Spirit, the Type of the Ring Bearer, and the Cultivation level. Basically other than the milestone of Avatar ability no one is going to have exactly the same ability. Also 67 wasnt mentioned so 66.

Do all creatures give the same kind of Spirit Bone or it it by chance the kind they get?
By my understanding it all by chance with very few exceptions. Like in the case of 100K beast they always drop, or if a spirit beast willingly sacrifices themselves it has a high chance, as well as in the case of these MFDS’S their hatred for the person who killed them reached the absolute limit so a spirit bone has an increased chance of dropping.
That Spirit Beast is one of the deadliest and rarest. That’s why it isnt hunted by spirit masters.Beside, that spider Tang San just kill is one of the extremely rare one to have get to that level. Their is probably not a single other spider with that much cultivation on the continent.

To elaborate, here’s an example. 2 spirit beasts are born at the same time, in the same place. They grow up in the same environment, at the same rate. They now have the same level of cultivation, but one cultivated by killing and eating people and other spirit beasts, and the other cultivated by getting lucky and finding a batch of herbs that were saturated with so much spirit power that it would make Tang San die from jealousy. They have totally different tendencies, tastes, and preferences even though they have so many things in common. One would probably attack things on sight, while the other would probably observe without being seen.
Oh, right, I just thought of something. Remember how all the Clear Sky Hammers were slightly different from one another, even though they’re all clansmen, all living in the same place, training in the same place? I think it’s like that. Even under the same conditions, no two people will end up being the same.
Well, we don’t know which Spirit Beast she got it from… and it wasn’t stated as a fact that she had one.
But both Man Faced Spiders released External Spirit bones despite how rare and hard getting a Spirit Bone is from a 1000 year or 10,000 year beast. And External Spirit Bones are even more rare.
And if Hu Lie Na also had an External Bone, it wouldn’t prove that it is by chance because different species would have different types of bones, and her External Spirit Bone was a different type.
In fact, so far, there hasn’t been 2 a case where the same species of beast gave 2 different types of Spirit Bones.
I don’t think it was stated that it was an external spirit bone – I think it was just a normal spirit bone that fused with the external one due to being from the same Spirit Beast species. Judging from the fact that it covered his chest, I’m guessing that it might have been a torso bone.
Could he even have absorbed the external spirit bone? The first one was linked to absorbing the ring but he wouldn’t have been able to absorb a ring right there. A normal spirit bone seems to be pretty much indestructible (yama’s invitation didn’t affect one at all) but external ones might be a totally different matter.
It was actually stated in the chapter that his Spider Lance absorbed an external Spirit Bone from the Spider Tang San just killed.
And them being indestructible wasn’t shown, cause Yama’s invitation was poison, so maybe acidity isn’t enough to destroy them and you need actual force….

I so agree with the comment about DMR. Its like is she even reading the story. she just asks randomly stupid questions. Making her own theories based on nothing(for example the spirit bone type being dropped depending on something. which nowhere in the story implied that. Only thing that was said about spirit bones was by chance.)

If he didn’t already have an external torso bone, he would now have one that consisted of a red breastplate. But he already had one, and it absorbed the new one and incorporated it. So he now has a breastplate with the 8 spider lances connected to it. The thing that makes connecting armor from his other spirit bones may be the ability that the external spirit bone would have had anyway.

Tang San never got one, but among Spirit Bones, It along with the Head Spirit Bone are the most valuable (without counting External Spirit Bones which are exceptions too rare to count).

Incorrect. I have read the LN so I can’t obviously type out spoilers, however there ARE chest/torso bones. In effect there are 7 total spirit bone types that one can get. Left leg, right leg, right arm, left arm, chest/torso, head and perhaps the most rare external.

