    • I don’t think he did a god inheritance for his hammer, only his grass spirit. Though, if outta nowhere the carnage god (forgot its name) suddenly goes “Ya know..here buddy, you proved already you more fucking insane than I am when it comes to battles. Enjoy!” for his hammer would be epic as fuck and also have me die laughing!

  6. Need a new translator. This one is clearly unable to keep translating. Grateful for all that he’s done but obviously he can’t keep translating anymore. Go do what you need to do man, pass on the translations to someone else.

    • Why not fuck off to Wuaxiadream? They’ve already done a shit translation of the remainder, either be satisfied with that one or wait here patiently without crying.

      • Lol patiently wait? Everyone has been patiently waiting. But the fact that it’s only got 6 chapters left and at the rate he’s been releasing chapters everyone will have to wait until December to finish this off. That just incredibly disrespectful to a community that’s stood by him since the beginning. Even if he’s doing this as a hobby there is still a level a basic respect that is due to your audience, without whom you would have nothing. So, for the fact that he hasn’t even said anything is basically a slap in the face to the community. This discussion doesn’t have anything to do about his quality of translation anymore. I think we can all agree that his is the best out, but he clearly doesn’t care about the translation at this point. So stop telling people to be patient, after 4 years, it’s been long enough.

        • Nothing to do with disrespect, he’s doing it as a hobby and is a very busy student since he started university. He doesn’t owe anybody a damn thing and the entitled attitude of people like you probably puts him off bothering, I know it would for me.

Fuck off and read elsewhere, if instead you care about Bagelson’s translations then shut your mouth and wait patiently, until the end of time if you have to.

          • You’ve got to be one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever come across. Regardless of weather it’s a hobby or not, it’s common curtesy to indie your readers of what’s going on. Personally I couldn’t care less if he translates it or not. It’s retarded people like you who get all butt hurt when someone says they can expect the barest minimum from someone without even saying it in a rude way. So no, I don’t give two craps if he’s a university student. Most translators are university students or people that actually have full time jobs with the same or higher work loads than what he’s got, and yet 95% of them have the decency to let their readers know what’s going on. You’re a pathetic small minded individual who can stand the fact that someone has a disagreeing view and feel the need to try and tear those people down. Grow up kid.

            • Yo anon, you’re an entitled manchild piece of s***.
Almost everything you just said applies to yourself as it is ironic as fudge…
‘You couldn’t care less if he translates or not’ => Yeah clearly you do or else you wouldn’t be complaining.
‘You don’t care if he is a uni student – other uni students bla bla’ => clearly you care enough about him being a uni student to compare it to other uni students in a way better off environment getting financial support from their translations and doing it for their own enjoyment. (I think all of which are lacking for Bagel at this time and point, but hey, you don’t care, do you?…[hint: you probably should if you want to qualify as a decent human being])

And then the most hilarious one of all ‘You’re a pathetic small minded individual who can stand the fact that someone has a disagreeing view and feel the need to try and tear those people down. Grow up kid.’ => Hahahahaha You couldn’t have said anything more fitting to apply to yourself even if you tried. That is comedy gold right there. Irony 101.

Do you know the expression ‘Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth’ ?
When someone gives you something, for free, expecting nothing in return, you don’t ask questions about it.
You don’t go ‘hey, there’s a new version of that, get me that for free as well’.
You are not entitled to anything you do not earn/work for yourself, so don’t ask for it.
You want a good translation that badly? Pay someone to translate it for you then or study up and do it yourself or else keep your pie-hole shut.

  8. I’m absolutely happy with the translations, tbh. It’s simply great, I’m really greatful we have someone like Bagelson because without him I wouldn’t be able to read such a great novel.

The only thing that make me a little bit sad is the lack of information from Bagelson about when the translations will resume. I don’t mind at all having to wait one year if needed, but I think it would be awesome if he could share some news about when he is going to resume translating.

I know people have other important/demanding things to do in their lives, I get that, but a little bit of information wouldn’t hurt, I guess.

Anyways, Thank you very much for all your hard work, mate. Amazing work.

