Yes it was a lot of information. I had speculations, but not quite to this extent. Especially the inheritance of the Seraphim and Seagod. The fact that Tang Chen got to level 99 Title Douluo on his own strength, is quite a surprise when the other two couldn’t. this makes me think that Tang San will be able to be come level 99 as well. Because of the whole faith aspect.
Thanks for this chap. This is probably the most enjoyable chapters in recent weeks, cos it doesn’t involve pis and boundless wisdom from tangsan. I can already spot similarities between dd and coiling dragon (not saying one Copied the other) like another plane of existence for deities, paragons(level 99 TD) and sovereigns(gods), could go on. its quite enjoyable when u realise how wide the dd world is at the moment compared to how it was in the first 150 chaps
So if you want to become a god, you need massive amounts of faith? Then where the hell would Tang Sans ancestor get that faith from? Just the faith from the people of the Clear Sky Clan would probably be insuficient…. The only place I could imagine that is not controled by Spirit Hall, and where people whorship a sort of god, would be Slaughter City (that would also explain why the Deathgod domain fits so well with the Clear Sky Hammer, and why in the manwha chapter 139 we saw a human shaped figure submerged in the blood sea)… but then again Tang San destroyed Slaughter City, so that would mean he killed his own great grandfather… shit happens I guess xD
Your continent’s spirit masters should have more than a few experts among them, but I can be sure than other than Qian Daoliu and your great grandfather, there’s no one who can go past level 97.

There’s no one that can go past lvl97, unless your a worshipper of a certain god…being a spirit hall titled douluo, golden croc douluo is a worshipper of either the angel god or the rakshasa god…
Sigh..its a pity tang san is on his way to becoming a god. Since I started reading dd I thought when tang san met boss dai, it’ll trigger the naruto sasuke rivalry trope but sadly..anyway shrek 7 came along and I thought…fuck what I thought!! The chapters of late explaining tang san and his boundless wisdom and abilities whilst leaving the remaing shrek “monsters” in the blurry backdrop makes me sad… But then I wouldn’t be complaining if I never met this amazing novel.
This is not manga, it`s a fantasy-based story, game-based to be precise because it`s all about level, tactics and hard work of Tang San, he`s the main hero and the other just a party along the way (no hope of being rival, yesterday boss enemy is today ally or just creep enemy). Though I admit of how blurry Tang`s previous life setting`s existence is. Cause it`s not from Douluo Dalu. And probably wont be mentioned throughout story.
How did Tang San and his ancestors end up being cursed with such ill-fated romance? What atrocious blunder must have been committed that it resulted in such generation-spanning misfortune?

I’m in the same timezone and always read on release day, it’s always on Sunday, but at any time between midnights are possible. And yes, I am aware that Bagelson has been away for a while, but he is the guy that translates the most, so he’s a good default to reference in these cases.
True! Bagel is the main dude but it’s also true they sometimes release a chapter on Monday if theyre running late. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Regardless we’ll get a chapter soon

Bagelson hasn’t translated this novel for a month and doesn’t care to update us on whether or not a chapter will be posted. He writes paragraphs on reddit but he doesn’t feel the need to let us know a chapter won’t be coming out. It takes less than a minute, but apparently that’s too much time for him.
Bagelson has been on this since day one and he has no obligatin to tell us shit. He does this of his own validation sacrificing his free time for us. If he would take money for it or something then sure I can see why you would feel like you can complain but this does not apply here.
Just look at how long this has been going palnty of people would have alredy droped this. I have see it so many times already when people just leave a translacion for various reasons (ranging from real life to jsut not beeing able to stang the comments that people were psoting). If you ask me then Bagle has every right to do what he wants (obviosly I hope that he will not drop this but still).

I agree with Grandhamster by the way. If you have a problem with the translation speed or the amount of updates, learn Chinese or hire a translator. I’m sure, if you pay someone to translate for you, they will be more than happy to keep you updated on their progress.
Sure, he was being unnecessarily rude about it, but it gets annoying when almost every complaint is swept aside with a comment of the poster being entitled. No, we aren’t entitled to a chapter being updated or a comment saying that a chapter won’t be released, but it bothers me how many people attack those that complain about something that can be solved simply. Why can’t Bagelson let us know when he isn’t going to post a chapter? It isn’t like he is so busy that he doesn’t have a single minute to post here. I think everyone here understands that real life is more important than translating this novel, but a lot of people expect a chapter on the usual release date. If you aren’t going to post a chapter, then say so. I wouldn’t fault Bagel for taking weeks off of translating, but I would appreciate a heads up so I don’t get my hopes up for the resolution of a cliffhanger only to be disappointed when there is nothing to read. A little communication goes a long way. I think we would have a lot less negative comments if Bagel simply stated, “no chapter this week.”.