DMR….notice how the fusion ability of his spirit bones made all of his other spirit bones become external spirit bones (reason why they came on the outside). so with that fact would that just me that armor on his chest is his torso spirit bone that became external because of the fusion ability. the clues are right there.
Torso is the most valuable, followed by head then the rest (I don’t remember the exact rankings of the leg and arm bones). Not counting external spirit bones of course.
Gotta say he definitely is lucky though, imagine if Xiao Wu dropped a head.
So as far as I understood there are 2 factors: first the probability that a spirit beast actually drops a sprit bone, which is determined by its cultivation, and its feelings towards you. And then the question what kind of spirit bone is dropped. But at that point, I would say it’s pretty random, because if it wasn’t everybody would just hunt the spirit beasts with the best bones. As for external spirit bones, it’s logical that they depend on the species.. why would a bird drop spider legs? So birds can probably drop wings, spiders and insect drop extra legs, or exoskeletons (probablby what gave the 8 spider lances the ability to form an armour), animals with tails can drop tails, etc…

Like if a Bird gave a left leg bone, would the same spirit killed by another person also give a left leg bone? Or would the right leg bone also have a chance to appear?

The author didn’t state what kind of spirit bone was dropped, only that it was an external one. Might as well had been an external spider eye bone (I know it sounds weird but I guess you get what I mean).
I don’t think the Spider would have anything else that could be external though. And I’d think there would need to be an actual bone or armor piece involved… so tissue probably wouldn’t work.
I’d think the Spider Legs are external because humans don’t have 8 legs and all 8 legs came together and became a part of his back…
So my guess would be that External Spirit Bones are things that don’t match the bones on the human body (Wings, Spider legs, Tails, etc.)

But silk glands are a body part, just like legs. Torso and Head Bones existing says that it’s not only limbs that are there so external spirit bones are probably the same, they don’t have to be locomotion related.
I just recalled that a spider does not even possess bones and moves their legs via hydraulic pressure or something similar, weird stuff.
Well it would be kinda sad if the same spirit beast always dropped the same bone. You would have no chance of getting a full set of the same beast. I mean, the author never mentionned anything like that, but if you take an RPG as comparison, where you can also equip the different body parts, you usually get a bonus when you have more than one piece of the same set. But let’s just wait, at this point we don’t have enough info. Maybe later TS will get a BSG-Torsobone or something like that, and we’ll get more info about spirit bones.
As for another kind of bone that spiders could drop, as I already mentionnen, it could very well be an exoskeleton-bone, since spiders don’t have bones, but are just gelatinous stuff inside a hard shell. (and exoskeletton even litterally means “external bone”)
I really think that the external bone dropped was a torso one, just that it fused.
Besides the two external bones was dropped due to the circumstances, too much hatred from the spider and later besides hatred the spider god state. Remember that the second spider didn’t gave any bone, so taking that into account, the circumstance’s is what produces the bone, because in both cases was such extreme circumstances , both were extreme bones.

There really isn’t enough information on external spirit bones, probably because they are just too rare and little is known about them at all. Hu liena seems to have one, but we haven’t been introduced to any others so far.
His is special since it has the drain ability if he didn’t have the drain killing those spiders would be useless as he wouldn’t be able to absorb their cultivation

well it pretty much described him having an armor on his torso. The rest of his spirit bones also became an external bone from the fusion ability of the spirit bones. Hence why the torso became an external bone.

You need to kill a person to remove their spirit bones, only exception seems to be titled spiritmasters but they have to sacrifice the limb the bone is in (so torso and head is out of question).

