If you really enjoy the series I would say chapter 1 too, but I think you can pick it up about 120. Its at the end of the big tournament and thats when the big changes start imo. There’s alot missed in the 5 year time skip.

I think he wouldn’t need too. The only reason why I believe they said 80 is because it wouldn’t be possible before then. Now he just jump 4 rings and obtaining a red spirit ring..
I believe maybe 70 would do because that’ll be equal to a title douluo. Now he’s already equal to a spirit douluo being only at 65. So cultivate another 5 and get a red spirit ring and he’ll be equal to a title douluo.
Clear sky school already wants to open their gates and in months it could happen if tang San kills a title douluo.
Then allowing his father to join his school once again.
Plus I bet the clear sky school would allow tang San not reaching 80 if he did the other two.
He already accomplish the hardest thing(in their eyes) and that’s obtaining a 100,000 spirit beast ring. So they would be lenient towards reaching 80.
Don’t forget that the only thing they’ll allow him to do is to come back as a real clear sky member after he cleared those conditions, they required them just for him being able to pray at his grandfathers grave.

No, the guy that broke the 99 threshold CREATED slaughter city, it was never stated that the king of slaughter city was in fact that samE titled douluo, also if he was, he wouldn’t have been shitting bricks at the thought of Tang Hao

Damn! This almost ruins the story for me. If Tang San thinks so little of his Spirit Rings that he’d give them up for a woman then he never deserved them. Also, I’m of the opinion that Amputation is a fate far worse than mere death—and yes, I refused to have my left arm amputated when it seriously threatened to end my own life. It was bad enough when Tang Sen’s father mutilated himself—but at least he wasn’t the main character.
I’ll keep reading hoping that another means presents itself.