This is a comment I can agree with as well. Posting a notice regarding no chapters this week or next would be great but not compulsory. I was annoyed at M’s aggressive and rudeness. Not the content of anonymous’ request for a notice.
A little empathy will also help. These translators have RL issues of their own and this translation is probably not the first thing on their mind. Hence if you think this is unacceptable and you want regular/faster translations, please pay for it and support the Mandarin to English translation community.
I used to be on the side of the white knights, but recently I don’t bother looking at the site more than once a month. The author is done with this particular novel and there are two sequels that have spoilers to this novel with translations out. I appreciate Bagel, however Bagel is slow; Bagel holds up the community you speak of from taking this project on. I’m not sure what you mean by supporting the community. How does that help if Bagel remains a one-man-show (or at least the bottleneck)? The only options I see are legit professional pay-to-translate, or spending a really long time (and probably money) learning the language … or speaking out so Bagel and the community know we’re dissatisfied.
Yes, it’s great that he’s doing us all a favor by translating, but he’s also doing it 100% on his terms, no compromise. He’s read to the end; he doesn’t have any cliffhangers. He knows half of us will throw a fit if we have to F5 all weekend and end up with nothing, but he does it anyway. Just because someone’s doing you a favor doesn’t mean the conditions aren’t worth complaining over.
Say a painter says he’ll paint your house for free, and he comes and does your north wall, and then you don’t see him for a month. Other painters would have done it for a small fee but won’t because this one painter called dibs. Your options are: pay an expensive contractor; or do it yourself (but you don’t have the materials or the tools and you don’t really know how). Are you going to complain?
Don’t really agree with this. It adds unnecessary pressure on the translators to keep their community happy. Try to step back and understand what it would feel like if you were in those shoes, not just for a few weeks, but every week for a couple of years. I think this was a hobby for bagelson, and the idea that he should have to report in makes it sound more like a job.
I’m happy to wait for the new chapter prompt. When it arrives, it’s always well worth the wait.
I’m just going to step in here and say that we HAVE gone almost 2 weeks without a chapter. A little “hey no chapter this week” wouldn’t be so bad. I don’t really care about all the drama. But it is my favorite Novel, so i just would like that to happen. I’m not saying I’m “Entitled” to anything. But we WERE on the Proofreading Stage almost a week ago.

i would say that, it’s really good for the translators to take a break and enjoy life more often. anyway, great improvement on your transliterations armored raven! there are still some grammar errors, but, it’s already acceptable good quality.
I don’t think most people are upset with the translators taking a break. Most of the comments I’ve read are people asking for Bagelson to let people know when he isn’t going to be posting a chapter for the week. It barely takes any time to post a comment or even put out a post letting us know what’s going on. An old translator, piggybottle, once commented that he had already translated a chapter but nothing was posted that week and Bagelson didn’t even communicate with him about it. Yeah, he’s doing us a favor by translating this novel, but communicating isn’t hard.

That would be amazing. I love the surprise multi chapter releases. Reading without having to worry about cliffhangers is the best. Unfortunately, I don’t have the mental stength to wait until a bunch of new chapters are out. As soon as I see one has been translated I drop whatever I’m doing and begin reading it.
There are currently 3 other direct sequels and a few spin off novels in the same universe. His current work is the 3rd sequel, and has a daily release of two chapters. He plans to have 1 more sequel after that.

While complaining about the speed of releases is a bit tactless, at the same time due to the translator community being so close nit as it is, other translators won’t pick up something until it’s been officially abandoned by its current translator. Sometimes when you’re burned out or just no longer have the time, it’s better to just give up rather than put in a half hearted effort and let someone else take over completely, which for something as popular as DD would happen quite quickly I would think.
And I understand ArmoredRaven has taken up the reins but in the end it still goes through bagelson, who has on occasion not posted chapters despite being ready until a week later without any reason given, which to me seems disrespectful not to us fans but rather to the person who put in the actual work and effort into translating it expecting it to be posted. I mean how much time and effort does it take to post?
There is no point in complaining, when Bagelsan doesn’t release a chapter for a few weeks there’s usually one week where there’s 2-5 chapters released at one time like he did a few weeks ago. Everyone just take a chill pill for Pete’s sake.

