  1. I think has grandpa would. Be called slugger god it’s only right if that’s him, and I think only tangsan dad will know

  2. Seems like people were right. The Slaughter King was Tang San’s great grandfather corrupted and Tang San just released him with the Sea God’s light. If his red sword forehead brand (similar to the trident brand) ‘pure killing intent’ is greater than the Sea God’s light then perhaps with this purification Great Grandfather Tang surpassed 99 and is becoming a god?

    • I wonder if he I dont think so since to becaume a god yourself he would need poeple to worship him since it requires power of faith wich i dont think he had enough off. Even if we count all of slother city (which i dont know if we could since he seams to have been possesed sothey would not really be worshiping him) and his clan that would probably still not be enough since the Sea God needed power of over 1000 tribes to ascend.

On the other hand the faith from slother city could be what corupted him since it came from horrible people.

  3. I think it’s his grandpa. He got high on the blood river to forget his love or to attain power and he lost himself in the process. Or Tang San is f*c*ed. Thanks for the chapter!! 😀

Strangely, after that giant hammer appeared, it very quickly transformed, in the blink of an eye the hammer seemed to have melted, transforming into a more than two meter long giant sword.”). I think Tang found his great grandfather

  5. Maybe he was the “succesor” of the Pontiff, you know, wasn’t there a chapter where Hu Liena received some sort of Angelic trials, a bit like Tang San’s Seagod Trials, and where Bibi Dong mention some sort of “evil” equivalent ? I know it’s after the beginning of the trials, but I can’t recall the exact chapter.
And to support my theory, we know the Pontiff went to slaughter city,

    • Found it (and thus should have looked harder in the first place orz). Its chapter 223 “Angel and Rakshasa”.
It wasn’t Hu Liena, but Bibi Dong daughter who receive an 9 angel trials, and the pontiff mention a rakshasa cultivation and a sort of feud between an Angelic clan and her clan.

Damn a good cliffhanger also nothing like purifying and leveling up your enemy when your enlightened it took a while but I was wondering when they would come back to review Slaughter city, that said the hammer can melt oh what will Tang san do I will need to stay tuned for the next episode of Doulou Dalu.

  7. So basicaly we just witnessed grandpa’s evolution into a god? That’s awesome! Only thing I’m wondering is why his hammer turned into a sword….

    • I don’t think he’s a god. I think he failed his god trials after he turned into the slaughter king. He’ll be a lvl 99 limit duolou, but no longer has the chance to exceed that lvl.

      • He never had any trials. The highpriest said that he out of the 3 Limit douluos is the only one who did it with his own power and is not the Follower or successor of any God. He is like the Original seagod, a man with the Talent and will to become a god.

        • Well, that’s all well and good. but as i said before. Bo Saixi told Tang San that the Seagod would not have been able to become the Sea”god” without the ‘Faith’ of the sea. It would have been impossible. Because going from 99 to 100 is breaking the rules. So without Faith Tang Chen would not be able to become a god. Same with Tang San. He is receiving already existing faith from the Seagod.

          • But what if he goes back to clrearsky School and the outer sects. Would’nt their faith be enough for him to become a God? (Maybe he would need more followers, but after opening the School again to the World and showing himself to the Public, shouldnt that be enough?)

  8. Thanks for the chapter!

“By that, you shouldn’t be called Slaughter King, you should be called Evil King. You’re right, evil energy of course has to be resisted with the energy of justice. Do you really believe your Slaughter Domain is unparallelled? Unfortunately, your level is still far too lacking. Just let me use justice energy to to help purify you. You shouldn’t exist in this world.”

Especially the line “Just let me use justice energy to to help purify you.”

Did Tang San transform into magical girl (boy)??

  10. Judging from the brand on the slaughter kings forehead and the mentioning of the hammer and the sword. I imagine that the king is indeed his paternal grandfather, the candidate for the asura god and that sword he used is his divine tool. This will help explain how his grandfather was able to reach lvl 99 title douluo strength on his own. However, I have doubts about the theory of him turning into a god, it seems to me that in his crazed state he was in capable of using his full strength; which is why he never uses abilities or spirit rings more like a rabid dog lashing out. I think the increase in power is simply because he has been snapped out of the crazed state by the sea gods light and has regained control of his full strength. We all know that even with the trident Tang might not be able to fight a lvl 99 title douluo going at full force, let alone a lvl 99 title douluo undergoing a god trial with a divine tool, this theory will also explain why he was able to so easily rebuke the tridents attack and resist the sea gods light. Basically it would take a divine force and tool to fight a divine force and tool, the only reason why the slaughter king seems so much stronger is due to his status as a lvl 99 title douluo .