Something I refelected over; the whole conflict between spirit hall and Tang Hao/Tang sect only started because the former supreme pontiff was greedy and wanted the ring and spirit bone from Tang Sans mother…. I wonder if Bibi Dong ever reflected over that, or if she’s long since been blinded by greed and hade/sadness. Maybe Hu Liena would reflect over it and wonder why spirit hall have to be enemies with people who just want to protect their loved ones…
So, his new spirit ring seems to have a boost ability similar to the Spider God Possession in that it raises his overall abilities but at a high cost of spirit power rather than using a year of cultivation for each second of activation. Maybe Teacher can show him how to better control that so it uses less spirit power and is more stable?
Wow, I was pretty close. I guessed the ability would be her invincibility with less restrictions/the most broken thing possible. Turns out it was teleportation with less restrictions, plus invincibility as a bonus. That probably is more broken.
Damn Tang San is OP for his current level. He got 2 abilities from Xiao Wu’s spirit bone (just that teleport is ludicrous. 100m for 1% so if using all spirit power you could travel 10km almost instantly), and overall boost for his all abilities and then another* external spirit bone from that spider. I want to see if Grandmaster knows or can say anything about that armour.
I got a question… how will Tang San other spirit bone evolve if they don’t have a drain ability?
Grandmaster clearly said they grow along with the user then why Tang San skull didnt change after two rings absorbtion? The only changed happened once he killed that spider and used drain!
So how does a spirit bone evolve, when it doesnt have a drain ability? Even after his spirit “rebirth”, where he already had the skull spirit bone, it didnt “evolve” like the Spider Lances.
Only external spirit bones actually grow and evolve with the user, others ‘just’ grant abilities and a one-time boost to stats. Obviously, those abilities will get stronger when the spiritmaster gets stronger.
Curious to see if Hu Liena ultimately turns traitor. Somehow I can see her helping Tang San at the last moment and dying as a result. Regardless, thanks for the chapter. You’re amazing.
I assume Xiao Wu’s spirit bone gives Tang San two abilities because her soul still resides in it. I mean, she is gonna come back, eventually. Her soul still exists. Maybe the Golden Body protection is a manifestation of Xiao Wu’s desire to protect her lover. And both of the abilities were hers to begin with.

Lots of story with OP characters like that often become close to gods. Or at least Superman-like.
I never liked Dragonball (drawing style is part of it for that one… banana hair, really?! and the french version is plain awful) or Superman, they had too much powers. In Martial God Asura ( a other Chinese novel), the main character clearly gonna get there someday but I prefer it to Tang San, simply because he wasnt born awesome, he became awesome.
Anyway, back to Tang San… I wouldnt be surprise he become a “god”, as even his setback (like the demon spider preventing him to escape), made him more powerful in the end. Even if he restaure Xiao Wu and lose a arm to restaure her by removing Xiao Wu spirit bone, I feel like he wont need both of his arms to be OP. IF he lose his arm at all.
I like when a character is lucky in his badluck but in this story, I cant feel attached to Tang San. Because of it, even is relationship with Xiao Wu seem like a way to make him more powerful in the end. Sure, he will have to give Blue Silver Emperor spirit to her (since its the one with her spirit ring, its the logical choice) but he have twin spirit.
In Tang San case, he looks like he is the puppet of destiny to make him a existence close to a god, like a Asura (which is his nickname when he is gonna be a Titled Douluo, it was confirmed in a earlier chapter with the nickname they chosen for the abttle arenas).
Especially since he is using Grandmaster knowledge AND his knowledge from his past life, I feel like its cheating. I like heroes like Naruto or Chu Feng (Martial God Asura) who started weak but became strong thought hardwork, willpower and wits. I still love Douluo Dalu light novel but its not because of Tang San, rather I love the writting style, the world behind it, the action scenes are awesome, etc.
Anyway, my point is that is probably gonna get even more OP from now on. For exemple. Normal spirit master have a hard time getting ONE spirit bone, yet he have 4 now. His father have a full set though… Maybe its not THAT rare with a powerful background.

I completely agree with you, except for the comparison with Chu Feng… After all CF’s background is probably the most impressive thing ever (not only because he has an super OP bloodline, but don’t forget he got sent to the Nine Provinces by his family, they put the crazy homeless dude there to protect him, they caught the queen of the strongest spirit world, stripped her of her powers, constructed a spirit space for CF, put her in there, caught a second OP world spirit, put him in there too, …) As far as OP background goes, CF is definitively nr1

When he refers to the spider as having 10,000 years, he isi referring to the category of spirit ring. it is in fact 30,000 years of cultivation, but it still falls under the black rng category {10,000-99,999}
I just hope that after Tang San can finally be happy and be w/ Xiao Wu after finishing his business. Ugh… Tang San has to lose 9 Spirit rings in exchange for Xiao Wu’s resurrection.~ IDK if thats a great thing or not cuz Tang San has a twin spirit so losing 9 spirit rings doesnt matter as long as he starts gaining spirit rings for the hammer one now.

Tbh, with the way it’s turning out Xu would get rabbit+super grass spirits and Tang will only have his hammer. That doesn’t seem to lead up to a decent ending. I mean, giving away a literal part of himself, he’ll no longer have the right to have blue hair etc etc.

