ZL just felt like it was getting dragged on and the story is just a bunch of boring battles now… and even the drama and stuff feel forced… and lots of things just feel sexist and too oldish…
But it brought be into the genre so I feel it’s one of the few series I can’t abandon…
I’m just glad Douluo Dalu is still good…. I’m sad about Rongrong now marrying Tang San…. but…. it’s a good story….

You should try DD2: Unrivaled Tang Sect. Frankly speaking, it’s quite good and I really love how badass Huo Yuhao (the main character) turns :p. But be cautious: it contains some spoilers on how DD will end (even more spoilers on the prologue) but it doesn’t tell how everything happened so basically I don’t mind that kind of spoiler but some others aren’t like me for that so you’re warned. However, I definitly enjoyed reading it^^.
The legend of god realm is dd 2.5, and has the original seven devils, a few from dd2, and a few from other books ( magic chef of ice and fire, and I think ancient throne)

It’s been translated by Cookiepasta until december and then Wuxiaworld decided to pick it up and they began their own translation from the beginning. They’re currently at the 3rd chapter. It should take maybe 3 months to reach where Cookiepasta stopped.

now that i think about Sword Douluo Chen Xin and Tang San’s unique ability stemming from his left leg spirit bone, do u think he would be able to attach any right/left arm spirit bone to Sword Douluo and have his arm regrown? or does it need to be the exact same arm that he lost and only specific to an “exact same” spirit bone like in Tang Hao’s case where he had to get those clear sky spirit bones back?
Because just imagine if he could attach a left/right arm spirit bone on him…. that would without a doubt raise his strength by at least 20-40% equivalent to him becoming a rank 98-99 Title/Peak Douluo.
That’s actually a very interesting theory… Until now, if I’m not mistaken, Tang San has just said he could now use his regenerating ability on others but I don’t think there’s an absolute need for a spirit bone unless it’s a case like his father. It would be interesting if he could give back his arm to Chen Xin… even without a spirit bone, it would already be a huge increase in the Heaven Dou power.
As for the spirit bone matter, he’d first need to find one. Not only that, it would have to be a suitable one. I don’t see that happening. Also…sword duouluo is stuck at level 97 because his vitality has been injured. I don’t know If Tang San is able to do anything about that. If he does do anything, he will just regrew his arm
actually Tang Hao’s vitality was also injured and even that was healed due to the unique ability of his spirit bone since it did push him to rank 96 with ease. remember that Tang Hao’s peak rank was 95 for basically the better part of 25 years, and with his vitality being hurt he could grow at most from rank 75-79 in the last 5 years. So i think if he can actually heal Chen Xin then his damaged vitality shouldnt pose to much of a problem.
I’m not sure if he can do that, but even if he did I’m almost certain that he wouldn’t be able to reach level 98-99, not because the spirit power increase is small, but because back when Chen Xin fought the seven devils he mentioned something about how after rank 95 each rank requires an insight not just cultivating, but I may be wrong cause I’m too lazy to actually go back and check it.
yes u are right about the insight he did say it, so i guess his spirit power and combat versatility would definitely increase but his rank might not. but regardless of spirit rank he should still be on par with at least a rank 98 powerhouse with his “possibly” newly recovered arm as we have all seen the dominance of Tang San basically obliterating the ranking system.
