Hey, I don’t know if you are Bagelson himself or have a mean of getting in touch with him, but I left a comment 1 or 2 chapters ago asking if me and my buddy could use Bagelson’s translation to translate it in french for a french website, and we had no answer (at least last time I checked), so I figured I should ask again. We already started translation so it’s a bit impolite I know, but it weights on my consciousness a bit still.
And, a bit more upsetting, but those 2bros have sweet rings and spirit bones, and it’d be rude to let them go to waste if this poison is as bad as it seems… that said, what is poison to tang San?

I agree with other commentators: it’ll take almost a year and a half to finish translating this story at 1 chapter a week; not to be ungrateful that you bring us this story to begin with, but it would be great if we could get 2 or 3 a week to reduce the time it’ll take to finish translating the story. If there’s anything we can do to help speed up the translation process, please let us know.
Four elders, it was stated in the chapter that one was killed by the two beast and Tang just killed ghost douluo. So, it would be four elders and bibi dong and with his class of spirit rings and divine tool he has pretty good chance to at least hold them off to allow the beasts to escape. He will then use use the cosmic sea shroud to dissappear and meet up with the beasts and take their rings and bones, since they seem like they are going to die anyways and they know it so they wanna die on their own terms by sacrificing themselves to Tang that way they can still help revive Xiao Wu and take revenge on spirit hall vicariously through him.
Da Ming and Er Ming really should have chased down and killed the Titled Douluos last time, or at least put more effort into it – it’s weird that their many, many years of survival has not taught them to eliminate future threats and it’s not like they had healing powers to help Xiao Wu.
He’s gonna absorb both rings at once along with one of the spirit bones and the combined spirit power should be enough for him to jump the missing 5 levels into a title douluo. So I’m guessing the python will become the 9th ring for his silver grass and the ape will become the first ring on the hammer.
I don’t think so, do remember that Bo Saixi said something about needing the last spirit ring on Tang San first spirit (his mothers) to be of the Demonic Whale (the one that almost killed him back when they were going to Seagod Island).
But I can feel it, getting two 100th thousand spirit rings on the hammer should power him up at least 2 or 3 spirit levels, but if we add the spirit bones (at least the one he can equip right away)… he should be at least as strong as a 96th powerhouse, if not slightly stronger than that, perhaps even being infinitely closer to the 97th level in battle power.
Man I can’t wait to read the ass whopping he will be delivering.
No the whale is to be last ring for the hammer is what she said. Remember killing the whale will most likely be the ninth test, while the requirements for his eight test is to reach title douluo, revive Xiao Wu and acquire enough spirit bones and rings for both spirits. So he will already be a title douluo when he kills the whale.
Yep, whale =9th ring for his hammer. But still I guess the ape will become his first ring on the hammer and the python will go to his first spirit as a replacement for his very first spirit ring, the daruda snake (remember replaced rings are supposed to be from the same general kind of spirit beast in order to integrate flawlessly)
The python isn’t going to replace his first ring…. You said it already… He’s going to just go get way older spirit beasts of the exact same beast he got the first time… Not replace a garden snake, with a fucking Dragon snake
That’s assuming if Da Ming survives until Tang San revives Xiao Wu which is unlikely as their both at death’s door at this point. It’s most likely both going to hammer.
Bibi Dong is an absolute monster :
– her first spirit changes her body as a spider body
– her four first rings are better than Tang San : Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black.
She could absorb a thousand year old spirit earlier than Tang San. So her third spirit ring should be from a more than two thousand year old monster, perhaps from a three thousand year old or more.
But what I can’t understand is why she has only one red ring on her first spirit. She has grown inside the Spirit Hall, as the previous Holy Maiden. So she could have as many help she needed to obtain the best rings. Morevover she’s like Tang San: her body’s strength is monstrous and she can accept every spirit without worrying about incompatibility.
So why did she choose to have five black rings ? What a waste ! She could have at least two red rings. The only reason I can imagine is the eighth spirit coming from a spider with high closeness to her Death Spider Empress spirit (perhaps the same for the seventh).
It has been stated many times throughout the story that 100,000 year old spirit beasts are incredibly rare. Bibi only has 1 red spirit ring because that’s all she could find, ignoring the water ones, we have only heard of 5: tang-san’s mother, xiao wu and her mother, da ming and er ming.
We know 3 more hundred thousand year beast and probably a fourth : Xiao Bai, the Evil Spirit Orca King, the Demon Whale and perhaps the Blood Red Nine Headed Bat King which possessed Tang San’s great grandfather. There must be others wo don’t know yet, otherwise Tang San won’t have many red rings after such a good start.
Also the is the ginger king, who was mentioned as a possibly necessary ingredient for Xiao Wus revival. He should also be 100 000 years old.
And I truly hope Tans San doesn’t need Xiao Bais spirit ring.
Her spirit ring configuration was the standard ideal one before, so I’m guessing she may have undergone some process similar to the sea gods trials, probably the evil gods trials, which made her spirit rings stronger; or maybe it has something to do with the Rakshasa cultivation path she started practicing, or possibly both, they could be related in some way actually.