When a translator translates something and people read it- that translator owes his readers and he has to submit to them.
I’ve always supported them but this attitude is becoming quite aggravating.

1)informing that there will be no release would cost no effort. Not doing so is rude. I know they are doing it for free but this doesn’t change the fact that writing “busy schedule, no releases this week” would be the bare minimum of respect;
2)they prevent more motivated translators from stepping in. I greatly prefer the system where translators are sponsored but releases are consistent, I’m willing to donate if the release speed is good enough;
3)to everyone who will replay something on the line of “they are doing it for free so you can just wait yadda yadda”, I’m just stating facts, I agree that slow releases are best that no releases
While informing that there will be no release cost no effort, it’s not their obligation to do so. They didn’t even give a deadline when they will post the chapter nor did they commit to post chapter(s) every week. The fans simply assumed so and think that it’s their god given right to get at least a chapter every week or a note about no chapters. There’s nothing rude not fulfilling someone’s expectations to do something when you didn’t even promise to or you’re not paid to do so.
If God or the Supreme Being is He, She or It; residing in heaven, up there in the sky or just omnipresent in the known or unknown universe. Do we need to indulge in this debate? Not really. Rather we create our own god based on noble thoughts, ethics, and good karma.

Sigh..its a pity tang san is on his way to becoming a god. Since I started reading dd I thought when tang san met boss dai, it’ll trigger the naruto sasuke rivalry trope but sadly..anyway shrek 7 came along and I thought…fuck what I thought!! The chapters of late explaining tang san and his boundless wisdom and abilities whilst leaving the remaing shrek “monsters” in the blurry backdrop makes me sad… But then I wouldn’t be complaining if I never met this amazing novel.

This is not manga, it`s a fantasy-based story, game-based to be precise because it`s all about level, tactics and hard work of Tang San, he`s the main hero and the other just a party along the way (no hope of being rival, yesterday boss enemy is today ally or just creep enemy). Though I admit of how blurry Tang`s previous life setting`s existence is. Cause it`s not from Douluo Dalu. And probably wont be mentioned throughout story.

I’m in the same timezone and always read on release day, it’s always on Sunday, but at any time between midnights are possible. And yes, I am aware that Bagelson has been away for a while, but he is the guy that translates the most, so he’s a good default to reference in these cases.

Bagelson has been on this since day one and he has no obligatin to tell us shit. He does this of his own validation sacrificing his free time for us. If he would take money for it or something then sure I can see why you would feel like you can complain but this does not apply here.
Just look at how long this has been going palnty of people would have alredy droped this. I have see it so many times already when people just leave a translacion for various reasons (ranging from real life to jsut not beeing able to stang the comments that people were psoting). If you ask me then Bagle has every right to do what he wants (obviosly I hope that he will not drop this but still).

Sure, he was being unnecessarily rude about it, but it gets annoying when almost every complaint is swept aside with a comment of the poster being entitled. No, we aren’t entitled to a chapter being updated or a comment saying that a chapter won’t be released, but it bothers me how many people attack those that complain about something that can be solved simply. Why can’t Bagelson let us know when he isn’t going to post a chapter? It isn’t like he is so busy that he doesn’t have a single minute to post here. I think everyone here understands that real life is more important than translating this novel, but a lot of people expect a chapter on the usual release date. If you aren’t going to post a chapter, then say so. I wouldn’t fault Bagel for taking weeks off of translating, but I would appreciate a heads up so I don’t get my hopes up for the resolution of a cliffhanger only to be disappointed when there is nothing to read. A little communication goes a long way. I think we would have a lot less negative comments if Bagel simply stated, “no chapter this week.”.

This is a comment I can agree with as well. Posting a notice regarding no chapters this week or next would be great but not compulsory. I was annoyed at M’s aggressive and rudeness. Not the content of anonymous’ request for a notice.
A little empathy will also help. These translators have RL issues of their own and this translation is probably not the first thing on their mind. Hence if you think this is unacceptable and you want regular/faster translations, please pay for it and support the Mandarin to English translation community.