Why would he lose an arm? It was said by Er Ming that he would pass all of his cultivation onto Xiao Wu, and would destroy his spirit in the process. But who knows, with the flower she ate to survive I would say she is close to 10k cultivation now, maybe BSE will remain.

Honestly, except that he will loose his powers, I like this development. The whole dynamic with her being a bunny is awesome. Why I did t mind her being around she sort of just got in the way of Tang doing his thing. Now she can still be around and not get in the way. Now he just needs an arm none from the monkey and a collarbone from the bull snake.

Getting hurt in a group battle? That wasn’t even her fault. Tang San got hurt too, many times, as did almost everyone else. Pretty much just as much as Xiao Wu.
In fact, her getting wounded actually encouraged Tang San to do BETTER.And the amount of times she got hurt like that was about 3-4 times…. in a relationship spanning 10 years, your saying that getting hurt 3-4 times in a battle (Once was actually Tang San’s fault, and the other was during a battle where the entire team was weaker than the enemy. Also, she was actually incredibly important to victory in every case she was in… she was actually HELPFUL, and AFTER she caused a big help did she get hurt.
The time she got kidnapped made Tang San careless and had him absorb a 2000 yr spirit instead of a 1000 year one. So her getting captured (and not really in danger, so that was actually a misunderstanding) benefited him. And she only got kidnapped ONCE.
In fact, Xiao Wu didn’t actually get in his way. They were basically the perfect tag team.
So not only did Xiao Wu not get hurt that often, it was after she was useful (and saying someone getting hurt in group battle is getting in the way is not fair).

By my understanding it all by chance with very few exceptions. Like in the case of 100K beast they always drop, or if a spirit beast willingly sacrifices themselves it has a high chance, as well as in the case of these MFDS’S their hatred for the person who killed them reached the absolute limit so a spirit bone has an increased chance of dropping.

That Spirit Beast is one of the deadliest and rarest. That’s why it isnt hunted by spirit masters.Beside, that spider Tang San just kill is one of the extremely rare one to have get to that level. Their is probably not a single other spider with that much cultivation on the continent.
However, does a spirit have a hight chance of giving a external spirit bone at each time? I wonder about that… Im sure it will be explained further in the light novel or something.

To elaborate, here’s an example. 2 spirit beasts are born at the same time, in the same place. They grow up in the same environment, at the same rate. They now have the same level of cultivation, but one cultivated by killing and eating people and other spirit beasts, and the other cultivated by getting lucky and finding a batch of herbs that were saturated with so much spirit power that it would make Tang San die from jealousy. They have totally different tendencies, tastes, and preferences even though they have so many things in common. One would probably attack things on sight, while the other would probably observe without being seen.
Oh, right, I just thought of something. Remember how all the Clear Sky Hammers were slightly different from one another, even though they’re all clansmen, all living in the same place, training in the same place? I think it’s like that. Even under the same conditions, no two people will end up being the same.

Well, we don’t know which Spirit Beast she got it from… and it wasn’t stated as a fact that she had one.
But both Man Faced Spiders released External Spirit bones despite how rare and hard getting a Spirit Bone is from a 1000 year or 10,000 year beast. And External Spirit Bones are even more rare.
And if Hu Lie Na also had an External Bone, it wouldn’t prove that it is by chance because different species would have different types of bones, and her External Spirit Bone was a different type.
In fact, so far, there hasn’t been 2 a case where the same species of beast gave 2 different types of Spirit Bones.

Could he even have absorbed the external spirit bone? The first one was linked to absorbing the ring but he wouldn’t have been able to absorb a ring right there. A normal spirit bone seems to be pretty much indestructible (yama’s invitation didn’t affect one at all) but external ones might be a totally different matter.

It was actually stated in the chapter that his Spider Lance absorbed an external Spirit Bone from the Spider Tang San just killed.
And them being indestructible wasn’t shown, cause Yama’s invitation was poison, so maybe acidity isn’t enough to destroy them and you need actual force….

No, it was a 2nd external Spirit Bone… it just some how created an armor once it fused with his other Spirit Bones….