As for the black rings on her second spirit, it sounds like she was using the spirit bone fusion method to prepare herself to absorb them, so she’d probably want to be more careful after the failure of the first one with twin spirits; her red ones could be because of a gods inheritance helping her, or fall in with the spirit bone fusion method; so she saved her capacity for red rings for the last 3 slots.
Her spiritrings probably got upgraded when she passed her earlier Rakshasa trial, just like Ning Rong Rong and Bo Saixi. Tang San didn’t get it. You should consider that first
I think bibi dong is taking a test of rakshasa or what with at least the same degree of rongrong’s test and given a rewards of additional cultivation years for each spirit rings. I wonder what step she is currently on her test but according to her spirit ring she’s not that far or maybe her god is not generous in giving rewards.
AS a chinese English major who love DD so much, I have finished reading this
novel 5 years ago. In my opinon, some terms translated into English are not very good,which disappointed me alittle. For example, spirits can been translated better by adding the word martial in front of it .And many readers said there are a lot of contradictions through the whole story, in fact, on Baidu,chinese Google, we readers had already pointed out most of the plot holes.If the translator can refer to it and think for a while, DD in English version can be a better one.
Ok so here is what I am speculating 5/5 100k bones 1/1 external bone. Xia Wu ring will be replaced with 100k and the snakes 100k. So no loss in red rings but one gained. Strong possibility. These two seem to be past saving. Now Seven devils will be getting bones. Whatever was on Ghost will be taken and at least 1-2 more elders may die and their bones taken with possibility of the one that died his bones are also on one of the soon to be dead elsers. Lets face it they omay have lost one but won’t leave the bones behind.they will help revive her and then their two rings will replace 2/5 lost. It’s possible leaves him 3 rings short but that one extra red ring and no loss of 100k bone plus one extra. He should be close to equal footing maybe better since they are lower rings anyway and can quickly replace them quite simply maybe not in this chronological order. They may have a few minutes to a few days to live.
They don’t seem to be in the position to recover. And they can do one last thing for their little sister. And still exact revenge through Tang San. Seem like the likely outcome
Why do people keep assuming he will use the two spirit rings to replace the spirit rings he has to give Xiao Wu. It’s a requirement for him to be a title douluo in order to revive Xiao Wu in the first place, so he needs these two rings to become a title douluo just to revive her in the first place.
Also it was Stated in Chapter 254 that the replacement rings should be also from the same beasts, because of compatibility.
So, he needs to find a good Datura Snake, Ghostvine, ManFaced Spider and PitSpider
Lets not forget Wu’s ring too. And as I said we don’t know how long they will live so it could be like I said mix and match the snake can replace the snake and the other can be his hammer or replace Wu besides did anyone not notice the revival circumstances keep changing. Who’s to say it doesn’t again? One of them could be his 9th ring not the snake obviously he revives and then the snake fills the other snakes ring tada. He may live long enough he may die in 10 minutes. Already said that their lives can end in a few minutes to who knows when. His 9th ring can be anything and he seems to be getting some pretty simple boosts here and there with these unique circumstances. But I didn’t say it was a sure thing assumption. One dude getting all but hurt like I said it was the only possibility. Besides the fact that it is a fantasy story and nothing in it fits to reality and all madr up anything can and will and has happened. And now he has two 100k beasts almost on a platter for him probably willing. And I have been reading soul land II and the beasts in that for the one dude have been volunteering themselves as rings probably because of this situation to become gods.
That’s cool. Was just a thought. Wasn’t sold on anything. After all anything is a possibility. Rather the two survive any way. Would love to see him toss ghosts body in his bag lol
I’d say it’s logical: after all, he’ll still need to proove to the Clear Sky School that he killed a Title Douluo and what better proof could he bring than his head? And don’t forget about the possibility of that dear Ghost Douluo having spirit bones. As Tang San can’t obviously take these bones right now, the most logical way would be to “store” the corpse until he can loot it. He already used such technique against his friends (when fighting 1v6 against the other devils for training purpose) so why couldn’t he use it against Spirit Hall?
The replacement rings have to come from the exact same spirit beast not the same type that was what was said, the python will be his 9th ring and the titan ape the first on his hammer and he will hunt for 10,000 year old datura snake,ghost vine, and man faced spider, as for replacing Xiao he’s it has not been said how exactly that one needs to be replaced.
IF you read that chapter where Bo Saixi said that it had to be certain ring replacements you’d know that it didn’t say that it had to be the exact type of spirit beast. Just same “race.” I’m not completely sure what exactly this means. Neither am i disagreeing with you. I actually Agree. Since it makes sense to put a physically strong ring on a physically strong spirit. And of course their is the 9th ring issue, which will most likely be Da Ming, the snake.
Not to mention the fact they are surrounded by Title Doulous and Bibi Dong and that Da Ming and Er Ming are likely to be dead or sacrificed pretty soon, so it’s not likely for their rings to be replacements.
Welp. I can’t say that I wasn’t expecting it. But we should at least get a notification a week in advance.

