    • Ohhhhhhh So that’s where that lil’ tiger came from *-* I was wondering for god knows how long how Hjc was related to his works…. (though Magic chef was an easy one 😀 )

    • It read more as an orgasm instead of a virginity loss. But then again this is a novel of the authors design, so for all we know it could be that she had sex with the illusion tang-san and thus did that…but fuck it we know for sure 😀

  1. As Im writting my own Douluo fanfic… I am wondering if I should make my main character become a GOD too hahaha!

Sure, I dont like the rise to diety status that much… but It seem like the only way to make a character badass in this setting.

The second option would be to be a guardian of a diety inheritance place. Become level 99 but destined to never rise as a diety?

    However… I’m not sure if I should do it…

Because of it, my inspiration and motivation have being stalled… I’m not sure what the readers would like to see. I made this fanfic first to make to put more background in some overlooked elements… but my thought are in a stalemate in term of the direction I wanna do for this fanfic.

I cannot ask anywhere else. So if someone here have read my Douluo fanfic and want to give me some advice on the direction I should go, feel free to tell me. 😦

    • I haven’t read your fanfic, but I personally don’t love invincible characters. I write a little as well and all my characters have at least some flaws. On the other hand invincibility is kind of a staple of the genre so…
      Sorry if that doesn’t help.

    • Raise to level 99 but instead of getting a gods inheritance (which i think is a little cheap) have mc break through the level cap the hard way and forcefully become a god.

      Like

      • That’s technicly what Tang San is doing. Even if he received the God Inheritance, he didn’t have it the easy way like that Angel God girl I can’t remember the name already.

Those who forcefully became God needed WORSHIP for it. Tang San is getting worshipped by humans from all sides (thx to his accomplishements in the war against big bad Spirit Empire).

And in a LOT of chinese novels, the MC have cheap way to get overpower I realized. A hack, several faithful encounter, a lot of enlightement, etc…

So I believe it wouldn’t be so cheap if I do it. Beside, I need to follow the storyline and I have a plan for it…

But I do admit that becoming a god is a bit… overpowered in my book. However, Its done a LOT in Chinese novels.

So I guess I should just write it up… Maybe I’ll ask in the comments section if I should continue the fanfic once I reach high level or if I should continue. That sound like a good idea…

  2. Um.. affection for Star Dou Forest? Are you kidding me?! The place where Xiao Wu died and Da Ming and Er Ming as well? How the hell would he feel affection for that place?

    • Like a house or home I think. You can’t really hate your grandmother’s house even if she died there.
Or a bit more stretched out, a hospital place would also fit.

  3. So I get that in the end it turned out to be super evil, but he was planning on killing that spirit beast from the moment he sensed its energy. Wasn’t he supposed to be picky about his targets because he didn’t want to kill spirit beasts that weren’t evil? You know, because of Xiao Wu and his mom?

    Like

    • He doesn’t want to kill good hundred Thousand year old spirit beasts because they have developed intelligence on the same level as humans at that point. He needs Spirit Rings so he needs to kill spirit beasts because he can’t always get one from Blue Silver grass or a God. Since his Mom and Wife are both a hundred Thousand year old spirit beasts it would be amazingly awkward for him just to randomly kill other hundred thousand year old beasts unless they have evil intentions. That was why killing the Devil Orca was okay and why killing the Deep Sea Whale is also okay.

      • So a carnivore spirit beast is evil by this stupid definition? Spirit beasts gain cultivation benefits from eating other spirit beast and spirit plants, so what makes one evil (other than the obvious evil god)? Tang San also doesn’t mind turning into a complete sadist to amp the resentment of the victim and boosting its ring.

All in all a clear case of protagonist centered morality.

        • No you idiot, it is it’s cultivation method that contributes to it being evil, beyond the legend of it being possessed by an “evil” god

          – “The Dark Devilgod Tiger possessed an extremely overbearing talent. It didn’t mature through cultivation. Its own cultivation was extremely difficult, and it could only quickly rise in strength through devouring spirit beasts or human spirit masters’ spirit power. Consequently, no matter what environment it appeared in, such a spirit beast would immediately draw down the universal hatred of other spirit beasts, who would destroy it before it had a chance to grow strong.” – It’s cultivation method basically makes it to where it can ONLY CULTIVATE THROUGH DELIBERATE Bloodshed and Massacre, which it does so without second thought, basically like an insane sadist who can only get sexually aroused to the point of orgasm or climaxing by causing potentially serious to fatal injuries on a Unwilling partner, (and then Cannibalizing them afterwards) Every Time.
Is that a clear enough response for you to understand why it is considered evil?

          – “The giant Devilgod Hook on the Dark Devilgod Tiger’s back slowly rose, slowly waving behind it. Each time it moved, it would cause a series of bizarre distorted light halos in the air. Its body was black, but the energy fluctuations it emanated were really gray, a gray filled with evil influence. With each step forward, the surrounding plants would automatically part to open a path, and even the blue silver grass within the Blue Silver Domain’s range was no exception. The temperature in the forest seemed to suddenly drop. That was the cold of wickedness. Tang San had only felt this kind of cold from when Bibi Dong used her second spirit, Soul Eating Spider Emperor.” – Here is a little bonus to push my point home. It is similar to Bibi Dong in how it gives off the feeling of being wicked and will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to achieve it’s desires.