If he didn’t already have an external torso bone, he would now have one that consisted of a red breastplate. But he already had one, and it absorbed the new one and incorporated it. So he now has a breastplate with the 8 spider lances connected to it. The thing that makes connecting armor from his other spirit bones may be the ability that the external spirit bone would have had anyway.
As far as normal spirit bones go, he does not have torso, right arm, or right leg. Or was it left arm and leg? Anyway, an arm and a leg.

Im just thinking the title was evolution. So maybe its a part of continous evolution maybe if he killed a 100k man face spider it will evolve again first main evolved 6k effect spider lances become stonger and

Tang San never got one, but among Spirit Bones, It along with the Head Spirit Bone are the most valuable (without counting External Spirit Bones which are exceptions too rare to count).

Everyone can have up to 6 spirit bones.
Torso -> Eight Spider Lances
Skull (or head) -> Focusing Wisdom Skull Bone (Tang san won from Spirit Hall)
left arm -> none
right arm -> Soft Bone Demon Rabbit Right arm Spirit Bone
left leg -> none
right leg -> Spirit bone from his mother

Chest, Torso… It should be obvious what I meant… it was basically the Spirit Bone for the upper body (minus arms and head).
And the Spider Lance isn’t a Torso, but an EXTERNAL Spirit Bone.
Chapter 38 actually stated that the Spider Lance WAS NOT a Torso Spirit Bone.
External Spirit Bones are an exception to the rule…
And your quotes and pages had nothing to do with what we were talking about (Though I thank you for trying to remind me).

Incorrect. I have read the LN so I can’t obviously type out spoilers, however there ARE chest/torso bones. In effect there are 7 total spirit bone types that one can get. Left leg, right leg, right arm, left arm, chest/torso, head and perhaps the most rare external.

DMR….notice how the fusion ability of his spirit bones made all of his other spirit bones become external spirit bones (reason why they came on the outside). so with that fact would that just me that armor on his chest is his torso spirit bone that became external because of the fusion ability. the clues are right there.

Torso is the most valuable, followed by head then the rest (I don’t remember the exact rankings of the leg and arm bones). Not counting external spirit bones of course.
Gotta say he definitely is lucky though, imagine if Xiao Wu dropped a head.

So as far as I understood there are 2 factors: first the probability that a spirit beast actually drops a sprit bone, which is determined by its cultivation, and its feelings towards you. And then the question what kind of spirit bone is dropped. But at that point, I would say it’s pretty random, because if it wasn’t everybody would just hunt the spirit beasts with the best bones. As for external spirit bones, it’s logical that they depend on the species.. why would a bird drop spider legs? So birds can probably drop wings, spiders and insect drop extra legs, or exoskeletons (probablby what gave the 8 spider lances the ability to form an armour), animals with tails can drop tails, etc…

Outside of 100 year spirits, Spirit bones are rare, I realize that too (and it is mostly by chance).
Like if a Bird gave a left leg bone, would the same spirit killed by another person also give a left leg bone? Or would the right leg bone also have a chance to appear?
I mean, the Spider could have also given a Torso or head spirit bone too… but instead, Tang San killed the Spider and the same type of spirit bone came out.
So, could it be that all Spirit Beasts of the same type only give that one type of Spirit Bone?
So Man Faced Spider only gives external. Xiao Wu’s rabbit type beast only gives arm bones etc etc.?
And lots of people DO hunt Spirit Beasts in hopes of getting a Spirit Bone, but just getting one is too rare unless if the Beast is super pissed, or gives it up of their own free will…

I don’t think the Spider would have anything else that could be external though. And I’d think there would need to be an actual bone or armor piece involved… so tissue probably wouldn’t work.
I’d think the Spider Legs are external because humans don’t have 8 legs and all 8 legs came together and became a part of his back…
So my guess would be that External Spirit Bones are things that don’t match the bones on the human body (Wings, Spider legs, Tails, etc.)

But silk glands are a body part, just like legs. Torso and Head Bones existing says that it’s not only limbs that are there so external spirit bones are probably the same, they don’t have to be locomotion related.
I just recalled that a spider does not even possess bones and moves their legs via hydraulic pressure or something similar, weird stuff.