I find it quite hilarious and really, rather arrogant that when we actually do get a notice that there is no chapter posted this week, someone wants to have it a week in advance. Seeing as I’ve only ever asked to be told day-of that there would be no chapter.
I can’t get upset I didn’t get something for free because someone else has anlife and didn’t get a chance to takentime out of their life to provide me with a free service. Not to be that guy who bitches about no chapter this week… But since I’ve caught up I feel this bi-weekly rather weekly. Honestly, if it’s to much of a burden I’m sure someone else would pick it up permanently or indefinitely.
Tons of people keep trying to find other translators. But since he’s still barely putting out chapters (1chapter varies 1-3 weeks) no one else will pick it up… So I wouldn’t get my hopes up for another week or two
Tang San didn’t have to consider now the years of cultivation for each replacement for his spirit rings for BSE spirit as long as he could withstand it. A set of at least 10k year rings is not bad coz there’s probably no spirit beast the same of his romantii snake, ghost vine, human face demon spider and pit spider with the cultivation of 100k years. right?
No man faced demon spider for sure, at least not one that has been mentioned, they are usually killed by other spirit beasts before reaching 10,000 years in most cases because of how deadly they are. Again not saying there couldn’t be one but there has been no mention of one in this or in douluo dalu 2 or 3.
Well, in most cases they are killed before reaching 10 000 years, you’re right, but the ones that do reach 10 000 years are almost unkillable, due to this complete stealth ability that they get. So I wouldn’t be too surprised, if at some point a 100 000 years one shows up.
Then again, I would find it even better if Tang San somehow found a way to get sprit rings from titled douluos, and after killing Bibi Dong, he’d get her Emperor Spider spirit, as a 100 000 year ring to replace his Man-Faced Demon Spider ring… but somehow I feel that just when he has the chance to kill her, Hu Lina and Grandmaster will beg him (once again) not to do it, and he’ll let that crazy b!tch live 😦
Dragon king currently being translated, I believe. Douluo Dalu 2: Jueshui Tangmen was canceled by the last translator (cookiepasta) because of life reason (graduated from university, stepping to the next part of life).
Good luck getting a response from them… They’re Shitty at responding. Unless you know his reddit account, they more than likely update information there, more often than the site used for the actual LN

I religiously check these pages every week like the next person, and I certainly am disappointed when I learn we are not getting a chapter but I have one question for you – Why do you ‘deserve’ X from Bagelson? He does not charge for the chapters, he does this because he enjoys it or any other number of reasons but none of those reasons give you any entitlement to chapter releases.
The only person deserving anything here is ‘Bagelson’, he deserves our thanks.
Do you have an alternative for your Douluo Dalu fix if Bagelson decides not to continue doing this? Generally speaking the more people are grumbly and whiny about something the less likely they keep doing it. People are exponentially more hard working when they get positive feedback and have positive feelings from what they are doing.
I apologize for being a little more direct then I probably should have been but I see it every week where people whine about chapter releases, we are getting an awesome (imo) free lunch here and I would really hate anything to jeopardize that.
If bagelson comes out and says he will no longer translate there are so many other translating sites that have reached out to bagelson already but he refuses to move over or be tied down by a certain release schedule. There are many ppl that will gladly pick it up and finish the story

Yes. I do have alternatives. There are translators who would instantly pick this up, because people are willing to donate for these chapters! Money can be made here, if Bagelson dropped this in a week someone would have picked it up to charge for the remaining chapters and cash in.
This is a super popular novel and a first wuxia for a lot of manga readers who found the shitty DD manga first and then found this to continue this story.
I myself have been here since before the Shrek seven devils went out hunting their fourth spirit rings! And have nothing but thanks for Bagelson up to this point, but it’s time. He can’t maintain even the single chapter a week that he fell to for the last year after burning himself out. He is more interested in other things, he needs to step away from the project FOR THE READERS, he may not “owe” us a chapter but for the many who have been here since the early days offering support and endless thanks, he at least owes some respect. And he for damn sure owes the author of DD, right now he is stopping thousands of DD fans from reading further into the series and possibly supporting the REAL author behind the story, as has been said, the sequels are out and the “direct sequel” to this is being currently written, yet Bagelson won’t translate.
And don’t give me that bullshit holidays excuse, dozens of other translators STILL posted their chapters AND EVEN BONUS CHAPTERS AS THANKS TO ALL THEIR READERS for the holidays.