    • Nope, i prefer Bagelson not giving out any word this time. It doesn’t matter anyway. i think, since this translation is a hobby of his and there were a lot of complaints in this site every time there was no release, some even complain about the speed when the release is weekly, some even complaint about the quality. Can you imagine those negative thoughts, and you are doing this as a hobby?
It’s better not to engage with those people who have lots of things to say which are not actually nice to read. He do post info back then, but not in this site. I guess he had gotten tired of it. So him not giving out any word, i really don’t mind.

Those demanding bastards that think they are entitled to anything should know that they are a waste of time. They talk as if they are paying for anything, or even have the ability to pay.

In any way, You can probably read somewhere else those six chapters or wait or i’ll tell you happens next. Haha.

      • Dude i get it, Bagel son got me into reading novels but to say that he cant take 5 minutes out of any day to say this is happening so i cant get chapters out is bull shit. It takes five minutes to tell everybody that is waiting to say that its going to be a while till the next chapter. Also keep in mind that I’m at least 60 chapters back and am waiting patiently for the chapters because i like the quality of Bagel’s translations. Just saying that it is bullshit that he wont even tell people that he is done or he wont have chapter out for a while, which is also fine but information would be nice for his fans

  9. I have been following Bagelson on this journey for 4 years. Since first reading Doulu Dalu as a manga to discovering the lite novel, I have spent endless hours hunched over my laptop as my eyes stole the words off the screen.

Yes- he has been gone for a while and Yes, he did use to post notices and Yes, he used to release multiple chapters within the week.

But to everyone who is putting bad energy into the chat and complaining about no info, you must check your perspective and think what it would have been if Bagelson never even started to translate! Stop feeling like you are owed something, and think about what you are putting out into the world.

    • If Bagelson hadn’t started to translate this, the other translators wouldn’t have given him the respect he got. Hell he has been delaying his releases a lot and other translator’s still won’t pick it up in hope to let him finish it. But if it wasn’t for him picking this up, it would’ve long been finished with probably the same quality as it has here.

I don’t mean to hate on him here, but a little notification would’ve been enough. Just telling us when to expect him to be back.

    • i feel you man, he got me into to novels, but it literally would take him not even 5 minutes to say hey i cant get chapters out for a bit, which I’m cool with, I’ll wait for quality, which I have been for a while. It just think that it wouldn’t be hard to say that it’s going to be a couple months for the last 6 chapters. Also about the whole people thinking they are owed something, I think that they are honestly. everybody on this site could have read wuxiadream, but they didnt because they either respect the quality or are ignorant of the other translation. either way Bagel should at least say something

  10. Seriously bagel-san, I have loved reading this translation. I beg you, please just give us some idea when or if you are even planning on giving us a finish. Because if you are not….seriously…give someone the go ahead to finish it off. They would probably consider it an honor and put in a lot of work to live up to your quality. But we need that end. You have not posted any kind of update in almost 4 months now. Give us some notification your even still around and looking at this page.

  12. Hi is one of the biggest dicks I have seen around. I don’t care if he continues to translate or not. Just let people know.

It won’t even take like 5 minutes to do that. Don’t tell me you are so busy that you can’t spare 5 minutes for your readers.

Even though you are doing this for free, you owe this much. There are other translators who also let their novels out for free and are much more accommodating and understanding. They have a good relation with the readers.

So in the end f*ck you for not telling anything for over 6 months.

In the past few months I have enslaved myself back into the workforce selling my spirit to my boss and blaspheming my body while trying to keep my soul clean. Long story short, I can’t wait for the series to finish just six more to go and I can continue onto the second one. Take care and God bless to everyone.

  14. Hey Bagelson, just came on to say that I started reading your translations right around when Tang San and the Shrek 7 devils murdered a whole team with the new gadgets. I’ve followed your translation all the way to the end and figured the least I could do is thank you for translating this series, I’ve re-read what you’ve translated of the series 3 times already and am probably going to be re-reading it again soon. Hope your doing well and that you continue to be awesome ^_^

Douluo Dalu was what really hooked me into Chinese novels in the first place, and while I’m sad I will most likely not be able to finish it under your translation efforts, I’m very thankful for the world you’ve introduced to me. I hope you’re happy and enjoying life, wherever you are.

Thanks to you for opening the door to the Chinese web novels series. Sadly I’ll never be able to read the ending of DD or any other DD after this since you stopped. But I hope you have a good life and in the meantime I’ll be dropping in every so often to wish you good tidings