Well it would be kinda sad if the same spirit beast always dropped the same bone. You would have no chance of getting a full set of the same beast. I mean, the author never mentionned anything like that, but if you take an RPG as comparison, where you can also equip the different body parts, you usually get a bonus when you have more than one piece of the same set. But let’s just wait, at this point we don’t have enough info. Maybe later TS will get a BSG-Torsobone or something like that, and we’ll get more info about spirit bones.
As for another kind of bone that spiders could drop, as I already mentionnen, it could very well be an exoskeleton-bone, since spiders don’t have bones, but are just gelatinous stuff inside a hard shell. (and exoskeletton even litterally means “external bone”)

I really think that the external bone dropped was a torso one, just that it fused.
Besides the two external bones was dropped due to the circumstances, too much hatred from the spider and later besides hatred the spider god state. Remember that the second spider didn’t gave any bone, so taking that into account, the circumstance’s is what produces the bone, because in both cases was such extreme circumstances , both were extreme bones.

There really isn’t enough information on external spirit bones, probably because they are just too rare and little is known about them at all. Hu liena seems to have one, but we haven’t been introduced to any others so far.

Also, I don’t think he will kill Bibi Dong, Grandmaster still has a thing for her, and if I remember correctly, when she asked him if he would do the same for her (saving her from sure death… was the episode where he went to spirit hall to persuade her not to kill TS), he answered yes. Something I refelected over; the whole conflict between spirit hall and Tang Hao/Tang sect only started because the former supreme pontiff was greedy and wanted the ring and spirit bone from Tang Sans mother…. I wonder if Bibi Dong ever reflected over that, or if she’s long since been blinded by greed and hade/sadness. Maybe Hu Liena would reflect over it and wonder why spirit hall have to be enemies with people who just want to protect their loved ones…

So, his new spirit ring seems to have a boost ability similar to the Spider God Possession in that it raises his overall abilities but at a high cost of spirit power rather than using a year of cultivation for each second of activation. Maybe Teacher can show him how to better control that so it uses less spirit power and is more stable?

Wow, I was pretty close. I guessed the ability would be her invincibility with less restrictions/the most broken thing possible. Turns out it was teleportation with less restrictions, plus invincibility as a bonus. That probably is more broken.

Damn Tang San is OP for his current level. He got 2 abilities from Xiao Wu’s spirit bone (just that teleport is ludicrous. 100m for 1% so if using all spirit power you could travel 10km almost instantly), and overall boost for his all abilities and then another* external spirit bone from that spider. I want to see if Grandmaster knows or can say anything about that armour.

I got a question… how will Tang San other spirit bone evolve if they don’t have a drain ability?
Grandmaster clearly said they grow along with the user then why Tang San skull didnt change after two rings absorbtion? The only changed happened once he killed that spider and used drain!
So how does a spirit bone evolve, when it doesnt have a drain ability? Even after his spirit “rebirth”, where he already had the skull spirit bone, it didnt “evolve” like the Spider Lances.
I sense a plot hole here…

I suggest you read back to read Douluo Dalu – 038 – External Spirit Bone, that chapter explain everything…
Even normal spirit bones should be able to evolve along the user, as the younger you get one, the better it is.
Of course, it could be related to teh fact if they are compatible with the user spirit rings or not… That’s the only plausible theory I found.
I’ll wait for Grandmaster analysis though before making a final judgement. Can’t wait for teh next chapter!

Only external spirit bones actually grow and evolve with the user, others ‘just’ grant abilities and a one-time boost to stats. Obviously, those abilities will get stronger when the spiritmaster gets stronger.

I assume Xiao Wu’s spirit bone gives Tang San two abilities because her soul still resides in it. I mean, she is gonna come back, eventually. Her soul still exists. Maybe the Golden Body protection is a manifestation of Xiao Wu’s desire to protect her lover. And both of the abilities were hers to begin with.
Or maybe I’m just rambling.