This used to be my favorite story to read but the release rate just one day slowed down to a crawl… 1 chapter a week IF even. Its going to take another year to finish a simple story that only has 300+ ch…. sigh…

Hey i agree. I remember Douluo being the first ever wuxia/xanxia novel that I started reading.. Ever! I remember first reading manga, then after i became tired of their slow releases, transitioned smoothly to online novel readings. During the time i started to read DOULUO, i started and after waiting for a few months, finished Coiling Dragon, caught up on ISSTH, MGA and many more! And those are all thousands of chapters being released 1 to 2 a day and in their thousands now.
So i agree with what this person says. If you cant handle it, because its free etc… Either hand it over to someone else, or figure out a way to monetize properly for good motivation!
I remember just the other day, Wuxiaworld ended up having like Billions of views. And that website and yours are pretty similar in age too? Okay… the recent comments in this thread is completely bonkers. It goes to show how many people think they are self-entitled and think they are somewhat justified in getting a translation.
First of all, Bagelson is doing this as a hobby and not a job so for people that “think” they deserve a chapter because they waited long for the next chapter and people take this for granted. Bagelson isn’t doing this for money as its completely free so why do some people think he is tied down to releases because one chapter hasn’t been updated for a while?
Second, once again “FREE TRANSLATION” in case someone missed the point. There is no monetization here. He isn’t hoarding any licenses or rights to the novels. If any “special snowflakes” thinks otherwise, you can give this website another clean look and see how Bagelson and his crew are doing this not for the money but for the fans.
Third, life sucks. Circumstances are circumstances. Maybe someone had an emergency and can’t contact whatsoever. There is no set schedule here for releases so like most free novel chapter updates. “It comes out when it comes out”.
If you have read this much, you are probably itching to find out what happens next in the story but please guys, have some respect for the people that translate these kind of stuff. They are people, not machines for your pleasures.

Yes, thanks Bagelson for all the hard work etc. I feel the same. But at the same time, as a reader and fan of douluo, this is just too shameful. You(the commentor) say we have no right to speak up for quicker releases. You say we are the worst people. But you know? To me you are just a pussy with no power and no voice. You conveniently do things and offer fake verbal support because that is all you can do.
I am offering alternatives. Real and difficult to hear criticisms are necessary for self improvements and not to mention the furthering of society. Afterall, imagine doing something and making promises of a certain schedule, only to relax and not meet the deadlines because everyone around you is thanking you for what little you have done. How is that beneficial to someone? How can that build character? More like destroying that person… How can we keep tolerating and condoning these actions that are essentially belittling the translator? Everytime someone thanks, sure its good and proper. But everytime someone like you not only gives thanks but also undeserving support and gratitude for someone not even doing the bare minimum, it is just one more excuse trabslators can use to justify it to themselves that they are doing a proper job.
The simplest solution is for Bagelson to give up this project. Hand it over to someone else or join another website. That’s all im asking for. I appreciate everything you’ve done bagelson, but it’s time to move on and let go.
Alternatives? There was no promises made when he first starting doing this. Heck, there is no donation incentive either here so clearly no one is doing this for the money. The bare minimum? Hello? Seriously, last week was New Year. The week before was Christmas. Tell me, how many people like to spend the Christmas Holyday working? Last time I checked, even most people who are paid for their jobs don’t work in this time of year.

Everything you are saying is the definition of entitlement. Someone is translating this for free as a hobby for fans to read. ‘Hand it over to someone else’ because there wasn’t a release for 2 weeks? There’s also been weeks when 2-6 chapters were posted in a single weekend. Pretty sure in the long run it balances out. Have you seen anyone post saying ‘hey I’m a translator that wants to take this up if you aren’t going to release regularly’? No, just complaints. Before you complain, ask yourself, have you done anything for anyone else that wasn’t your child or your significant other (assuming you didn’t have to work, assuming you aren’t an unemployed student) this weekend? Did you want to?
There was a chap on Christmas weekend for goodness sake. You really expect him to work for free on Christmas and New Year when most people don’t even work their normal jobs? Last weekend was a fing Holiday. Who knows what’s up with this weekend, but things come up, and he posted on Christmas day so I’ll give it to him.
The only criticism I have for him is that it is a bit disrespectful to everyone not to post that there won’t be a release on a given weekend. He doesn’t communicate with the community at all. I’d like to know for sure there won’t be a release so I can stop myself from checking the site throughout the weekend.

