Blue Silver Translation is a collaborative project dedicated to translating Tang Jia San Shao’s Chinese fantasy web novel into English, to share with fans all over the world.

Tang San spent his life in the Tang Outer Sect, dedicated to the creation and mastery of hidden weapons. Once he stole the secret lore of the Inner Sect to reach the pinnacle of his art, his only way out was death. But after throwing himself off the deadly Hell’s Peak he was reborn in a different world, the world of Douluo Dalu, a world where every person has a spirit of their own, and those with powerful spirits can practice their spirit power to rise and become Spirit Masters.

The spirit that awakens within Tang San is Blue Silver Grass, a trash spirit – useless spirit. Can he overcome the difficulties to reach the high ranks of Spirit Masters and bring the glory of the Tang Sect into this new world?

The web novel Douluo Dalu is complete at 336 chapters.

This project evolved from the one man project Bagelson Translation, after being joined by others to form Blue Silver Translations. This blog is an extension for republishing the translations, the primary point of contact will always be the Google Drive folder where it started.

    I think it might be a good idea for you to put some donation box where I/others can reward you for the community service that you people are doing.
    I feel bad for not helping. At least I can do something productive by donating.
    If you don’t though that is fine as well.
    I will be a shameless leecher who just reads then. And go cry in a corner. For being useless.

  13. Guys, please, please for the love of sanity give us mediafire links of full volume PDF/Epub files.
    Google drive takes 5 god damn minutes to go from page to page and going through folders to download stuff is horrid. Google drive is the biggest piece of crap on the Internet.

    • Not really. To begin with, I’d have to rewrite everything to make sense, plus double check it against the source since MTL frequently gets a lot of stuff wrong.

      Proper TLC alone for existing translations practically takes more time than doing a translation from scratch.

  29. I am creating Epubs for the volumes you have released so far if anyone is interested in me making them available let me know. I have not yet gotten images for the cover and haven’t filled in any of the meta data for the epubs yet but i have volume 1 and 2. Im doing this mostly because i wanted to read it on my mobile device and the web setup is less than ideal.

      • Here is a link to the epubs of volumes 1 – 14 one epub for each volume and there is a epub for all 1-10 if you are the type that doesn’t want to change epubs often. Yes it is google drive I have read that some people dislike drive but, well thats were ive put them. Again Thanks for the translation and thanks to the author. I didn’t add the metadata for the most of these but they all have table of contents listing the chapters for those with e-readers that can use them if you want to jump to a specific chapter.

          • I haven’t figured out how to add functional footnotes were you can go directly to the definition or hover reveal the definition yet but they do still have the definitions at the ends of the chapters if that’s what you mean. I’ll see about adding stuff as i learn more about Sigil and have time. Thanks for the hard work translating of course you can add them to your drive if you so wish.

            Edit 5/24/2015: I Added Volume 15 – Illusion Breaking Demon Eye with footnotes and metadata the footnotes are linked to the corresponding word or phrase in the text and visa versa so you can while reading check what the note is and then go back to that same place in the text just like how it works on the online version.

  30. Its a great effort to sit and translate a novel which has 336 chapters and that too for no profit. Id like to suggest a very easy way to translate though. Go to the original content use google translate, copy paste and just correct the names and some wrong translations and voila. You can finish 1 chapter in less than 30 mins. And thank you, its a great story.

  54. Unfortunatly there are trolls in the google-doc for comments. It’s no longer usable. I really pitty the childs, that can only have fun by killing the fun time of others talking to each other about a topic they like.

  56. Thanks for doing this guys, I love this series. And it’s 336 chapters in total? So currently only 1/3 has been translated… that makes me so excited, nothing like having a great series to read. I wish it was all translated so i could take like a month and just read through all of it, but I know how much of a pain in the ass translating is so I’m just thankful someone’s willing to do it.

  57. How often do you release new chapters? I feel like a fool checking everyday for new chaprers, and checking at least 5 times a day for a new chapter. I am not asking you to throw everything away to translate it. I just want to know how often can i see new chapters 🙂

    Wish you would translate more consistently, like having a certain day for releases. Would pay a monthly membership as well. Most likely 30-40% of the readers on this site would too.

    I wanted to get in touch as I am in the process of creating a platform in which translators can increase their popularity and reach a larger audience by sharing their reader base with each other. We are making a platform to benefit translators, they each get to create ‘mini sites’ which will host their content alongside other translators within the same genre.   92. The google drive page is often buggy, but you’ll manage to get through eventually. Bagelson put a sticky about that somewhere on the site: that’s just how google doc is, there’s nothing he can do.