Tang San passed Dai Mubai. Mubai was (is) level 64 when TS left to meet Xiao Wu (and in story time that was about 15-20 days ago (I don’t remember if it’s exactly said how long it took TS to reach the forest but since entering it’s been 12 days))

Lots of story with OP characters like that often become close to gods. Or at least Superman-like.
I never liked Dragonball (drawing style is part of it for that one… banana hair, really?! and the french version is plain awful) or Superman, they had too much powers. In Martial God Asura ( a other Chinese novel), the main character clearly gonna get there someday but I prefer it to Tang San, simply because he wasnt born awesome, he became awesome.
Anyway, back to Tang San… I wouldnt be surprise he become a “god”, as even his setback (like the demon spider preventing him to escape), made him more powerful in the end. Even if he restaure Xiao Wu and lose a arm to restaure her by removing Xiao Wu spirit bone, I feel like he wont need both of his arms to be OP. IF he lose his arm at all.
I like when a character is lucky in his badluck but in this story, I cant feel attached to Tang San. Because of it, even is relationship with Xiao Wu seem like a way to make him more powerful in the end. Sure, he will have to give Blue Silver Emperor spirit to her (since its the one with her spirit ring, its the logical choice) but he have twin spirit.
In Tang San case, he looks like he is the puppet of destiny to make him a existence close to a god, like a Asura (which is his nickname when he is gonna be a Titled Douluo, it was confirmed in a earlier chapter with the nickname they chosen for the abttle arenas).
Especially since he is using Grandmaster knowledge AND his knowledge from his past life, I feel like its cheating. I like heroes like Naruto or Chu Feng (Martial God Asura) who started weak but became strong thought hardwork, willpower and wits. I still love Douluo Dalu light novel but its not because of Tang San, rather I love the writting style, the world behind it, the action scenes are awesome, etc.
Anyway, my point is that is probably gonna get even more OP from now on. For exemple. Normal spirit master have a hard time getting ONE spirit bone, yet he have 4 now. His father have a full set though… Maybe its not THAT rare with a powerful background.

I completely agree with you, except for the comparison with Chu Feng… After all CF’s background is probably the most impressive thing ever (not only because he has an super OP bloodline, but don’t forget he got sent to the Nine Provinces by his family, they put the crazy homeless dude there to protect him, they caught the queen of the strongest spirit world, stripped her of her powers, constructed a spirit space for CF, put her in there, caught a second OP world spirit, put him in there too, …) As far as OP background goes, CF is definitively nr1

At the start, he is looked down by his own family and we don’t know about half that stuff. The author give a good job at revealing those one thing at the time too, its not giving it away from the start like with Tang San (memory from past life AND his first teacher is Grandmaster). I didnt reveal all that for the new readers to be surprised like I was when I read it.

Somebody asked Dai Mubai: “Who’s the most terrifying member of the team?”

I’m really looking forward to Thousand Hands Asura now. They once called him Asura as a nickname for his fearsome ability. I think he will actually become THE Asura, the god of war.

When he refers to the spider as having 10,000 years, he isi referring to the category of spirit ring. it is in fact 30,000 years of cultivation, but it still falls under the black rng category {10,000-99,999}

Me, I prefer one chapter per week. Im writing a fanfic about that light novel, the only one I found on the net. The more I know, the less I have to edit my own fanfic.
But I only written 1 chapter so far… I had real life problems that needed my attention.
Anyway, its also because my thirst to know what happen next is not limited to my fanfic but rather simple curiosity as a fan. Especially if their is cliffhanger, its just torture to wait 2 weeks. :p

Why are people reading duolou dalu 2 before we have even finished 1…. Idiots ruining story for themselves, even if it’s about 10000 years after it still gives you idea of how this ends.

Theres no fixed schedule, usually it’s at least one per week though. So theres a good chance of an upload in the next 48 hours or so.

Since many ask when the next chapter will come it will propably take a while from the info in the comments document on the google drive it seems bagelson has his exams right now so yeah propably we will have to wait long this time 🙂

The plot is SO F***ING amazing compared to that manhwa. I am really gratefull to the later because it actually made me enter the amazing world of light novels through this particular one, but still!!!
I think that even after cultivating for 1.000.000 years i won’t be able to ease the excitement in my heart, caused by this novel!!