Guys pls.dont wage war in here. were all entitled to every chapter release because were fans. But sometimes we have to be patient and considerate. I used to be against saying that bagelson should hand this work over to someone else. Since he does this as a hobby and asks for no donations I have always been grateful to wait patiently in order to get my fix. But as time has gone on and bagelson has been getting less and less frequent with his updates I really feel that he is being disrespectful not only to us readers, as he refuses to give a simple message when there is no posts, but also to any other translators who wish to take up this novel but do not do so out of respect towards him.

Four elders, it was stated in the chapter that one was killed by the two beast and Tang just killed ghost douluo. So, it would be four elders and bibi dong and with his class of spirit rings and divine tool he has pretty good chance to at least hold them off to allow the beasts to escape. He will then use use the cosmic sea shroud to dissappear and meet up with the beasts and take their rings and bones, since they seem like they are going to die anyways and they know it so they wanna die on their own terms by sacrificing themselves to Tang that way they can still help revive Xiao Wu and take revenge on spirit hall vicariously through him.

Da Ming and Er Ming really should have chased down and killed the Titled Douluos last time, or at least put more effort into it – it’s weird that their many, many years of survival has not taught them to eliminate future threats and it’s not like they had healing powers to help Xiao Wu.

Welp, with both Da Ming and Er Ming basically being dead men walking, I guess Tang San’s hammer will be getting 2 hundred thousand year spirit rings.

He’s gonna absorb both rings at once along with one of the spirit bones and the combined spirit power should be enough for him to jump the missing 5 levels into a title douluo. So I’m guessing the python will become the 9th ring for his silver grass and the ape will become the first ring on the hammer.

I don’t think so, do remember that Bo Saixi said something about needing the last spirit ring on Tang San first spirit (his mothers) to be of the Demonic Whale (the one that almost killed him back when they were going to Seagod Island).
But I can feel it, getting two 100th thousand spirit rings on the hammer should power him up at least 2 or 3 spirit levels, but if we add the spirit bones (at least the one he can equip right away)… he should be at least as strong as a 96th powerhouse, if not slightly stronger than that, perhaps even being infinitely closer to the 97th level in battle power.
Man I can’t wait to read the ass whopping he will be delivering.

No the whale is to be last ring for the hammer is what she said. Remember killing the whale will most likely be the ninth test, while the requirements for his eight test is to reach title douluo, revive Xiao Wu and acquire enough spirit bones and rings for both spirits. So he will already be a title douluo when he kills the whale.

But still I guess the ape will become his first ring on the hammer and the python will go to his first spirit as a replacement for his very first spirit ring, the daruda snake (remember replaced rings are supposed to be from the same general kind of spirit beast in order to integrate flawlessly)

Bibi Dong is an absolute monster :
– her first spirit changes her body as a spider body
– her four first rings are better than Tang San : Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black.
She could absorb a thousand year old spirit earlier than Tang San. So her third spirit ring should be from a more than two thousand year old monster, perhaps from a three thousand year old or more.
But what I can’t understand is why she has only one red ring on her first spirit. She has grown inside the Spirit Hall, as the previous Holy Maiden. So she could have as many help she needed to obtain the best rings. Morevover she’s like Tang San: her body’s strength is monstrous and she can accept every spirit without worrying about incompatibility.
So why did she choose to have five black rings ? What a waste ! She could have at least two red rings. The only reason I can imagine is the eighth spirit coming from a spider with high closeness to her Death Spider Empress spirit (perhaps the same for the seventh).
And I wonder what is her second spirit…

It has been stated many times throughout the story that 100,000 year old spirit beasts are incredibly rare. Bibi only has 1 red spirit ring because that’s all she could find, ignoring the water ones, we have only heard of 5: tang-san’s mother, xiao wu and her mother, da ming and er ming.

We know 3 more hundred thousand year beast and probably a fourth : Xiao Bai, the Evil Spirit Orca King, the Demon Whale and perhaps the Blood Red Nine Headed Bat King which possessed Tang San’s great grandfather. There must be others wo don’t know yet, otherwise Tang San won’t have many red rings after such a good start.

Also the is the ginger king, who was mentioned as a possibly necessary ingredient for Xiao Wus revival. He should also be 100 000 years old.

