Just one question: how du you know that there even is a translator who would want to or has the time to do this ‘professionally’, as you put it? Also, professionally would mean somebody who is employed by whichever company holds the rights to this novel and is asked by them to make an official translation. Everything else is a hobby, whether or not the person who does it is accepting donations.
And by the way, if we are talking about a truly professional (ie official) translation, 4 chapters a month would be pretty utopic. How about one novel every half year to year? Would that be better? That would be a truly professional translation though, which you would have to pay for.
So, what you truly want isn’t a professional translation, but a fast one. You also would pay for that, which I appreciate. But I think it is pretty unfair to demand of a group that has already translated over 200 chapters to drop the project because they aren’t going fast enough for you. Has it ever occured to you that this project might mean something to them? It would mean something to me, if I had put this much work in it.
Also, you are complaining that the speed isn’t what it used to be. While that might be true, I don’t have the feeling that it is ‘disappointingly slow’ as you seem to perceive it. Every manga I know has one chapter a week or even less. (I don’t know about light novels though)
And, just because this point pisses me off the most: Just for your information, most translators ‘who are doing this for a living’, aka professional translators would be pretty pissed to hear you call anyone who accepts donations in exchange for translations a ‘professional translator’. You know, it is called donations and not salary, because it is not professional. Because, for it to be professional, there has to be someone who employs you to do it. So, basically what you are asking is to wait until someone makes an official translation. Which might be never.
What I think you don’t understand is that any of these translation you can find on the internet for free is a service by somebody who likes the story enough to put a whole lot of work into translating it. And believe me, translating is work. And not that easy either. It is not ‘natural’ that somebody is doing it for free. It is not ‘natural’ that somebody is doing it for donations either. It is a service by fans for fans. And if people keep demanding more and more, at some point there won’t be anybody who still wants to do it. Because it is not their job, even if they are accepting donations. Because, if a hobby stops being fun, you can just quit.

It might be a taboo, but that doesn’t mean nobody is doing it. And considering the previous pretty active sex life of Dai Mubai, it would be more surprising if they didin’t have sex. After all, it’s not like they weren’t aware of its existence.
Perhaps for those like me, who like to read a lot of chapters continuously instead of 1 every 2 weeks, it is better to drop this series and come back in a year or two when enough chapters have been translated. This way its a win-win. Nobody has to be an F5 addict and hopefully get some productive work done lol. and on the other hand you don’t get complains about the slow pace of translations anymore 🙂 Everybody is happy 😀

I’ll be back after watching the last live for love live on 1st April. Sooo if I am not too dead on Sat maybe I can poop out a chapter this week. But no garuntees, if I don’t make it, I’ll try to translate 2 by next week, so look forward to it.

This article has a lot of unique points of view when compared to the other websites I have read. I simply must tell you that your posts are awesome. This website is like the cookies to a glass of tasty soy milk.