    • It sure as hell looks like that’s his ancestor!

But I don’t think the sword is a divine tool (even if that explanation with the asura trial is pretty good)

We heard from the Sword Doulou that above 95 the Spirit abilities arent important anymore and you start to use you Spirit in different ways. Of course a 99er could use his hammer spirit as a sword.
And he wouldn’t be supressed by Seagods light like Seagod Douluo.
The light just purified away the madness from the Slaughter World/Trial. That might have helped him train, but also imprisoned/chained him in the end.

      • It was stated in this very chapter that any domain would be useless against the sea gods light due to it being a divine force while domains belong to the mortal realm, I imagine the same would be true even for bo Saxi domain which leads me to believe that the slaughter kings domain is in some way a divine force. On another note in the previous chapters it states that the trident far exceeds the weight of any known mortal weapon (including the full weight of his grandfathers hamner) and even some divine tools like the angels sword. Also it took the full power of bo Saxi being boosted by Ning rongrong just to move the trident so I doubt even a blow from a clear sky hammer from a lvl 99 title douluo would be able to send the trident flying, especially when you consider that tangs grandfather was defeated by bo saxi. So, the only conclusion that can be reached is that the sword that was mentioned is indeed a divine tool, perhaps attained after his defeat by bo Saxi in slaughter city in his quest to reach lvl 100 and instead was driven to madness by the slaughter domain.

        Like

        • You have to remember though, he was only defeated because it was in the sea, so while he would probably never be able to blow it away if Tang San was at the same level, he is more then10 levels below with 4 of those being the super 95+ levels so he could blow it away with Tang Sans current power.

          Like

          • You do realize when bo saxi lifted the trident she was on sea god island where she is at her most powerful because the island is surrounded by the sea and she can call on the power of the pillars as well. Even with all that she still needed a Boost from Ning rongrong just to slightly move it and you still think a regular lvl 99 douluo (even if he is from the clear sky clan) would be able to send it flying without the use of some divine force? Another thing is that the weight of the trident is absolute it has nothing to do with current power lvl otherwise bo saxi would have been able to lift it just as simply.

            • What if and this is a big if that the sword was a divine tool an is linked to the raksasha clan bibi song was talking about and it’s the evil side of the angelic force it would explain the sword on his head. Also if it was his grandfather he was searching how to become his own god. It the successor of another remember what he said to bo saixi after she told him he had to become a god so he left to find his own way to push past 99 to 100 and slaughter city is too old for him to be his grandfather if slaughter king was there the whole time. And on top of that they mention a man in slaughter city who could use his spirit abilities at the title doulou level who is never around? So way to many questions can’t wait for the next chapter

            • Did anyone forgot about 108 000 jin when the trident not in tang san hand and just 108 jin when tang san hold the trident. So, there was no exception if the trident send flying when both of trident (which actualy still in tang san hand) and bloody sword clash each others?

              Like

        • Actually your exactly right. I went back over what Bo Saixi said, and it is exactly as you said. Because at this point, where Tang San is right now in his cultivation there is no one but Bibi Dong that would stand a chance against him. (I’m also not saying that she WILL defeat Tang San, I’m saying with 80+ level Blue Silver Emperor Grass and no Spirit Rings on the Clear Sky Hammer, It is not guaranteed that either of them will win. Now Title Douluo on both Spirits is a totally different situation. Which is what Bo Saixi speculated would happen when he acquires 8 Spirit Rings on both Spirits.) Now this is WITHOUT using the weight of the trident. So people like Tang San and Tang Chen are the only people who can contest against Tang San. I forgot earlier about the second and easier path, being selected as a Successor. So, yes he is basically in the same stage as Tang San, if not farther. Most likely farther, especially with the purification, Tang Chen should at this point be just one step away from Godhood, so to speak.

  11. Wasent slouther city made by a god? If so then this actualy might be Tang sans grampa. Remember it was said that if Tang San would have failed his trials he would be possesed not dead. So his grams in hsi desperation to get to lvl 100 for his love wend and tried to becaume the next slother god and failed.

As for how he failed (seeing as he was already so strong) he migh have been given a trial that he himself didnt want to complete. This would be an evil god after all plus he would be related to slother. He might have gotten something like “slother your clan” or maybe to “kill his beloved” wich he would not do and thus fail.

  12. Probably his grandfather? Looks like he had some success on the road to divinity aside from being corrupted, but becoming a sword type divinity from a hammer user is odd.