Her spirit ring configuration was the standard ideal one before, so I’m guessing she may have undergone some process similar to the sea gods trials, probably the evil gods trials, which made her spirit rings stronger; or maybe it has something to do with the Rakshasa cultivation path she started practicing, or possibly both, they could be related in some way actually.
As for the black rings on her second spirit, it sounds like she was using the spirit bone fusion method to prepare herself to absorb them, so she’d probably want to be more careful after the failure of the first one with twin spirits; her red ones could be because of a gods inheritance helping her, or fall in with the spirit bone fusion method; so she saved her capacity for red rings for the last 3 slots.

I think bibi dong is taking a test of rakshasa or what with at least the same degree of rongrong’s test and given a rewards of additional cultivation years for each spirit rings. I wonder what step she is currently on her test but according to her spirit ring she’s not that far or maybe her god is not generous in giving rewards.

AS a chinese English major who love DD so much, I have finished reading this
novel 5 years ago. In my opinon, some terms translated into English are not very good,which disappointed me alittle. For example, spirits can been translated better by adding the word martial in front of it .And many readers said there are a lot of contradictions through the whole story, in fact, on Baidu,chinese Google, we readers had already pointed out most of the plot holes.If the translator can refer to it and think for a while, DD in English version can be a better one.

Ok so here is what I am speculating 5/5 100k bones 1/1 external bone. Xia Wu ring will be replaced with 100k and the snakes 100k. So no loss in red rings but one gained. Strong possibility. These two seem to be past saving. Now Seven devils will be getting bones. Whatever was on Ghost will be taken and at least 1-2 more elders may die and their bones taken with possibility of the one that died his bones are also on one of the soon to be dead elsers. Lets face it they omay have lost one but won’t leave the bones behind.they will help revive her and then their two rings will replace 2/5 lost. It’s possible leaves him 3 rings short but that one extra red ring and no loss of 100k bone plus one extra. He should be close to equal footing maybe better since they are lower rings anyway and can quickly replace them quite simply maybe not in this chronological order. They may have a few minutes to a few days to live.
They don’t seem to be in the position to recover. And they can do one last thing for their little sister. And still exact revenge through Tang San. Seem like the likely outcome

Why do people keep assuming he will use the two spirit rings to replace the spirit rings he has to give Xiao Wu. It’s a requirement for him to be a title douluo in order to revive Xiao Wu in the first place, so he needs these two rings to become a title douluo just to revive her in the first place.

Lets not forget Wu’s ring too. And as I said we don’t know how long they will live so it could be like I said mix and match the snake can replace the snake and the other can be his hammer or replace Wu besides did anyone not notice the revival circumstances keep changing. Who’s to say it doesn’t again? One of them could be his 9th ring not the snake obviously he revives and then the snake fills the other snakes ring tada. He may live long enough he may die in 10 minutes. Already said that their lives can end in a few minutes to who knows when. His 9th ring can be anything and he seems to be getting some pretty simple boosts here and there with these unique circumstances. But I didn’t say it was a sure thing assumption. One dude getting all but hurt like I said it was the only possibility. Besides the fact that it is a fantasy story and nothing in it fits to reality and all madr up anything can and will and has happened. And now he has two 100k beasts almost on a platter for him probably willing. And I have been reading soul land II and the beasts in that for the one dude have been volunteering themselves as rings probably because of this situation to become gods.

I’d say it’s logical: after all, he’ll still need to proove to the Clear Sky School that he killed a Title Douluo and what better proof could he bring than his head? And don’t forget about the possibility of that dear Ghost Douluo having spirit bones. As Tang San can’t obviously take these bones right now, the most logical way would be to “store” the corpse until he can loot it. He already used such technique against his friends (when fighting 1v6 against the other devils for training purpose) so why couldn’t he use it against Spirit Hall?

The replacement rings have to come from the exact same spirit beast not the same type that was what was said, the python will be his 9th ring and the titan ape the first on his hammer and he will hunt for 10,000 year old datura snake,ghost vine, and man faced spider, as for replacing Xiao he’s it has not been said how exactly that one needs to be replaced.

IF you read that chapter where Bo Saixi said that it had to be certain ring replacements you’d know that it didn’t say that it had to be the exact type of spirit beast. Just same “race.” I’m not completely sure what exactly this means. Neither am i disagreeing with you. I actually Agree. Since it makes sense to put a physically strong ring on a physically strong spirit. And of course their is the 9th ring issue, which will most likely be Da Ming, the snake.

Tang San didn’t have to consider now the years of cultivation for each replacement for his spirit rings for BSE spirit as long as he could withstand it. A set of at least 10k year rings is not bad coz there’s probably no spirit beast the same of his romantii snake, ghost vine, human face demon spider and pit spider with the cultivation of 100k years. right?