I used to be on the side of the white knights, but recently I don’t bother looking at the site more than once a month. The author is done with this particular novel and there are two sequels that have spoilers to this novel with translations out. I appreciate Bagel, however Bagel is slow; Bagel holds up the community you speak of from taking this project on. I’m not sure what you mean by supporting the community. How does that help if Bagel remains a one-man-show (or at least the bottleneck)? The only options I see are legit professional pay-to-translate, or spending a really long time (and probably money) learning the language … or speaking out so Bagel and the community know we’re dissatisfied.
Yes, it’s great that he’s doing us all a favor by translating, but he’s also doing it 100% on his terms, no compromise. He’s read to the end; he doesn’t have any cliffhangers. He knows half of us will throw a fit if we have to F5 all weekend and end up with nothing, but he does it anyway. Just because someone’s doing you a favor doesn’t mean the conditions aren’t worth complaining over.
Say a painter says he’ll paint your house for free, and he comes and does your north wall, and then you don’t see him for a month. Other painters would have done it for a small fee but won’t because this one painter called dibs. Your options are: pay an expensive contractor; or do it yourself (but you don’t have the materials or the tools and you don’t really know how). Are you going to complain?

Don’t really agree with this. It adds unnecessary pressure on the translators to keep their community happy. Try to step back and understand what it would feel like if you were in those shoes, not just for a few weeks, but every week for a couple of years. I think this was a hobby for bagelson, and the idea that he should have to report in makes it sound more like a job.
I’m happy to wait for the new chapter prompt. When it arrives, it’s always well worth the wait.

I’m just going to step in here and say that we HAVE gone almost 2 weeks without a chapter. A little “hey no chapter this week” wouldn’t be so bad. I don’t really care about all the drama. But it is my favorite Novel, so i just would like that to happen. I’m not saying I’m “Entitled” to anything. But we WERE on the Proofreading Stage almost a week ago.

i would say that, it’s really good for the translators to take a break and enjoy life more often. anyway, great improvement on your transliterations armored raven! there are still some grammar errors, but, it’s already acceptable good quality.

I don’t think most people are upset with the translators taking a break. Most of the comments I’ve read are people asking for Bagelson to let people know when he isn’t going to be posting a chapter for the week. It barely takes any time to post a comment or even put out a post letting us know what’s going on. An old translator, piggybottle, once commented that he had already translated a chapter but nothing was posted that week and Bagelson didn’t even communicate with him about it. Yeah, he’s doing us a favor by translating this novel, but communicating isn’t hard.

While complaining about the speed of releases is a bit tactless, at the same time due to the translator community being so close nit as it is, other translators won’t pick up something until it’s been officially abandoned by its current translator. Sometimes when you’re burned out or just no longer have the time, it’s better to just give up rather than put in a half hearted effort and let someone else take over completely, which for something as popular as DD would happen quite quickly I would think.
And I understand ArmoredRaven has taken up the reins but in the end it still goes through bagelson, who has on occasion not posted chapters despite being ready until a week later without any reason given, which to me seems disrespectful not to us fans but rather to the person who put in the actual work and effort into translating it expecting it to be posted. I mean how much time and effort does it take to post?

1)informing that there will be no release would cost no effort. Not doing so is rude. I know they are doing it for free but this doesn’t change the fact that writing “busy schedule, no releases this week” would be the bare minimum of respect;
2)they prevent more motivated translators from stepping in. I greatly prefer the system where translators are sponsored but releases are consistent, I’m willing to donate if the release speed is good enough;
3)to everyone who will replay something on the line of “they are doing it for free so you can just wait yadda yadda”, I’m just stating facts, I agree that slow releases are best that no releases

While informing that there will be no release cost no effort, it’s not their obligation to do so. They didn’t even give a deadline when they will post the chapter nor did they commit to post chapter(s) every week. The fans simply assumed so and think that it’s their god given right to get at least a chapter every week or a note about no chapters. There’s nothing rude not fulfilling someone’s expectations to do something when you didn’t even promise to or you’re not paid to do so.

If God or the Supreme Being is He, She or It; residing in heaven, up there in the sky or just omnipresent in the known or unknown universe. Do we need to indulge in this debate? Not really. Rather we create our own god based on noble thoughts, ethics, and good karma.
Besides His numinous and varied perceptions God also offers a meaningful perspective which can be created by the assembly of good thoughts. And the divine residency begins in that on-going construction.
Basically, it is an eloquent temperament we are trying to build which gives rationality and practicality to the institution of God.
The ecumenical concept of God of being the supreme governor who creates, sustains, and destroys the universe, and everything else including what influences our lives, does not reveal the reasons behind all the puzzles and mysteries of His or Her observable deeds.