          • What a load of bullshit. I don’t know what kind of sadistic fantasies you dream off, but nowhere in that quote did it state that it likes to torment its prey (unlike Tang San who does just that). All that “evil” tiger does is EAT spirit beasts and because its cultivation method is so stupidly OP all spirit beasts with a semblance of intelligence will kill them before they grow out of their league and eat them too. Like I said, regular carnivore spirit beasts (and humans) also benefit from eating high class spirit beast, but the tiger actually cultivates by doing so. How does that make it evil? How is Tang San NOT evil when he deliberately torments his spirit beast victims to amp up their rings?

Assigning morality to spirit beasts was idiotic in the first place and only done to make killing them more palatable to moral wannabes. What about real life orcas or cats? They both like to play with their prey too. Does that make them evil?

By this authors idiotic logic you wouldn’t be doing anything wrong by torturing and killing “evil” cats and Orcas right?

            • Do you just love to be argumentative? And in no why do I have such sick fantasies or did what i say pass through one ear and out the other? THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE TO HELP YOU GET AN IDEA YOU NUMB-SKULL
yes, it’s cultivation method can be considered OP, but just because it has such a method doesn’t mean it has to be so aggressive. The text said it had the intelligence of a human. It didn’t say it thought like a human. And the text said that it cultivated only through devouring humans and spirit beasts alike. It drew the UNIVERSAL HATRED of all other spirit beasts, meaning it is not liked by anyone. Basically like how people really hate folks that INDISCRIMINATELY kill other people for no other reason than because they are bored.
the previous statement, IS ALSO AN EXAMPLE YOU NUMB-SKULL.
Morality, good and evil are NOTHING more than CONCEPTS that can ONLY exist WITHIN a sapient being’s PERCEPTION
Is THAT a clear enough response? And WHY the fuck do you think that what I used AS AN EXAMPLE would be one of my Fantasies?! For crying out loud I get squeamish at the thought of another person’s insides being visible for all the would to see, not including an injury that clearly shows the white of a person’s bone underneath their skin and muscles in Real Life you asshole but of course you wouldn’t know that because you had ASSUMED that was one of my fantasies, did you stop to consider that i just might have an imaginative mind at all? Of course not.

You have yet to actually refute my original argument of this being a protagonist centered morality (anyone against Tang San or being his potential food is evil)

You also refuse to address how Tang San has started to torture, torment, piss off and toy with his spirit beast victims before killing them. Is that permitted because they were “evil”? I’m sure his mother would be proud if she knew.

                • That is because I CHOOSE not to, though now I know your really are an ass as well as argumentative, since “making an assumptions makes an ASS out of U and ME”. and you just proved my point right there with your response. You know nothing about me yet dare to make assumptions. I had asked if you were argumentative and you proved me correct. What you also did was imply something rather insulting when you assumed that i was a sadist with ” sadistic fantasies you dream off,” or was THAT irony lost on you as well? And you also assumed that I was responding to ALL of your questions, but you did not consider the possibility that I only responded to one of them and was fully aware that my response only answered one of your questions. I am NOT obligated to answer all of your questions. I am aware that I can act like a bit of an ass at times and I accept that, but I doubt you have the same problems I do but for all I know you do have the same problems. So don’t act like your some kind of psychologist for me unless you can show me proof of such credentials. And unless you want to show me your medical history as well, don’t try to talk to me. And honestly? I really am glad that I did not meet you in real life, because I can be assured that I will not meet such a presumptuous prick, so I wont have to pick a fight with you for your insults insinuating that I am sadistic, since I am not like that and I highly doubt the people who DO know me would say such a thing if they were being completely honest.

Or just not acknowledging some of the things I am saying in the first place. so once again, “So don’t act like your some kind of psychologist for me unless you can show me proof of such credentials. And unless you want to show me your medical history as well, don’t try to talk to me.”

  4. This author is really stupid sometimes. An ordinary 100k spirit beast? Really? Like an Ordinary TITLE douluo? The fact that the beast even managed to reach 100k means it’s anything but ordinary, same with title douluo.

    Like

    • Ever heard of the phrase “A genius among geniuses” ? i guess one way to look at it is to compare their “quality” since even among something that is rare there will be a difference in the purity/potency/quality of something, does not matter if it is a rare metal ore, the quality of a person’s talent, etc. there is always some kind of difference.

      Like

      • That’s fine, but the author shouldn’t use ordinary for geniuses even if there are even more exceptional ones. Spirit beasts of 100k rank are supposed to be even rarer than title duoluo (20). A peak elite of less than 20 in possibly billions of spirit beasts isn’t ordinary no matter how you look at it.

It’s like calling the shrek 6 devils ordinary because Tang San is that much better.

