  2. Thanks for the translations guys! Seriously no wonder Rongrong’s family has always been so rich. They just have built in treasure detectors lol. Talk about finding a diamonds in the rough.

  3. Thanks so much for the chapters. You guys are awesome! Sometimes it’s not so bad, but the Deus Ex Machina has been rampant lately. He got all that from basically pure luck, and there’s still the auction where he is bound to find something else. It’s still an amazing series, but it certainly gets silly sometimes.

    • Not luck, rong rongs inbuilt treasure finder
for all we know this items could have been there for thousands of years and no one recognized them and then came rong rong

      • Even if she has a built in treasure finder, this is still way too much luck. I presume she has to actually see an item before she can evaluate its worth, and isn’t just drawn to it from miles away. That all of these legendary items would be in the city, that nobody recognized their value, and that she happened to walk into the shops that had them is is a godly amount of luck.

        • Like it had divine intervention right? Thats known as Deus Ex machina. 2 of the most precious metals to ever exist that one of the top smiths in the world has never before seen in town? Just happen to appear when Tang San needs them? That’s ridiculous, don’t think it would’ve killed the author to dedicate maybe 5 chapters of searching and some battling of a high leveled spirit beast that regards it as a treasure. Does he do this? no they might as well have fallen into tang Sans lap while he went to cultivate the purple demon eye in the morning for how easily they were found.

            • Well I think he is kinda right. … I do like the series, and read it from the start. Nonetheless – it sometimes it’s too easy! It’s an ungodly amount of – if not called luck, then coincidence.
And anyone can read anything. Having a different opinion is no bad thing. Also it was a statement, no pure criticism.
              Have a nice day 😉

            • You know, you can enjoy reading a series even while disliking several points about it. I dislike the amount of luck Tang San has as well. I also dislike some other points about the series, but that doesn’t mean that I dislike the series in general. And even if I like a series in general, I can still think that a certain chapter is absolute crap.

          • Well, I don’t really feel like they’re important enough to spend 5 chapters on them. I mean, yeah they’re important to Tang San and the other high ranking blacksmiths, but Tang San said it himself – a few Torrential Pear Blossoms being on the continent won’t make any real difference in the world. I just wish the author would make things a tad bit more believable. Also, I think it’s a bit of a stretch to call this a Deux Ex Machina, which involves an actual problem getting solved. This is just random good things happening.

            • it is duez ex machine, this is entirely what duez ex machine is.. XD its a very badly written novel, with a very bad and undefined plot, the main character is too perfect, the main characters are all given repeatedly godly gifts that other people can never have in a million years. Treasures alsways come into their doorstep by mere luck and rarely do they actually use skill to find these treasures, I mean give me one time that Tang San got a divine godly heavenly, earth breaking, shaking treasure without the help of luck (Except that ancient snake dan tho) this is how i criticize things hahaha but how I love things is different, it gets us all and we all love it meaning it must be beautiful despite the many many many many many many many faults 😀 I SERIOUSLY LOVE IT

              • I meant this instance specifically wasn’t Deux ex Machina. I certainly agree that the story as a whole has had more than its share. A real Deux ex Machina is when a solution to to a seemingly unsolvable problem pops out of thin air. Therefore, you need a problem first. A good example is a new character popping into the story and just handing Tang San a legendary herb that recovers Xiao Wu’s human form, substituting for the other legendary item that was supposed to be absolutely required and incredibly difficult to obtain. And yeah, for some reason I do love it.

                • Ah, right! I only thought this could also be a duez ex machina cause the unsolvable problem is looking for the deep sea sunken silver, And the new character was Rongrong’s ability to evaluate treasures XD

                  Like

                  • The main thing that makes it Deus ex Machina is Rongrong’s ability. It had never before even been hinted that she had such an ability, the she suddenly pulls it out and gets three priceless treasure in an afternoon? That’s as Deus ex Machina as it gets. But like Mr. Anonymous said, I can complain about parts of the series and still enjoy it. I know the next chapter is going to have more Deus ex Machina in it(probably not AS bad though) and I’m still waiting with baited breath.

  5. If the silver is too tough for tang san to forge, exactly how strong was he in his previous life? He would of have to had been at the title douluo level. That means that probably only the patriarch of the Tang Sect should of been able to match up to him, yet he commits suicide.

    • read dawg…. tang san said if you want to learn tang sect tech you gotta give up ur spirit….

means the previous life of tang san has a higher level sect tech… probably comparable to bibidong…

the only reason he still have twin spirit and sect tech because he didnt lose his memory after dying but lose the level of his sect tech…. thats why in the first to 5th chapter he was cultivating it….

      • You should take your own advice and “read dawg”. Tang San never made the Torrential Pear Blossom in his previous life. Even in this chapter, he stated that he had never actually seen deep sea silver before.

        • Tang San’s heart inadvertently started to race. Because, he finally had the chance to once again create the ultimate hidden weapons he spent the whole of his previous lifetime making. The Peacock Plume, Torrential Pear Blossom Needle, Buddha Fury Tang Lotus. Will we finally meet again in this world? If these three kinds of hidden weapons can be produced. Then even if we face off with the real fighters from Spirit Hall, what is there to be afraid of?