No man faced demon spider for sure, at least not one that has been mentioned, they are usually killed by other spirit beasts before reaching 10,000 years in most cases because of how deadly they are. Again not saying there couldn’t be one but there has been no mention of one in this or in douluo dalu 2 or 3.

Well, in most cases they are killed before reaching 10 000 years, you’re right, but the ones that do reach 10 000 years are almost unkillable, due to this complete stealth ability that they get. So I wouldn’t be too surprised, if at some point a 100 000 years one shows up.
Then again, I would find it even better if Tang San somehow found a way to get sprit rings from titled douluos, and after killing Bibi Dong, he’d get her Emperor Spider spirit, as a 100 000 year ring to replace his Man-Faced Demon Spider ring… but somehow I feel that just when he has the chance to kill her, Hu Lina and Grandmaster will beg him (once again) not to do it, and he’ll let that crazy b!tch live 😦

I religiously check these pages every week like the next person, and I certainly am disappointed when I learn we are not getting a chapter but I have one question for you – Why do you ‘deserve’ X from Bagelson? He does not charge for the chapters, he does this because he enjoys it or any other number of reasons but none of those reasons give you any entitlement to chapter releases.
The only person deserving anything here is ‘Bagelson’, he deserves our thanks.
Do you have an alternative for your Douluo Dalu fix if Bagelson decides not to continue doing this? Generally speaking the more people are grumbly and whiny about something the less likely they keep doing it. People are exponentially more hard working when they get positive feedback and have positive feelings from what they are doing.
I apologize for being a little more direct then I probably should have been but I see it every week where people whine about chapter releases, we are getting an awesome (imo) free lunch here and I would really hate anything to jeopardize that.

Yes. I do have alternatives. There are translators who would instantly pick this up, because people are willing to donate for these chapters! Money can be made here, if Bagelson dropped this in a week someone would have picked it up to charge for the remaining chapters and cash in.
This is a super popular novel and a first wuxia for a lot of manga readers who found the shitty DD manga first and then found this to continue this story.
I myself have been here since before the Shrek seven devils went out hunting their fourth spirit rings! And have nothing but thanks for Bagelson up to this point, but it’s time. He can’t maintain even the single chapter a week that he fell to for the last year after burning himself out. He is more interested in other things, he needs to step away from the project FOR THE READERS, he may not “owe” us a chapter but for the many who have been here since the early days offering support and endless thanks, he at least owes some respect. And he for damn sure owes the author of DD, right now he is stopping thousands of DD fans from reading further into the series and possibly supporting the REAL author behind the story, as has been said, the sequels are out and the “direct sequel” to this is being currently written, yet Bagelson won’t translate.
And don’t give me that bullshit holidays excuse, dozens of other translators STILL posted their chapters AND EVEN BONUS CHAPTERS AS THANKS TO ALL THEIR READERS for the holidays.

Hey i agree. I remember Douluo being the first ever wuxia/xanxia novel that I started reading.. Ever! I remember first reading manga, then after i became tired of their slow releases, transitioned smoothly to online novel readings. During the time i started to read DOULUO, i started and after waiting for a few months, finished Coiling Dragon, caught up on ISSTH, MGA and many more! And those are all thousands of chapters being released 1 to 2 a day and in their thousands now.
So i agree with what this person says. If you cant handle it, because its free etc… Either hand it over to someone else, or figure out a way to monetize properly for good motivation!
I remember just the other day, Wuxiaworld ended up having like Billions of views. And that website and yours are pretty similar in age too? Please gove it up if you cant anymore, no one will blame you. In fact everyone will cheer and praise you for being such a wise person… Etc (like the mcs of all the books we read).

Okay… the recent comments in this thread is completely bonkers. It goes to show how many people think they are self-entitled and think they are somewhat justified in getting a translation.
First of all, Bagelson is doing this as a hobby and not a job so for people that “think” they deserve a chapter because they waited long for the next chapter and people take this for granted. Bagelson isn’t doing this for money as its completely free so why do some people think he is tied down to releases because one chapter hasn’t been updated for a while?
Second, once again “FREE TRANSLATION” in case someone missed the point. There is no monetization here. He isn’t hoarding any licenses or rights to the novels. If any “special snowflakes” thinks otherwise, you can give this website another clean look and see how Bagelson and his crew are doing this not for the money but for the fans.
Third, life sucks. Circumstances are circumstances. Maybe someone had an emergency and can’t contact whatsoever. There is no set schedule here for releases so like most free novel chapter updates. “It comes out when it comes out”.
If you have read this much, you are probably itching to find out what happens next in the story but please guys, have some respect for the people that translate these kind of stuff. They are people, not machines for your pleasures.