        • So you understand what I am saying
In a way you are correct, but that is not what I am saying concerning the other 6 Devils of Shrek.
in Tang San’s case his quality of talent/effort could be considered higher than the others in the Seven Devils (not including Xiao Wu) , don’t forget he also helped them reach their current levels with the heavenly treasure and occasional spirit bone he managed to acquire that he then gave to them which helped them in their own efforts, lets also not forget that Tang San is basically the youngest in age (ignoring the fact that he is reincarnated, if you read the prologue and first chapter it basically tells you he remembers his past life)
We were told that becoming Douluo took effort and talent from the individual to reach such a level as well. Same case for spirit beast getting a cultivation age of 100k, still takes time, talent and effort to survive up to that point.

          • You’re just proving my point now. Just like the Shrek 7 and title duoluo, 100k spirit beast are top tier talents (as well as the luckiest and most hardworking) among monsters. None of them can be considered “ordinary”.

              • It’s almost like your talking about the same thing but still can’t come to an agreement? 🤔 Not exactly able to wrap my head around such an argument.

                Like

        • There’s nothing wrong with that. It can be just considered ordinary in title doulou realm as a whole (dead or alive), but extraordinary for lower realms.

          Like

    • Ordinary 100k spirit beast, like Xiao Wu. Ordinary title douluo, like the Poison King or the Spirit Hall elders or the Clear Sky School elders. Doesn’t mean that they aren’t awe inspiring talents to other spirit masters or beasts, but among other crazy talents like themselves, they are average.

    • Plus keep in mind that a lot of nuance is going to be lost in translation. It’s a bit much to call the author stupid for a single word that rubs you the wrong way. I’ve noticed this a lot in other novels too, authors putting the word ‘ordinary’ before some very high-ranking power, which tells me that it’s just the easiest way to translate it but doesn’t fully convey the meaning the author was trying to establish.
The word for ‘ordinary’ in Chinese could very well carry different connotations than it does in English, even if the meaning is the same.

  9. Even if she inherted the gods legacy, that shouldnt make her a god before she reached rank 100 right? Dosent it just make her stronger and easier, faster and gaurenteed that she will reach rank 100. Because no matter what, she cant already have reached rank 100 before tang, since he levels up already way faster than her and even got multiple 100000 year rings and bones boosts, which i dont believe she got too.

    Like

    • She’s rank 100. Remember her spirit is one of the best, if not the best in the world; a literal divine spirit. Plus her spirit bones all came from one type of spirit, the exact same spirit she has,not he seraphim, so her fusing with them would definitely give her a boost more than fusing with just a regular spirit bone. The way I see it, she’d get a power up because it’s a spirit bone, a power up because the spirit bones are all from the same type of spirit, and a power up because her spirit is the same type of spirit. That’s three power ups per bone instead of the usual one.
Also, just like Tang San, she’d probably get at least one god bestowed ring, as well as having Grandpa-cheat-help.
If you accept all that, and realize she started a rank higher than him as well as that he took time off to kill 500 spirit hall guys, fight his great grandpa, rescue Er Ming and Da Ming, resurrect Xiao Wu, evolve his mom, absorb a couple spirit rings, visit the clan, restore his dad’s limbs, and fight a war, while she just focused on leveling up, it’s not hard to believe that she’s just a couple a days or weeks ahead of him. Hell, everything he did since leaving the island was about three months time where his only real power ups came from absorbing spirit rings/bones and fighting Bibi Dong. In that time, if he’d ignored everything but the trial (other than saving the Ming brothers), he’d already be finished with it, though he’d probably be a couple ranks weaker when fighting the whale.

      • Spirit bones only boost their pyshical strength, so the spirit bones wont increase her ranks even if she has a special affinity with them. The only reason tang has ranked up so fast, is because he got 4 100000 year spirit rings, and his mothers bestowed ring evolved to a over 100000 spirit ring. So even if she also got a god bestowed spirit ring, and was less than 10 ranks above him when they began their tests. So she cant possibly already have reached rank 100 on her own, even with those three extra months where tang did other stuff. Since after rank 90 it takes years to level up, even for geniuses like them, it will still take at least months per level. So its unrealistic she became rank 99 before the inhertence, the only possebility is that the inhertence boosted her all the way up to rank 100, and that it dosent matter what rank one is as long as their pass the test they automaticlly become rank 100 gods

        Like

        • No, they also increase spirit power, and even mental power if they have an affinity for it. It’s not just physical power. You only think that’s the case because almost every time Tang San absorbed a bone, he also absorbed a ring.
You’re forgetting that his power went up when he absorbed the skull bone as well as when he absorbed his mother’s leg bone.

Aside from that, if it only affected physical strength, titled Douluo wouldn’t lose ten ranks every time they lost one, and regular spirit masters wouldn’t have to die when they lost one, they should just get physically weaker.

On the flip side of that, we know spirit rings affect both physical strength and spirit power because of all the times they kept saying the body changed from getting them. So why would spirit bones be any different, especially when they’ve said multiple times that the same person absorbing both the bone and the ring would give a greater effect? That makes no sense if spirit bones only affect physical strength.