YOU FUCKING NOOB DID YOU REALLY READ THE CHAPTER?……. TO ONCE AGAIN CREATE IT MEANS HE ALREADY CREATED IT…. UR SO STUPID REALLY… AND HE SAID THEY WILL MEET AGAIN IN THIS WORLD….. MEANS THEY ALREADY MEET IN THE PREVIOUS WORLD… YOU SUCK DUDE READ BEFORE YOU CORRECT OTHER PEOPLE GO FEED UR MOM TITS

          • You really need to stop digging yourself a deeper hole. First off, you still haven’t addressed Tang San stating “This piece of metal, even I have never seen it before”. Furthermore, in chapter 169, it said “He could even research the production of the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus by himself, if he was given time, making the other two wouldn’t be impossible.” As in, out of the top three weapons, he only ever made the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus. In chapter 170, “Even in the legends of his previous world, there had only been one appearance of the Torrential Pear Blossom Needle.” There was only one ever, so he didn’t reproduce it. There were more chapters that talked about the top three hidden weapons, but honestly I’ve wasted enough time on this already.

And Yes, the part you quoted seems to contradict this, but it’s probably just a quirk in the translation or a mistake by the author. Saying he created ultimate hidden weapons probably just refers to the 3 Buddha Fury Tang Lotus he made, and saying they’ll meet again is really vague and could even just mean he’s seen a picture before. So yeah, I’m going to go ahead and say that the real noob is the person who doesn’t know anything that happened before this chapter.

            • volume 3 chapter 21 — since the author already said he(tangsan) manufactured the weapon, means the later story about tangsan not making the other two weapon was an error in translation.

For example, Tang Sect’s three greatest most terrifying mechanical type hidden weapons, Buddha Fury Tang Lotus, Torrential Pear Blossom and Peacock Plume.
However, these three kinds of hidden weapons manufacturing was actually too challenging, any one type dealing with materials requirements that were all harsh to the extreme. In his current circumstances, they were basically impossible to make. And also, these three kinds of hidden weapons although Tang San had manufactured them all before, having not a little experience. But letting him again manufacture, any one type required consuming at least one year’s time. This was still assuming the materials were found without a hitch.

can i ask again whos the real noob who doesnt read anything before this chapter? so sad to eat ur own words.. 1st thing 1st dude.. this is the volume when tangsan said he manufactured those 3 weapon and this is one of the 1st chapters in soulland….. so sad please reread from start to the latest cause using comment to rank urself one of the fastest reader neglect some of the most important details for you to know… i hope this will slap ur ego and ur mothers ass as a bonus

    • not bedrock, rather a deep sea ore, or to be more precise “deep sea sunken silver ore”.

if you could imagine the pressure at 10kilometers below the deep sea’s surface, and if silver can be compressed like carbon is to diamond, then deep sea sunken silver is like that of a super concentrated silver.

  7. Thank you Bagelson and PiggyBottle for 2 chapters of our beloved Doulou Dalu.

I hope owl404 didn’t give up translating. There are a lot of people who really appreciated his work. To all the assholes that insulted owl404, I have no words to express my distaste for your heartless words. Criticism is good and I learned to see it as a gift, but the delivery method is very important.

I highly appreciate all the effort that goes into translating. You have my respect and heartfelt gratitude.

  9. It’s a bit too convenient for Tang San how he could find all that material so easy 😛 would’ve been cooler if they stumbled upon it in the wild after some massive fight which broke the ground 😉
Thanks for great work translating these as always!

This line gave me the chills… a simple conversation giving rise to the creation of the ‘Mona Lisa’ of hidden weapons.

    Many thanks Bagelson and Piggybottle!

        • the manhwa is a good summary but I think they left of a lot of cool parts, like the valley with the fairy doctor, or the actual swallowing/digesting of the green lotus core flame. also they completely turned yao lao into a comic relief character.

          • XD true, im actually just starting with the light novel cause i just recently finished the manhwa, I just think reading the manhwa first gives off a hype,

id just share this, but I actually really hate reading books, I think theyre verrry boring, every book ive ever tried to read bored me and I couldnt even get past the 3rd chapter before I give up on them (sorry, no offense to anyone) but ever since I discovered Doulou dalu’s manhwa which suddenly very abruptly slowed down by tons in translation speed (they once posted 2-3 chapters per day now its once a month), I was so hyped by every chapter of doulou dalu that I couldnt bear not reading the light novel to know what happened next XDD, but I knew that the light novel might be kinda far off from the manhwa so I read the whoole translation from the start of the light novel by these loving translators, so im proud to say doulou dalu translated by bagelson and many others is the first book ive ever legitly read and have fun reading 😀 that was long hahaha

            • Well, I cam from the Mange too.

The Manga appears to be made more for Children, while the LN is a bit more Mature.
Every important Story part that needs to be Violent is skipped with just a bit of “recap”, or dumbed down.

I´m Glad I switched to the LN. 🙂

That beein said: Thanks for the Translations 😀

              • Yea, I checked, Theres still quite a way to go for Tang. Also I couldnt Resist looking over the Spoilers, (made me excited).

I Hope by the Time DD is Finished, the Sequel has more Translated, the Manga doesnt do it for me. (Even though it seems Interesting storywise)

  14. Thanks for the chapter.

i don’t like the five Devils’ luck : it’s too easy for them to find what they searched.
And I don’t understand why the sellers didn’t try to sell those objects to the blacksmith association or to the smith scholars.

But Rongrong’s talent explains why her clan is the richest. It’s very easy for them to gain a lot of money.