I am offering alternatives. Real and difficult to hear criticisms are necessary for self improvements and not to mention the furthering of society. Afterall, imagine doing something and making promises of a certain schedule, only to relax and not meet the deadlines because everyone around you is thanking you for what little you have done. How is that beneficial to someone? How can that build character? More like destroying that person… How can we keep tolerating and condoning these actions that are essentially belittling the translator? Everytime someone thanks, sure its good and proper. But everytime someone like you not only gives thanks but also undeserving support and gratitude for someone not even doing the bare minimum, it is just one more excuse trabslators can use to justify it to themselves that they are doing a proper job.
The simplest solution is for Bagelson to give up this project. Hand it over to someone else or join another website. That’s all im asking for. I appreciate everything you’ve done bagelson, but it’s time to move on and let go.

Alternatives? There was no promises made when he first starting doing this. Heck, there is no donation incentive either here so clearly no one is doing this for the money. All I see here is just a frustrated reader who wants something and whining about how there aren’t getting their “itch”. I seen the previous message you put up and guess what each of those stories have in common? Thats right… chapters are being released daily because they are pretty much paid to do so here. And then you speak of handing over the project to someone… This is a load of bull because you know why? Nothing is monitized here, nothing is being processed here. The raws are literally up in the internet. Bagelson doesn’t “need” to hand over what hes is doing. If anyone actually gives 2 licks, they would take up the reigns and start translating the project themselves. You speak as you know the person but all you are doing right now is whining about how he is not releasing anything and being silent, therefore he automatically gave up this project. This kind of thinking is being self-entitled.

Err mate, yes there are raws out there but its bad manners to pick up someone else’s project and start translating. No ones going to pick Doluo Dalu unless Bagelson drops. And stop being a bumlick to bagelson. Just cause “its free” doesnt mean jack, especially when theres alternatives available.
So no i dont have to wait weeks for a chapter, especially since its such a popular story and other translators could translate faster and make money, which is a good thing.

The bare minimum? Hello? Seriously, last week was New Year. The week before was Christmas. Tell me, how many people like to spend the Christmas Holyday working? Last time I checked, even most people who are paid for their jobs don’t work in this time of year.
And as before: pray tell me, where do you get the knowledge that there is someone waiting in the wings to take over?
(And, just as an aside: there are thriving groups with several translators who release a chapter per month. And nobody complains. Just to give you perspective about the ‘bare minimum’ thing)

Everything you are saying is the definition of entitlement. Someone is translating this for free as a hobby for fans to read. ‘Hand it over to someone else’ because there wasn’t a release for 2 weeks? There’s also been weeks when 2-6 chapters were posted in a single weekend. Pretty sure in the long run it balances out. Have you seen anyone post saying ‘hey I’m a translator that wants to take this up if you aren’t going to release regularly’? No, just complaints. Before you complain, ask yourself, have you done anything for anyone else that wasn’t your child or your significant other (assuming you didn’t have to work, assuming you aren’t an unemployed student) this weekend? Did you want to?
There was a chap on Christmas weekend for goodness sake. You really expect him to work for free on Christmas and New Year when most people don’t even work their normal jobs? Last weekend was a fing Holiday. Who knows what’s up with this weekend, but things come up, and he posted on Christmas day so I’ll give it to him.
The only criticism I have for him is that it is a bit disrespectful to everyone not to post that there won’t be a release on a given weekend. He doesn’t communicate with the community at all. I’d like to know for sure there won’t be a release so I can stop myself from checking the site throughout the weekend.

well, if there is a chapter release, I’ll really happy. If there is not a chapter release, I can do something useful for my real life, do other works, or read other novel that is release today. Sometimes, something that I hope is not the best at the current time. I can do other works. But if there is a release today, I will really feel grateful. haha, what a nonsense i say…..

Guys pls.dont wage war in here. were all entitled to every chapter release because were fans. But sometimes we have to be patient and considerate. I have been itching for the next chapter that its making me insanely obssesive in dropping by in this site every minute of everyday, the first thing I do upon waking up is to check here. The thing is I am concern with Sir Bagelson, we didn’t hear anything from him. We dont know what circumstances he might have now that he can’t give us any chapter. All alternatives given are acceptable but we must hear it first from Bagelson.
Let’s give a little more consideratio guys.

I used to be against saying that bagelson should hand this work over to someone else. Since he does this as a hobby and asks for no donations I have always been grateful to wait patiently in order to get my fix. But as time has gone on and bagelson has been getting less and less frequent with his updates I really feel that he is being disrespectful not only to us readers, as he refuses to give a simple message when there is no posts, but also to any other translators who wish to take up this novel but do not do so out of respect towards him.