    • I remember the slaughter king talking about Tang San’s father like he was a stranger. He also mentioned the fact that they had met, and neither obviuosly recognized the other, so how could he be Tang San’s great grandfather?
If it is, though, I’ll consider it a major incongruence

  14. This does seem like a somewhat plausible explanation for what happened to Tang San’s Great-Grandfather. He disappeared decades ago after and never came back even when his clan was in trouble. There must have been a reason for that. Since he had to find an unconventional method of becoming a god, Slaughter City might have been it. If he then became corrupted and forgot his past that would explain everything. After being purified he’ll probably be persuaded to give up on becoming a god and go to see Seagod Douluo when Tang San delivers her message. If he actually became a god it would be too much of an advantage for the forces fighting against Spirit Empire, so I don’t see that happening.

    • hmm; i think tang’s great grandfather and bo saixi will be apart of this great battle; however, i think the 3 lvl99 doulous will meet and not play a part in the actual fighting, because 3 of them to fight on earth could be shattering…

  18. Thanks for the chapter and happy birthday to this site.

If the Slaughter King is Tang San’s greatfather, there is something strange : during the first part of the fight, he didn’t use any ability. It’s only after bathing in Sea God’s light that he seemed to be a man and he began to use “common” spirit abilities.
    I don’t know what’s going on, but something’s fishy.

    • Pretty simple, the old guy is chosen by another god as a successor, that’s why he has a sword shape in his forehead. Its probably Asura God, since he has deathgod (Asura) domain.

    • Probably lost his sanity because of the ‘Evil Will’ that he had absorbed. Regained his former strength and mind for a moment. Then went back to being muddled, but because he was purified by the Seagod’s Light he regained his ‘humanity’.

      Like

      • Losing his sanity is not impossible, but if he’s Tang San’s greatfather, he is a level 99 Title Douluo since many years, with a mental strength similar to Tang San and Bo Saixi. We’re talking about a man who was able to reach this level on his own merit, without worshipping a God.

I wonder what ‘Evil will’ could subdue such a man. Where did that come from ?
        – If it’s built upon countless kills to the point to be out of control, then why didn’t he killed Tang San and Hu Liena several years before ? Back then he was totally able to subdue this ‘Evil will’ or ‘killing intent’.
        – If he became an avatar, he should have be able to repel the Seagod’s light.
        – The third possibility, which I prefer, is that he was possessed or controlled by some demon. And the Seagod’s light acted like an exorcism. And that demon should be linked to the Slaughter city from the beginning (such a powerful demon, able to subdue a level 99 Title Douluo, don’t need to hide itself).

    • I think it would be very hard to become a god without the ‘Faith Power’ that Seagod Douluo Bo Saixi talked about. She said it would be impossible even for Sea God to become a level 100 Spirit Master Ascending to Godhood, with out that ‘Faith Power’. So because Tang Chen, Tang San’s great grandpa, is in Slaughter City, where although it has lots of people, it is less faith in Slaughter City itself, let alone the Slaughter King, than it is fanatical killing intent.

    • Why would it be a hammer mark? Asura god’s weapon is a sword. Tang san doesnt have a grass mark or a hammer mark on his forehead.

    1. Both still were injured from a resent fight that it fled from
    2. Both where fought a killed solo
    3. Also while he killed it the spider believed it had won the fight just before
    4. Not it should be said but both people that got external bones either ther shirt or their nature were going in the direction of it, aka tangs abilitys and his thoughts on poisons were spider like
    5. Lastly same condition as for other bones

  21. Hello Bagelson,

First of all, thanks for the amazing work !

Now for the main part, a friend and I started translating your translation in french, for a french forum and are on the verge of being appointed as the official french translators. But before that and before we start translating for the actual website, we would like to have your permission to use your translation. We would ofc say we are using your work and put a link to here.

Though it may seems a bit strange as we already translated 10 chapters, it was only on a forum and we really don’t feel like using your work “for good” without your consent.

Best regards, xoxo, my utmost consideration etc,

Can never understand why people take the time to translate novels like this, but never get GOOD editors to clean it up after the translation. Makes it painful to read. Dunno if later chapters are like this, but the first 20 or so are garbage.

And now he comes with this bs that shes the only good person he has seen from spirit hall, yet he dosent blink an eye and kills hundreds of spirit hall people which he dosent know anything about, that could be good people, and they are pawns that are being used, while shes the freaking SECOND highest person in status, yet he lets all that slide like a retard. Not to mention she has seen his strength and hidden cards now. if he was 1% percent as smart as the author tries to make him out to be, he would get rid of her. Especcially after we have been informed multiple times how he has learned from the tang sect to not let loose ends and get rid of ones enemies, yet he keeps to forgetting it.
