  2. What was the clan that dealed with poisons? I want to know how much they know compared to Tang San, if the Duoluo that recognized the flowers knew as much as Tang San but not of to find them then maybe they know a lot too and have legends.

    • Tang San already beat two single attribute clans in their own specialty, Im sure he will beat the break clan in control and use of poisons and the agility clan in their attribute its gonna be a long run but sounds exciting.

      • I’m not sure if Tang San actually beat the Strength Clan in a Strength contest – Tai Tan had been more or less his follower ever since the incident at the gate, and thus, by proxy, the entire Strength clan had already fallen under Tang San’s banner.
        .
Poisons will be an exceedingly easy match up for him. Agility-wise, he has the Stepping technique and the domains, so that should be an easy win too. Neither of those contests should hold too many surprises. No cliffhangers there.
        .
This defence match-up was probably the most difficult one to win, of the lot – tanking attacks head on has never been Tang San’s preferred way of dealing with attacks

        • He’ll probably win over the agility clan with the weapons. The weapons would perfectly compliment their speed and make up for their lack of strength.

Or he could just give them work or some sort of economic stability/support.

If he tried to challenge them to a race, even his techniques would fail to a clan focused on solely speed.

          • Agility isn’t the same as raw speed though; with his Eye and Step techniques, Tang San would probably be able to out-step people who are noticeably faster than him.
            .
Even if it came down to a raw speed contest, with his Spirit Bones and Red Ring effects, he’s probably faster than anyone his level, not to mention the handicap they’ll give him seeing as he’s only 21 years old.

    ….. –> …

None white, the lowest was yellow, yellow, purple black, Niu Gao was very familiar with these three colors.
purple black –> purplish black or purple-black?

    “Eh…… This……”
    …… –> …

“Dad, he’s from the Clear Sky School? You……”

    • It should be “purple, black” since there are rings with those two colors. Also, there’s nothing wrong with more periods =D

      • Lol, Chinese language uses standard 6 dots for ellipsis and English language uses standard 3 dots. So …… = … depending on what language it uses. If someone were to translate from English to Chinese language they would convert from 3 dots to 6 since Chinese do not use 3 dots as per grammar rules depending on which language it uses.

  5. Thanks for the chapter!

Ha ha “You old brothers go on….. talking.” Yeah, they were talking, Tang San and Niu Gao on the other hand…. xD

And Niu Gao’s reaction to Tang San’s twin spirits was priceless. Of course 100k ring would be surprise for 60+ spirit master, but twin spirits? That’s even more 😀 No wonder it took time to realise :´D

“I wonder” what defence clan (or more precisely Niu Gao) will do if they want those “toys” really badly 😀

    • I also thought the same thing. I’m sure Tang San will be wary of this when establishing his Tang Sect especially since they probably aren’t as close to Tai Tan and the Defense Clan. It will be interesting to see how he tests their loyalty though or finds any traitors. They will most likely be crucial for producing poison for the Tang Sect weapons.

  6. This chapter is so good. I’m always amazed by Tang San character. He is humble to everyone even though he’s strong unlike some other mc that I’ve read so far whose arrogance reach high heavens that you wanted to slap him left and right for being a jerk. I really don’t like characters who thinks they own the world and the world owe him something because he has the power to save it. Tsk. I think you know who I’m talking about if you’re reading wuxia *wink.
I really like Tang San and he is by far one of my favorite character. Thanks for the chapter Bagelson!

    • IKR? He’s so great.

I was really surprised when I started reading a novel that wasn’t written by the author of Douluo Dalu. Tang San from Douluo Dalu and Long Hao Chen from Shen Yin Wang Zuo are both incredibly likable, nice people.

Then I meet Nie Li from Tales of Gods and Demons… G-d, he’s so arrogant and screws around with everyone!

      • Are there any other xianxia similar to the two you just mentioned. I’m fairly new to this genre. More of a manga fan but when I found out that doulou dalu was from an actual novel I was super excited. So love the authors writing– I’m actually reading many of his other works but wondered if you had any other recommendations (except Wuxiaworld — already A stalker of that site). Thank you so much in advance. This actually goes out to any and all of you readers. Thankful I am.

  8. Thanks a lot for the chapter.
It’s fun to see the birth of the Tang international logistic Sect for the armies of sects, kingdoms and empires : weapons, constructions, poisons, scouting/informations…
After few years they’ll be able to launch a takeover bid on some kingdoms or to found their own bank ! 🙂

  9. Speculation: ( If this spoils anything I’m sorry but this is just my theory on the story up till now)
Tang San’s old world and new world are the same world. It’s just that the current world TS is in, is the the past.
This can be seen from the appearance of the “Ancient Dragon” (said to be extinct) in the Slaughter City trials and the lack of knowledge that people have compared to TS (i.e Poison Doulou doesn’t know Poison / Tai Tan couldn’t think of bow designs). In fact, it becomes even more likely now because TS is making the Tang Sect. Due to how OP, TS is and how awesome he can do things, he eventually makes his Tang Sect Arts very widely known (Tang Sect Arts -TSA).
Now because TSA makes it so much easier to get stronger (Because one Godly Bow = Lvl 40 Spirit Master, this means if u learn to shoot it you pretty much can match a lvl 40) People start learning TSA rather than going full Spirit Master (especially ppl that don’t have talent to be Spirit Masters) This ,in turn, causes the rises of other “Martial” sects because otherwise TSA would be too powerful (just think!.. TSA is easy to learn if no one discovers a counter to them what could 1000 dudes with godly xbows?) and Spirit masters decline until they are practically rare. This is why Pre-New world TS never heard of em.
At some point in time TS realizes this and since he’s probably gonna go SSJSSG x 10 by the end of 200+ more chapters. Tang San uses his abilities to make original TS warp to past and restart the cycle!

    • It does sound quite likely, there is just one point that bothers me about the theory and that would be, why people in Tang San’s previous world didn’t have/didn’t know about spirits at all. Spirit Masters becoming rare does sound not unlikely under those circumstances, however, it would seem unlikely to me that people would stop using sprits completly, since I imagine that especially Tool Spirits can be useful for everybody (if only to avoid having to buy that specific tool). So, I think that, if your theory is correct, something happens that makes it impossible for people/future generations to continue cultivating/using their spirits.

    • spirit masters can be extinct because of excessive spirit beast hunting. though it can support the theory, the antithesis would be the flourishment of tang sect after tang san’s time. there is doulou dalu ii and the author is the same. i hate to say but it spoiled what happened to tang sect afterwards. it is on the state of stagnation or rather say being obsolete. only the techniques are being passed on and weapons made by yuhao are not hidden weapons but rather soul weapons. also with the direction of weapon development, even if yuhao is a powerhouse blacksmith, the result would not be a hidden weapon tang sect but rather a soul weapon tang sect. given these, the old world, where tang san came from, cannot be the future. it probably existed on another world.

      • another one, but BIG “BUT”: Internal Strength (Misterious Heaven Skill/spirit power) reqires spirit ring to advance to next tier in this world, but it didn’t in his previous. and it is fundamental law of DD world. don’t think that even if SB and SM extinction that law of nature would change or people would find another way, Bcoz if it were, then that metod would work out in his chilhood.

  12. WTF is the gold amount for the crossbow correct? Last time Tang San sold a set of 100 to the 7 pagoda sect for 5 MILLION not 500 gold. Remember the lesser needle hidden weapon sold for 20k, and it was mentioned that it needed more than 10k to cover the cost. This 60 gold cost seems to be a joke.
