  1. Thanks for the chapter!

I wonder how Xiao Wu is going to advance to Godhood. Unless they find another legacy for her, she’ll either have to do it herself or maybe have Tang San help her once he’s advanced.

    • I think it’ll probably be the reward for completing her trial. Her trial is to accompany Tang San through all of his trials, so it makes sense that she would get a similar reward.

    • Having once been a 100,000 year spirit beast the requirements may be somewhat different but if my guess is correct, what you require to become a god in this story is a physical body beyond a certain level to contain/withstand divine power and divine skills such as Sumero hammer to help bring it out. Well, there are a few other requirements but…

      • If I remember correctly, it’s been said that spirit beasts in human form only had to reach lvl 100 to become gods and that the cultivation process was easier for them (and faster). Maybe they don’t have the same needs as simple humans to ascend to godhood as humans need to gather the beliefs of people.

    • The only thing I will say it definitely has to do with tang-san helping her, but in a very weird way that honestly made little sense when first read.

  2. So they just threw in some random terms that apparently supposed to mean something, towards the end. Three Flowers Gathering Above level? Natural State? Never heard of either of them.

    • Natural State is new to me too, but the Three Flowers Gathering Above was mentioned before in chapter 264.

“After reaching nine rings, this was still Tang San’s first time cultivating. The Mysterious Heaven Skill, like water forming its own canal, accompanied Tang San’s urging of his inner strength to formally enter the ninth tier. Gradually, the white mist surrounding Tang San slowly rose into the air, condensing into three enormous lotuses. It was the level of Three Flowers Gathering Above, Five Energies Governing The Elements.”

I figure that they are some God-level techniques that will be normal in Douluo Dalu II or something.

  3. I wonder who fights on the other front with Star Luo Empire. Originally i thought Qian Daoliu was there, but now… There was explicitely said that Star Luo Empire has much more spirit masters.

  4. So, he gonna make Sumeru great again, by adding all 18 spirit rings to it? That’d be cool.

    • he can’t. He can ony use 1 spirit at a time so max 10 rings, but all his spirit rings will probably be red so it’s gonna be pretty awesome.

      • Did you just say Tang San can’t do something? You clearly haven’t been paying attention. If it’s broken as hell, he’ll do it.

  5. A fight between gods huh?

I wonder what crazy other way Tang San will have to be overpowered.

I will slow down my Douluo Dalu fanfic posting rate. The month of May will be straining for me. For those who dont know it, the link is my username.

    • I’m betting when he reaches god level he’ll be able to freely use both spirits at the same time. They kind of hinted at that before, when he pulled out both at once as a spirit emperor and they said it was because he had gotten stronger.

  6. So if this war is Tang San’s debut to the world as a title dulou, and he hasn’t gotten his title yet, shouldn’t his title be based on the impression he leaves from this battle? I don’t see how you can get thousand hands douluo from what he’s done so far. What would you name him based on the battle he displayed here?

  7. Who reads crap at this pace? One chapter per week? Isn’t it better to simply drop this so other more capable translator could pick it up and do it more justice by releasing at least 5 regular chapters per week?

    • Thanks for the chapter.
Yes, Bagelson’s pace is low. But he really cares about quality. If you’re in such an hurry, look for other sites.

    • Actually, there’s nobody realeasing it a that speed and the faster ones aren’t doing it any justice as it’s simply edited MTL so… basically, Bagelson’s still the best Douluo Dalu translator and it’s completely worth the wait!

    • What do you guys mean that there’s nobody releasing at that speed or difference in quality? Mainstream xianxia translators on wuxiaworld normally release 4 chapters per week at the very least, they have a donation system that nets them around $5000 per month per translator/novel. Forget about the quality, they even thoroughly explain chinese-specific references. If you talk about quality, they could be considered as one of the best chinese translators since RWX only accepts top-notch, battle-hardened translators. Casually reading a chapter there could tell you how much your 1 week worth of quality checking compares to veteran translators.

LNMTL are simply crap, not sure how that got included on this line of conversation at all.

P.S. I don’t mean any disrespect towards Bagelson or his translations. My main message is that this 336 chapter novel is being dragged way too long and if this would be dropped here, I am sure other translators will pick this up and release it more regularly and more faster without sacrificing quality.

      • You can give a look at Wuxiadream. I never read a chapter, but their pace (1 chapter per day) can’t guarantee quality.

Style is important. That’s why I’m not in a hurry.

      • I thought that you were refering to the only other team currently translating Douluo Dalu. Bilbo has named it but really… their translation is like cancer: you don’t want it! They used to publish chapters daily and it was their main advertising point when they came here flooding. However, they’re now publishing 3 chapters/week instead of the 6 promised and their translations are really crap: I was thinking about their translations when I talked about edited MTL.

You don’t need to advertise for wuxiaworld. As almost anyone here, I know their website and I respect them as much as I respect Bagelson: these guys do a really great job and I already read there DD2 and DD3. However, as they’re nice people, they’re certainly not going to poach DD like the other guys did. They’ll let Bagelson finish his project that has already consumed not a little amount of time from him: it deserves respect^^.
